I remember Rocky Maivia's debut very well and getting to see him transform into wrestlings number#1 star was something special. I knew that Samoan Dynasty was big and that High Chief Peter Maivia had been adopted into the Anoa'i family, but it still surprised me at how large the family actually is. That's even after having seen most of the ones named wrestle. Can you imagine what their family reunions must be like?

Sadly not many mentioned are still alive BUT for those who still are and not signed to other companies like AEW it would great to have everyone from the Anao'i Family all together. And those who have not been inducted from the past get inducted and The Usos younger brother (who, to my knowledge is the youngest of this dynasty) inducting them all would be amazing, too.
Man if it wasn't for the WWE, most of us wouldn't know how crazy, humorous and tough Samoans are. Three generations of the Anoa'i family helped inspire generations of young Polynesians to be the tough deadpan showmen they can be. So if you have that only Polynesian friend who knows how to beat some ass and make you laugh at the same time, they probably watched these guys growing up.

There is another branch of this family that wasn't mentioned in this video. Much like High Chief Peter Maivia, Superfly Jimmy Snuka (a WWE Hall of Famer) was a blood brother of the Anoa'i family. The Superfly's son Sim (one half of the tag team Deuce and Domino and then a member of Randy Orton's legacy stable) and daughter Tamina also wrestled for WWE. When he died in 2017, the Rock referred to the Superfly as his uncle.
No disrespect im just kinda bored of ppl calling the samoan dynasty “one of” the greatest family. By FAR, they are the greatest family of all sports entertainment. Numerous wwe champions, hall of famers, longevity, being the faces of the company, tag teams, and i could go on. Theyve done wayyy more than any other family. Makes me proud to be a samoan tbh.
@@baseupp12 The Hart Family, as great as it is, doesn't have the depth of quality wrestlers not mention top stars that the Samoan family has. The only true superstar is Bret (tho Owen could have gotten to that point), where as The Rock and Roman Reigns alone trump the accomplishments of every other Hart member by themselves. I'd throw in Yokozuna in that category as well and now you're talking 3 members who have been world champions and headlined multiple Wrestlemanias. No other family can claim that. Then add to that, the Wild Somoans, the Headshrinkers, and the Usos are each amongst the greatest tag teams of their respective generations. And you get members hitting at all levels, both in the big leagues and in the indies across several promotions.
I would be very interested in how you covered the Von Erichs. I watched their home territory on World Class Championship right after David died, at the beginning of their tragedies in the 80’s. There is already a documentary out documenting World Class Championship Wrestling that focuses mostly on the Von Erichs but also covers the murders of Gino Hernandez and Bruiser Brody, who were frequent performers in that territory. I would be interested in your approach.

I would be very interested in how you covered the Von Erichs. I watched their home territory on World Class Championship right after David died, at the beginning of their tragedies in the 80’s. There is already a documentary out documenting World Class Championship Wrestling that focuses mostly on the Von Erichs but also covers the murders of Gino Hernandez and Bruiser Brody, who were frequent performers in that territory. I would be interested in your approach.
