James Last - Music

This performance is from a german TV show in the early eighties. Solotrombone Ole Holmquist (Sweden). Ole is still a member of the James Last orchestra. The guitarplayer,"Big" Jim Sullivan (England), was a member of the orchestra 1978-1987. The song "Music" was written by John Miles.

James Last was a genius musician. A mastermind - like a wizard made musical reconstructions with the bands. The instrumental arrangement productions and multi-colored melodies played by the Orchestra are eternally remembered master pieces. Jim Sullivan (guitarist) is the most prolific UK guitarist ever.
Look at his entry in Wikipedia- you'll be amazed at the man's career.

This is great music - both Ole and Derek. Man, if I could play the lead like Derek just once in my life, I would quit playing trumpet at once....but I cannot, so I keep on playing for fun!!! When Derek plays I get goosebumps. Keep playing all you trumptfolks!!!
