    I thought Lyrium only enhanced the users connection to the fade. Not so much producing magical power, but allowing the user to tap in more than they would have been able to normally.

    Gotta love self-fulfilling prophecies.
    No lore suggestions at the moment, but I eagerly await all the DS3 lore that's been requested. After you finish the game of course :)

    Another excellent Dragon Age video. You're doing a fantastic job of keeping the information succinct while still covering all the important points and notes. Well done ^^

    IS IT JUST ME... OR... does this sound more like the Warp of Warhammer 40k, because that's the vibe I'm getting here?

      @@fortkavanagh Well, it has some theme that matches the Warp. The concept of demons and spirits coming from the fade matches the Daemons from the Warp, but unlike the modern 40k warp, the fade still has some benefic elements while the Warp is a twisted chaotic realm of evil due to the state of the galaxy as a whole.

      @@thedevilsadvocate788 I agree with you there, but it does feel very uncanny, like it might be part of the warp... BUT in a..... stable area... like in an "isolated rural area in the warp" stable area, am I right?

    The Veil inadvertently blocking spirits from places they were free to roam. Pinned in the fade where the majority of interactions are with fearful mages. Possession became the only way to circumvent the veil and regain the freedom they once held.

    Never understood why blood magic got bad stigma in game. Its okay to throw fire at someone or freeze them to death BUT HOW DARE YOU force the blood out of me.

    • @TrueMastersandMorons
      @TrueMastersandMorons  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We think we kinda glossed over it in the video, but as we recall, blood magic is usually considered to be the only kind of magic that can be used for Mind Control, which seems to be where the biggest bit of stigma comes from.

    Perhaps a video on Fenris is in order? Fenris was literally infused with Lirium by his former master. Won't touch on how for spoiler reasons in case anybody hasn't played. I have played the second game, despite how many players aren't fond of it(not that I blame them really). But I haven't finished it, mostly because I have a massive procrastination problem. I will say that most of the information you can get from Fenris will be from romancing him. And that some of the funniest party banter can happen if your Hawke is Male. Seriously Varric is hilarious no matter who he's talking with, as well as just awesome.

    • @TrueMastersandMorons
      @TrueMastersandMorons  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Full disclosure, Tarren is a Varric fanboy, he thinks that dwarf is awesome and hilarious and after playing the second game, when Varric showed up in Inquisition, there was no universe in which one party slot was not permanently given to Varric, lol
