Whether you scold or praise the bird who sings in the morning, it will sing. Because that is what it does. Complete and firm in its purpose and nature.

What if you're not a bird.. I'm imagining us earthlings need a healthy balance between criticism and praise. But on the other hand I so enjoy his teachings and appreciate all you take the time to post there feeling.

Mercy, it's a beautiful poetic analogy: a way of saying something without writing a dissertation. Shifu is being compared to a bird. If one países or behaves like a hater towards him, Shifu, being who he is, will still fulfill his destiny. That is why I love the way Nightcall phrased it. Also, I wish that I could think like Nightcall. He is such a magnificent poet! Saying things the way he did is a figure of speech. Hugs to you, & have a wonderful day!

    "The most beautiful people
    we know are those
    who have known defeat,
    known suffering, known struggle,
    and have found their way
    out of the depths.
They have a understanding of life
    that fills them with compassion.
    Beautiful people don't just happen,
    they're created through hardship."

I love how I've been following Master Shi Heng Yi for a while now and he still manages to offer such clear, concise and precisely phrased perspectives on these teachings. There are many admirable things that Master Shi Heng Yi shows but I particularly appreciate how precise and careful he is in choosing his words. I'm really loving this new series.
Thank you to Master Shi Heng Yi and the Mulligan Brothers team yet again! 🙏

Being extreme in all ways through life was an unintended torturing experience , which was , in hindsight , a learning of realising parts of me and life outside by being in there at those places fully immersed . So much battling for so long a time .
Curiosity often leading to dark terrifying places within and externally .
Had I not , I don't believe I would've been able to relate so deeply to this video and the message . . Exhausting the extremes , I've finally been able to know the differences between things more, and so find a certain centre later in life that simply needed the battles ive gone through to find that my Way is deepened and more understood . Mistake, trial , error , bashing my boundaries to death , the cycles of exhaustion and renewal were all great lessons .
    Thanku for this video

Let me contribute something from an experience I just going through: When you are within a truly big problem you sometimes forget, that you overcame all problems in the past as well. So sometimes all it needs is endurance and also pain tolerance and the absence of anything that could help you. This means, you simply go though it, suffering. But while doing so, your conscious mind creates a solution. For me it was in this personal case: I have to find a way to forgive, in order to get myself clean, and calm and able to sleep again. Forgiving is not in the first place for the one who is being forgiven. It is in the first place, for yourself.

That would be interesting. JP has a lot of understanding, it's not really embodied though, it exists more in the realms of deep thought. Shi Heng Yi I believe, experiences what he preaches in his cells.

My art keeps me like this clear minded. To focus or to not focus on anything but the energy in you . I listen to my inner self energy with others around me. I would sit in front of you either we will have a good vibe or even because I would come with no harm but to be with the people in the group because I would not want to be around negative energy so we would both feel each others inner peace. I would try to let everyone feel my karma I try to remain positive like you and your brothers I'd feel like your brother to you .
