Just watched the video now, coupled with playing the last open, even if before I hadn’t even been playing LoR very much. I wanted to say thanks, I didn’t interact in a very active way with servers and stuff, but your channel was a place to be part of a discussion that could take its time about a lot of aspects of the game. Your perspective was really interesting to me, that, the montages and stuff on the first CDS, the considerations on gameplay lines, it engaged me a lot, and all was done with great care, and genuine passion, it was a small audience and whatever. It’s like that thing in catcher in the rye about wanting to be friends with the author at the end of a book. You do whatever you want, and there are gonna be people wanting to listen to it :) (As long as it has google slides)
So i topped 6 seasonal + LCQ this year and i didn't make worlds cause i didn't ladder when i should have, and didn't play most of s1 events, but my new years resolution was that i would play worlds 2024, so we were shitting and giggling around the house about how crazy is that i was so close to go pro on something i was doing in my cellophone and then it was DEAD, so yeah blindisghted we got indeed rsrs
I actually did 0 star Veigar against Kai’Sa, I did have him leveled and with relics though, but it was a challenge! And I do feel you on upgrades, I actually keep champions at 0 star as long as possible to enjoy that challenge, I totally feel you on the level down! There are many champions I upgraded when I was a noob and they’re too strong now.
Yeah the relics / levels thing changes it a little. I’m pretty sure he was 9 when I was doing it, which is a little young, but he wasn’t old enough to have autonomy yet. I guess poor example on my end though haha.
@@SpidzWT no I get you, Veigar doesn’t really come online until like level 21 when you have 2 rare relics slots, +2 damage on pokey stick, the draw a champion power, etc. I like the relic system because it reminds me of training Pokémon, you can make a tanky Leblanc or an overwhelm Nasus.
@@imoj ye ye. I really enjoyed doing this towards the start of PoC, again like you upgrading champs ASAP (which saddens me too - I love Illaoi but she was 3 starred instantly :(). I, midrange pilled, always added the ‘give challenger to all allies’ relic lmoaa. There’s so many pretty interesting relics I’ve seen people mess around with since I last played excessively haha.
@@SpidzWT oh my god I 3 starred illaoi too soon too! And I love Laurent Bladerack! I actually used it with Yi and Ashe to defeat everything up until galio. I just love completely dominating the board and not letting the ai have any units around, lol. Quite different from having to scrape by every point of damage in PvP
I remember talking to Priest when the news came out, he was really upset, specially considering how the patchnotes were about to release. Quite a shame honestly, the game never mattered too much to me but seeing people like him and you, who have enjoyed the game for 3 years at this point, have to deal with this now... definitely sucks. Also on the topic of roguelikes, i feel like i have recommended it before but you should prob give Noita the 90% hit rate shot, i think you might somewhat like it's strategic gameplay? emphasis on MIGHT. Besides that, i wish you good luck during Aegis! :)
Noita is on the list dear eggs, I just have to get through 30 other goated roguelikes that also happen to be on the list first 😩. But I’ve seen many an interesting thing from noita prior
