Nearly Nu sounds like a perfect addition to my fragrance wardrobe. I love the idea of a gorgeous iris, woody scent that just sits subtly. Kulfi sounds amazing as does Epidor by Lubin. I hope you do more of these hidden gems, Chris. I love hearing about fragrances that aren’t necessarily talked about a lot. Including those super fun experimental (experiential) ones like Avocado Toast. 🥑💚😂

Discovering hidden gems? Yes please! 👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve only ever sniffed one of these, Poppy & Barley, and I remember loving it! But it’s been a while ago and I’m going to try to dig out my sample! Epidor sounds just beautiful! 😍 My top hidden gem has always been Jo Malone Dark Amber & Ginger Lily- I found it a couple years ago, very early in my fragrance journey. I have commented this perfume on so many people’s videos over the past two years but I still never see it talked about. I think maybe it’s a bit polarizing? Definitely not blind buy safe, but I absolutely adore it, it will always be a top favourite of mine 🖤
I definitely need to get a least a little travel of this. It has all the notes I enjoy!

I love Kulfi by L’Aromatica. Sometimes I layer it with Tom Ford Pour Femme to increase longevity and silage.

Thank you for this video, always love to hear about unknown or lesser reviewed fragrances. Andalusian Soul sounds delicious, I am definitely going to check that one out! Have you tried Erawan from Parfums Dusita? it's definitely a different scent. To me it smells like hay (?) which sounds weird but this fragrance has its followers. You have an adventurous nose so I would be curious what you thought of it.
Also- are those cicadas having their last summer scream in the background? I (thought) I kept hearing the insect love call pop in here and there on this video :D
Lol! 😂❤️Yes the cicadas love to chit chat when I’m filming. And I’ve been eyeing Erawan for months….but have been hesitant because I thought it might be too grassy for me. I’m going to sample it. 😉❤️
I have tried Ange ou démon original formulation and I loved that, so I am looking for one from that line, the one you have sounds beautiful. I do have violet Ida though, and I think that's compared with Dior Homme intense too.

Lots of great recommendations! I especially want to get my nose on Epidor. I have two fragrances from Lubin that I love, Magda and Princesses de Malabar. It’s an underrated brand in general I think

Petitgrain is a different orangetree than where we would would get orange flowers and Neroli from, petit grain is a bitter orange ♥️ it is the nitro-gritty of the details 🥰 but as an aromatic therapist and artist, this is of major importance ❤

It’s a few fun facts, but when and if brands use natural essential oils, even lavender can vary in sweetness or be more fresh depending on the soil, much like grapes used for wine, all being affected in various ways by soil, surroundings, weather and so on. I used to see the Escada fragrances at Norstdom Rack a lot. The bottle always kept me from getting it. Now I hope they still have it lol. ❤

Have you tried TheDua brand? I have several and they are beautiful! Very long lasting, complex. One of my favorite is Aqua Bravata ,so fresh! So many compliments!

Avocado Toast 🥑, . I feel that YSL Le Vestiaire de Parfum Collection Jumpsuit. Girl, the bottle mentions Magnolia, and Bergamot, I get more of the Magnolia. I pick up a Woody and mossy vibe it's unique definitely unisex but I feel like it leans feminine orchidly masculine Just goes with your chemistry but this is a beautiful scent plus for $250 you get 4.2 oz and it's got a great sprayer magnetic ball the bottles great You you know about the La Vista air collection since you have Caftan, which is in the same collection. Makes a great scent for fall even winter going into spring. Also, Blouse from that same collection is back! Out of Stock since winter! Completely underrated! She is classy effortless.I'm getting it as one of my birthday fragrances. Take Care 🤗🙏💐

Wasteland Warrior is fabulous def similar to LDDM but has a little twist in there - Nearly Nu is pretty 🤩

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Banane is a big love of mine. It has a banana and whipped cream top note that I find heavenly.

Really enjoyed this one, Chris! You have me wanting so many of these!! Nearly Nu, Epidor, Vanira Moorea and Andalusian Soul 😋, you got me with the butterscotch note! I want Avocado Toast simply for the name!! So, yeah, almost your entire list 🤦♀😅 The only one I can think of that I'd call a hidden gem is Paisley Dreams by Happyland. It's a gorgeous grown up cotton candy scent with spices, maybe some incense? I wish I could describe it better but I love the cotton candy note that stands out. I have Joop Le Bain on the way because of you! You are going to make me so broke I may have to come live in your pool house!😬😂

Two gems I recently discovered: Santal Basmati (I never thought I'd like the smell of rice in a fragrance, but it's luscious) and La Danza Nobile 1942, which smells like the juiciest apple.

I have been wondering about Nearly Nu, and specifically the performance. I love woody musks, but so many don't have great performance, and I don't want my musks too subtle. I have Creme de Bergamot from For the Scent of It, which I enjoy in summer, but that's the only one I have so far. And now I need L'Ange Noir, because, like you, I have worn Dior Homme Intense but wanted a perfume a little less masculine. Thanks for those reviews! A kind of hidden gem I got- just got Molton Brown Milk Musk and love it.

And Nearly Nu does sit close….but on me…lasts pretty much all day. I love that he has a nice array of samples.
Elixir de merveilles from Hermes is truly underrated. It actually gets me compliments.
Ooh! I tried a sample of that and loved it. The only current flanker I own is L’Ombre…and it’s gorgeous also. 🥰

My hidden gems that no one talks about :
Phlur Lost Cause- a great freshie it’s turned into a dumb reach for me. I have gone halfway through the travel spray and purchased a full bottle.
Phlur Apricot Privee - a great spicy warm fruit for fall. The dry down is warm and cozy.
Frederick Malle En Passant- a soft amazing lilac dominant perfume. It reminds me SO much of a perfume I used to wear in high school for Gilly Hicks. It’s nearly identical. And it’s even more sophisticated.
Now hear me out on the last one… One Direction Our Moment- it’s just so cozy! The opening is sweet berries but the fry down is woody and warm and sweet and is perfect for fall.

I’m embarrassed to admit…I used to never give celebrity perfumes and credit but I have come to find out that is so wrong! Definite hidden gems out there! So I will definitely check that one out! Thank you. And I have En Passant on my “to sample” list already! Awesome! ❤️👏🏻🙏🏻

I actually tried to get it duplicated by a little perfume making place in college cause my backup bottle was half gone and then I came across a sample vial of En Passant and it was magic!

I have been wanting Lubin Black Jade ever since I had a sample years and years back but then forget about it. Now Epidor sounds really great as well. My hidden gem is Or Noir by Pascal Morabito, but I'm a chypre girl and a vintage one as well so it's totally up my alley. I have the vintage original and the new formulation is not exactly the same but really beautiful to me in it's own way. It was very inexpensive on Fragrancenet when I got mine. Longevity isn't stellar on me but oh well! oxJulia

A few hidden gems in my collection - that are also very affordable are: The 2 Paisleys (Sky and Dream) by Happyland Studios, All the Regal Collection by Juicy Couture (Royal Rose, Glistening Amber & Majestic Woods), White Soul Gold&Diamonds by Ted Lapidus and all the fragrances from Good Vibes Perfumes (Whatever, the 100 & Caribbean Lime).

@@ThePerfumeNest Most of their fragrances lean masculine but there are several that are unisex and one that leans feminine...You should definitely check out the 'paisleys' Paisley Sky, in my opinion is an affordable dupe for Mancera's Instant Crush (but I like it better)...and try El Goodo and Homme for the Holidays if you get the chance! I mean, they sell samples so...It is worth your time to check them out - I know you would have fun with this house and I would love to hear your thoughts on them! xoxo

One of my cold weather hidden gems is Cookies & Kisses by Clinique…. Almost a dead-on dupe for By the Fireplace by MMM.

I have tried avocado toast! It reminded me of something and I couldn’t figure out what. While I don’t need a whole bottle, I did like it though it leaned slightly masculine on me. A fragrance that I don’t hear talked about a lot is eau D’ Italie morn to dusk….such a light, pretty non food vanilla to my nose.
