Excellent review! I am debating between this newer model and the Remarkable Paper Pro. I definitely prefer the colors and stylus of the Remarkable, but i haven't figured out if I want to lose all the abilities that I would get with the Boox.
Very nice reciew. Good comic with lots of different colors ans comparison to lcd, to show what is reasonable and what not. Also nice to see latency on an app that is not e-ink enhanced. This really helps to make a decision to buy it.
Thanks for this review. I used to think those types of devices would be a good digital sketchbook but I have since changed my mind. The Kindle Scribe has a better refresh rate but it's not in color and doesn't have access to proper drawing apps.
Still waiting for a dream 14-15 inch e-ink device that will work with clip studio to draw comics on since I always get eye twitches after working on the cintiq’ s lcd. Hopefully in the near future. Thanks for the review.
Hopefully there's a breakthrough in e-ink but it feels like the tech has stagnated. My 2023 Boox Page is an improvement over my 2017 Amazon Kindle but it's not that big of a change as compared to how much computers/tablets have improved.
I wonder how this would perform using it for music notation? The idea of an e-ink display with a pen and either drawing directly to a staff or using notation software really interests me.
Thank you for the review. It seems a good compromise between a pure writing device like a Remarkable and an color ebook reader. I have a smaller black and white reader now, but to be able to read a magazine in larger format and in (muted) colors..
Thank you for showing the performance of the different apps. You're the only person I've seen who's taken the time to do so. How is the note syncing? Can you access them on your computer /phone well enough?
I could definitely see the color filter moiré pattern in your video. At least close up it looks less crisp and grainier than than a pure b/w. I am conflicted purchasing a NA4C or wait for NA4 B/W.
@@teohontech7141 I was talking about NA4C 300dpi black text with no colors used at 4:00 mark of video. The moiré pattern can be seen in the background. Also cuts in a little with text sharpness too. Looks a bit more jagged than a Boox GO 10.3 text.
Actually, seems that the comic's colors were designed to look well on the e-ink devices. At least it looks more elegant to me... But that could be unintentional, as that seems to be something related to Goku (sorry, I don't consume anime at all), which if I remember well, used all those overly saturated oranges. As if I didn't knew, I'd tell you the tones in the e-ink seem to me way more elegant and harmonized, lol. I mean, it seems one could make comics and art targeted to e-ink devices by sticking to certain pallete. It could be hard to calculate what would appear in the e-ink device, though. Or maybe knowing certain colors which might translate exactly "as is", if are within range. Though I am afraid that the system de-saturates everything, so you'd probably have to a) do it directly in the target e-ink device or b) play a guessing game in your PC.
The note air always comes with a stylus pen. It's the Pro pen with an eraser on the back that you pay extra for.
No wonder I felt strange that a Note product has a pen sold separately 😂
I really enjoyed this review. Very in depth and helpful
I'm so looking forward to next gen colour e-ink
best review video for Note Air4 C 👍

Boox seems like a good deal with the android operating system, you can do a lot more with it.

Supernote has the best drawing experience for B&W

If you put the pen upside down, so the pen can be magnetic attached at the center on the side of tablet.

You can access your notes from push.boox.com
What is the size limit for the SD card ? Great review with real world demostration of the display options.
I’m not sure if there is a limit
Thanks for this review.
congratulations for your videos. can you make a video of how to draw with this device like the one you made with the note air 3? thanks😊

Yeah, because the colour DPI isn't as high as the BW DPI

Could u make a review on the 13.3 inch version, if possible? Thanks for this video 🙌❤
That will depend on whether I can get a review unit
@teohontech7141 of course, I was only asking, and thanks for the reply!
Doesn't the UI have a dark theme version like Kindle, right?
Boox seems to make the same device over and over with very slight changes.
yeah, just like apple 😂
Ever look at the last 5 years worth of iPads?
@@divinghere3380That’s what I want to say too 😂
The Pen is included at the price.
Exactly, normal pen is included in the price. The add on is for the premium pen.
The lack of yellows on the Boox is concerning.
would you say the writing and drawing quality and feel is better than on s9 with the matte notebook cover?
Both writing experience are good

Yeah the more muted colours are more tasteful for sure and about how I'd expect them to look. I'd not trust it for painting accurately though.
1:26 are you filming while someone is vacuuming 😅 the background noise is insane. Had to click off
