It would be a great quote if the dude knew more wrestling moves than he could count on one hand. He's got an inflated ego and the anabolic warrior only looked good in his matches because so many people had to job to him. Hogan was a shitty wrestler too but warrior makes him look like a technician.

The very reason why I started watching wrestling and became a big fan of this business is because of this guy. Never knew all the issues and troubles he had back then, but whatever it were, he is still a legend and one of the greats in my book.

I mean, I LOVED Warrior as a child because I didn’t realize how much nonsense he spewed, I just loved the look and the energy, but I don’t think he can be called “One of the greats”. He had a very short career, was terrible between the ropes, like seriously terrible, could never sustain his popularity after his first run. He was also terrible to deal with behind the scenes.
Im glad he found some peace at the end, and feel for his family, but he wouldn’t make any top 25 list of greatest wrestlers. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t an incredibly important part of my childhood, and I love the character, but that doesn’t make him a great

Back in 1989 when I was ten years old, I became a die hard Ultimate Warrior fan and I was always extremely fascinated with his powerful charismatic wrestling ability! I used to paint my face like his for Halloween back in the day and I always wanted to be buff and badass like him! When he and Hulk Hogan accepted a challenge against each other at Wrestlemania VI, I will never forget being so impatient as I would continuously wait to see it on video cassette. I found out in advance from an episode of Prime Time Wrestling following Wrestlemania VI that I didn't get to watch since I didn't have Pay Per View access that The Ultimate Warrior won. I was so thrilled that I desperately waited for Wrestlemania VI to come out of video cassette. When watching the whole event for the first time, I was absolutely proud of The Ultimate Warrior for being the first official athlete to dethrone Hogan by pinfall.
The Ultimate Warrior will always be my number one favorite wrestler and his memory and legacy will dwell on forever!
    Always Believe!

Warrior was at his best from '87-90. His physique at 6:09 is ungodly! Some have said that Warrior was a huge mark for himself. In order to be successful in that industry, you have to be a mark for yourself. He believed in his character & will to succeed with it. The problem was he didn't want to improve his craft, apparently didn't care about protecting his peers in ring, & his ego seemed to spiral out of control faster than his ring entrances. That said, he was a huge part of childhood memories, including mine. People talked about him more than Hogan in grade school, & that alone shows how much impact he had in the business.

9:46 This was at a german TV show, hosted by Thomas Gottschalk. I remember seeing this as a ten years old boy.

The Warrior's bodybuilding physique was definitely overlooked. Dude was HUGE, and well rounded.

Warrior dribbling oil from his forehead in '92 was the moment my then-teenage brother knew wrestling was a work. Being a few years younger, I kept believing until I discovered the so-called "dirt sheets" in the form of _Power Slam_ magazine. Ironically, I was actually _younger_ than my bro when I realised (he was fifteen in '92, I was fourteen in '96).

For some people, its better to burn out then fade away.
Loved the way he energised that boring sport when i was a kid, but never watched it after 1992 i think, and never knew about all this other stuff.
    Fascinating what goes on.
Wrestling, has never had another who energised it as then in those early years for him.

How did the ultimate Warrior imposter rumors spread so wide? In my school we thought the real warrior had died also.
How was this spread so easily with no social media back then ?

Exactly my thoughts. Don't know where you're from, but over here in England we all thought the same thing too! Bizarre to think we all had the same train of thought worldwide but with absolutely no method of rumours being able to start with the lack of Social Media or anything of the like. I'm 40 years old now and to this day, I still kind of believe that there were 2 Warriors at some point - even if he only stood in for a few bouts!
