Thank you for a great walkthrough.🙂 Is it possible to set up and use the Creality K2 Plus without a Creality Cloud account? I don’t want to have an account.
hiya Greg, thanks for this. just wondering if you will root this thing in the near future? if yes, be much appreciated if you can do a vid on it. Thanks
I don't know what to think, I want to believe the people saying how great the K2 is, but there are also people complaining about it. It's probably somewhere in the middle. I like my K1 max, but after using an X1C when we bought one at my work, it does print better. Although a lot better when we first got it. The A1 mini has really been the most consistent, I just wish it was way bigger and enclosed. I've been trying to talk my boss into talking our higher ups to buy the K2 Plus but he wants to wait on a bigger Bambu printer. We ve had some prints lately that are just too big for the X1C. I think the K2 is going to be really good, when all the smoke clears. I wish I had the money to buy one myself. My complaint with my K1 max is the bed leveling, it seems like the K2s thicker bed will fix that issue along with some other things they added. I hope the people talking it up are right. I thought the K1 was close to being great just some things here and there they needed to improve. The CFS seems to cover some of my gripes with the AMS. when is Bambu going to release their X2C or Plus/max? I have a feeling it may be awhile but you never know, I hope that's what they're working on.
I'm in the same boat. The K2 is really exciting because of its build volume, but Creality don't exactly have the best track record compared to others like Bambu. Currently, the only real shortcoming with Bambu is the lack of build volume, and no one seems to know if they're thinking of making a larger printer. I'd hate to buy a new printer now, only to have them announce a 350-cubed machine next month or something. Their current sale prices are pretty hard to beat, though. I dunno...decisions, decisions.
The K2 will surely be a beast of a printer as it evolves with firmware updates and perhaps even minor part revisions. Whatever Bambu makes, I am sure will be great as well. They too have had launch pains. It's normal
My K2 Plus has a warped bed and will not print a good first layer. It has at least a .5 mm bow in it. I know it doesn't sound like much but is is impossible to set a good z offset.
One question has occurred to me, when loading the spool holder you use the chip reader on the side, but when loading the CFS do you still have to tap the spools on the side reader or are there readers in the CFS
@@3DRundown I have watched your vid about 10 time, find it very interesting, you said let's load the CFS 😉, again thank for making your vids so enjoyable to watch, makes me smile......anyway we don't stick our little finger out whilst drinking tea 🫣 that's one of your US "think we do"😂 but was funny 🤣
Great video's, I really enjoy them and get a lot out of them. The auto bed leveling is done before every print even without calibration checked. The calibration does other stuff that shouldn't need to be done that often. Yes for the first print on a machine it should be done but not because the bed was touched.
I would like to get this printer! I currently have an Ender 3 Pro and I just had to repair it for about the 5th time last night. It would randomly just thrust down into what was already printed and melt filament into the sides around the rubber that’s sits on the nozzle and and make a big chunk of filament on the side of the heater… pain…
I have a one step and 2 step in my Toy room. I am above average in height but all my shelving goes all the way to the 8 foot ceiling. I did put felt under the feet of the K2 so I can turn it to get to the back.
I think it's using a different nozzle. But it's been a hot minute since I read the specifications on the build, plus you never know what they changed between the specs and the actual build a launched out the door.
Nice work 👍 The tilting bed is something else, I have an IDEX actually two of the same model. One I can move one side or the other just swapping out filament. You can also raise or lower it with almost no effort, this is running or not. The other one takes quite a bit of effort to move it if its off and the motors are locked when it on . They run the same firmware so I imagine someone has made a adjustment in the set-up of the one that moves freely when on . Sadly it doesn't have a anti-tilt built in. Abl will adjust for it , but only on the position of the main extruder, which can be a nightmare when doing copy or mirrored prints using both extruders at once. I'm hopeful I'll get a K2 if it's as good or better than my K1 Max ill love it. Have you used a straight edge and checked the overall flatness of the bed?
That is scarey that u have to use the creality cloud to print. This is the reason why i wont buy a bamboo as the are seeing everything u print - very very bad. So i guess this is another printer i will not purchase
That's not true at all, for Creality OR Bambu. However, both work fine. Bambu's cloud system is especially fantastic. It's the main reason I use mine so much. I've printed 1000's of models on both cloud services. Nobody cares what your printing. I've been working off cloud drives, for ages now. All my work is on a giant ONE drive, with backups on Google Drive. I really wouldn't stress over cloud printing
Where is the heater for the chamber? Why creality always do this? I ve seen another review and there was a heater for the chamber, now I don't know if the printer in fact has heater for the chamber or not... New printer same old problems...
If you look at the printer screen in the video, you will see 3 positions with temperature: nozzle, table, chamber. th-cam.com/video/aAswWOFtR3M/w-d-xo.html
No disappointment here. I've been 3D Printing my arse off since the E3 Pro. I own 13 different models of Creality FDM printer, (maybe more!?) and done great things with all of them.
I have never had a Creality printer Die. I am at 40+. All of them run fine. Even my Ancient E3 PRO's and V2's. So easy to maintain and repair. What are you peeps doing to your printers.
Very informative vid, the more i learn from you the easier it will be for me to get it all running when i eventually get mine, keep up the really clear and informative vids, oh i will try not to be alarmed when it starts making strange noises 😮😊

I appreciate how super-clear your videos have been. I've got a ship date from Creality deep into November.
Thanks so much. I work really hard on them. Comments like this mean allot. November will be here soon!
Could you please test how well the on-board filtration works by printing some ABS and seeing if/how much it smells?
Thanks

I suppose, but you really should. The Cloud tech is game changing
@@3DRundown I sincerely doubt that, I just want to print over the network without connecting to any cloud.
Blink twice if Creality is holding your family hostage
Creality would get lost on the way to find my Family
😂
Does it have the “benchie hull line”?
Benchy is a lame test, but mine are clean.

Unlikely, as most of my viewers will be using it stock. But, I'll see what I can do
I like your idea he is great at explaining in detail what is needed with some humor to keep it fun 👍👍👍!
@@3DRundown New SUB enjoy your video Thumbs up Thanks 👍👍👍!
Do we have to use creality filament? Can we manually add colors? Or do we need an RFID to use filament?
Absolutely not. Use whatever filament you like.

Same as all the Creality O/S machines. Press RETRACT. But no worries, we'll be going over all that again this week. 👍🏼

I haven't. I don't like going down that rabbit hole! I'm sure others have... 😂
You killed me when you said with the lid open and it’s 12’ tall haha
11.5 Feet, but who's counting. 😂😂
That's for Creality, who debated me, over side mounting, for my video.
So Creality took over the one bad thing of Bambu: forcing a link to a cloud account ? Why?
Bambu's wireless setup is epic and works flawless. It's the best part of Bambu. Creality had this before Bambu.... and it works well also
machines made by Creality have a lot of problems. I see that the K2 Plus is no better than the Bambulab
They do not. Users that don't educate properly, practice the craft, or get their information from internet Trolls, have allot of problems.
