    Most night and day difference between the Theos and Razor Gen 3 is the ridiculously huge "holy crap" wider FOV on the Razor followed by the weight difference and more total elevation travel and the no questions asked VIP free replacement lifetime warranty even if you use the Vortex as a hammer.

      I ordered it since you prefer the Theos over the Razor Gen 3.

    Has the Element Theos been already DISCONTINUED? Optics Planet website says the Element Theos has been discontinued by the manufacture.

    Since you are presenting the Element Scopes, curious if you will be reviewing their Immerse Series Prism scopes from Element Optics that have a parallax adjustment feature.

      I have not had any interest in those scopes yet.

      Looking through both side by side, the Razor Gen 3 has a really huge FOV compared to the Theos and Zeiss LRP S3 and Razor 3 has better glass but everyone's eyes are different.
      Glass ranking based on my own eyes #1 Razor 3, #2 Theos, #3 Zeiss S3.
      I would recommend buying the Theos if you want the lightest of them all and the Razor 3 for image quality and huge eyebox with an incredibly wide FOV if weight isn't an issue. The new black Razor Gen 3's are selling for cheaper than the Theos though I did see them on sale for around $1900 at DVOR several months ago.

      Sold my Recons.. Too dark on high power and not useable. Theos ALLLLLL DAY and twice on Sunday. It actually feels like a top tier scope unlike the recon gen 2...

    I have a Bushnell Engage on my 20 Tactical that has the tool less zero reset, and it is a great feature. I've often wondered why more companies didn't use it.

    I am curious as to your thoughts on how the Kauger feels compared to the Impact 737R.

    • @pantherhollow5290
      @pantherhollow5290  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Kauger has a lighter bolt lift after it has been fired. Not quite as smooth as the 737 but its close

    How does the Hawke Frontier 34 compare to the Theos?

      @@pantherhollow5290 Must say, I had the pleasure of looking through the Theos at a recent shoot. Also had a Fronteir 34 there. Myself and a few other shooters looked through both. All of us came to the same conclusion. The glass on the Hawke is just as good as on the Theos, at a third of the price.

    • @pantherhollow5290
      @pantherhollow5290  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pelletpusherakapelletpimp811 Well that is good to hear.. But the build quality and the materials used would say otherwise. Hawk is made in China and the Theos is made in Japan. That being said you would not truly know the differences unless you have owned both and used them for a time. I have run the Razor Gen2 for years and the Hawk is not even close to that kind of build quality! I have the Razor Gen3 and the Theos. Those 2 are VERY close in several ways. The Hawk is NOT!!! sorry you may have liked it that day, but I assure you there is a reason why you pay more for something!! My Hawk would not hold a true zero and the turret were mushy, the glass is good for that price range, but it is not as good as the above scopes. Not even the Gen2. If you like the scope GREAT>>> Run, it have fun with it and grow with it!! It was NOT for me and my uses. Thank you and have a good 4th of July!!

    • @pelletpusherakapelletpimp811
      @pelletpusherakapelletpimp811 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks you. Your initial review of the Hawke made no mention of the issues you now raise🤔.
      If I pay twice or 3 times the price of the Hawke I would expect the more expensive scope to be a lot better. Glass on the Theos is certainly no better than the Hawke. Turrets on the Hawke felt good with very slight play, and owner was happy with how it holds zero. Turrets on the Theos had zero play, but I dont think it justifies the price., especially as the glass is no better.

      @@pelletpusherakapelletpimp811 How much time did you spend with that scope?
      I spent 3 months with the one I had under hard use conditions. I used it in 3 matches and moved to a V-Tac rifle. I then gave it to another shooter to run as he was waiting on his new scope. The Hawk is GOOD for the price, but it IS NOT AS GOOD ASTHE THEOS.. to make claim like this you need to spend MORE than a day with a product...
      Sorry man I know better, I have owned them both and I have spent ALOT of time with both!! how did bullet trace look in the Hawk?
      I could NEVER catch trace with mine!!
      My Theos has no problem picking up trace!! I could go on and on.. Like I said the build sheets tell the whole story?? I like the Hawk but it is not a Razor or a Theos!!

      @@pantherhollow5290 So far only have the one comp and some dryfirings with the scope but its pretty nice. I've ran the m7xi for 3.5 years and the m5xi for 4. Id say image quality is pretty close, but I noticed that the theos handles ca way better versus the m5xi. The m7xi is a tad better optically versus the m5, so Id say the are pretty close.
      I think the msr 2 reticle is one of the best all purpose reticles, but as far as xmas tree style reticles I enjoy the apr2d a lot. Normally I dont need it and am still abit worried it will hinder me seeing misses, but If we get more no dial stages and wind, thats when the msr2 really shows weakness in prs style comps without any numbers etc. I really dont care too much about click feel as long as they are accurate and repeatable, but even though the theos clicks are a tad mushier vs steiners, for comps the 12mrad per turn is better than the m series 15 per turn. Also the dial is a bit bigger on the theos. For quick dialing the m7 clicks are too near, so you really need to double check you dialed the correct amount. The toolles rezero on the theos is one of the key features for me. Especially since I have a switch barrel rifle and also am considering using the same scope with my 22 lr. Even though if you dont hop scopes around and only zero 1 time, the toolles mechanism is a quol update versus grub screws.
      There is still two things I "worry" about. The theos image quality in very poor lighting conditions, since steiner m series really shines when light is poor. The other one is durability. The m series has proven its self as a super durable and reliable scope, and with Finlands prices (about 2850€ for m7xi versus 2790€ theos) its a really reasonably priced military grade optic. And is the reason why its super popular here on prs and precision rifles. All in all its tough to say if the switch was "worth it" but time will tell. It was mostly driven by the theos having more prs friendly features and going to sell my m5xi that has been on my 22lr for a more economical titan with the apr2d reticle.
      One gripe I have with the theos is that the parallax numbers with my diopter setting dont line up. With my m7xi and m5xi they line up pretty much dead on. It makes the steiner feel like a more refined optic, all though understanding how parallax works you shouldnt even look at numbers in the first place. The second gripe was no markings on the diopter setting. With all scopes I know that from 0 I need to go lets say about 10 minutes minus for the diopter to be set and this led to me thinking my diopter was spot on with the theos when I set it against the sky, but at the first stage on the comp I saw that I needed a bit more minus since the reticle was slightly blurry when there were targets etc in the scope. Luckily cleaned the stage and adjusted the diopter abit, but only after I got back from the comp (finished 3rd) at home I really dialed in the diopter better and saw I needed even more minus. And one other thing is that all though I appreciate the addition of the sun shade which I always use and the apperature ring which I used a lot at the comp, no flip up caps are a minus as a whole. Since I always use caps and never the neoprene cover. Need to get a set of tenebraex, but paying and extra 129€ for them doesnt feel fun. Wish they made the neoprene cover long enough to fit with the sun shade on.
