I sympathize with both Luna and Cadance. Cadance lost her husband, mother-in-law, and father-in-law and Luna inadvertently caused their deaths; and on top of it, she finally learned what really happened to her sister-in-law and Luna refused to at least try to wake her up. Luna lost her sister and a mass genocide was happening in her kingdom; ya can't REALLY blame her for going off the edge. And now she's feeling this intense guilt over everything she'd done.
True but I think they messed up in 41:50 Yeah Cadance's family died and everything because of luna's anger but Cadance literally went off at Luna because she said "I wish that too" and "I know." Ngl I laughed at that scene because it was kinda goofy.

God, I feel bad for Spike, so much. Cadence is grieving and means well, but she keeps saying all the wrong things to him, the poor boy is already hanging by a thread. Twilight also is like a sister to him, and he is grieving too, but he was suppressing his own grief for Cadence's sake.

I'm I the only one that felt like Cadence was done dirty? She's the princess of love, and I feel like she, out of all, would have been the most understanding. Like, I think it's an interesting take, and yah grief does some shi- to people I know first hand, BUT. The way she was depicted feels more fancon than Cadence, ya know. Cadence loved Twilight and loved her adopted aunts (Luna and Celestia), I feel like the survivors guilt would absolutely be there, but I feel like she would have stepped up to take care of spike and the main five in Twilight's absences and reluctantly have gone to the Golden Oaks library to take are of it until something was done with it. The more selfish Cadence kinda broke the emersion. Like I feel, she would have been Luna's biggest support in this time of losing the only people they had now that it's just the two of them figuring out what to do with Equestria. I feel like Cadence was robbed.
Honestly, considering Canon Luna talks so much about psychology stuff related to dream walking- there's a high possibility that if Luna enters Twilight's head she might just make the problem *worse.*

i can't tell what would be more depressing: twi learning luna singlehoofedly orphaned her, or luna learning that her hypnotizing of twilight is exactly what killed celesatia. she murdered dozens of innocent ponies in her blind rage to avenge her sister, when her own death is the one thing that could avenge celestia. i'm worried luna's gonna follow in twilight's hoofsteps back with pinkie when she learns all these accidental mareslaughters were for completely nothing. tragic is almost an understatement to describe this series. i can't decide if i should be full of excitement or dread waiting for this premiere.

While I do believe Luna knows she's guilty, I don't think she would ever try to attempt her own life as Twilight did. She's immortal, after all, and even though Equestria isn't in the best condition after her sister's death, it still desperately needs her. Especially since, if I'm not mistaken, it appears that Raven Inkwell may go to the Crystal Empire to help Cadence rather than assist Luna with her duties in Canterlot. Luna will likely chalk it up as a punishment for herself, and force herself to live with that burden for the rest of eternity. She definitely seems the kind to do so

This is a massive step up from the first Friendship is Tragic!! I absolutely loved derpys part! A strong brave and smart young woman who took all the risks and wants to defend her Homeland and not just for others but for her daughter, you did her justice ♥️

It's all too easy to feel sorry for Luna and Cadance; both have gone through too much. With Sombra returning, it's only going to get worse. Great work as always, Scribbler and co.
Firstly, I just want to say that you Scribbler and your brilliant team are doing a marvelous job with FIT 2 so far. This new episode is clearly my Christmas gift, and it’s the best one I’ve ever wished for! As I said before, we have patience and faithfulness in you, and it brought all of us to this day!! And Secondly, Luna and Cadence are the co-stars of this series {a tale of two princesses}. So, after keeping track of these two from the previous arc after they lost everything and everypony they ever cherished, this episode has us all in the heights how Cadence and Luna are going to handle each other and deal with their devastated consequences in the end; could lead to a feud or a disconnected relationship. Plus, besides myself feeling sorry for Spike, I’ll feel so bad for him once this episode might lead him to going in a deep sleep coma as that was mentioned from the first FIT. 😢 Anyway, sorry for talking so much. I’m just excited for this episode! Keep up the great, successful, magnificent, and over-the-top magical work. Happy Holidays Scribbler!!! ❤

This series has been absolutely phenomenal. I haven't been this emotionally invested in a series for a while. This has got to be the greatest & darkest MLP Grimdark stories I've ever seen. Absolutely phenomenal work to everyone working on this. ❤️

Only Flurry wasn’t born until season six. A long ways off from the canon timeline in this story. The length just doesn’t bode well even if perhaps a mare’s pregnancy is longer than ours r even a premature birth. Heck if that happens it could be worse considering the gutted state of Equestria’s economy and likely the flood of mutilated patients across the kingdom Cadence could even face the death or crippling of her filly.

I wasn't expecting to like Raven at the beginning of this series but she's such a good character, genuinely caring about the princesses even if they have made terrible mistakes or don't want her support. The cemetery scene is so sad yet comforting for her.
Aw. Seeing Derpy signing up for the Royal Guard was both sweet and sad... and blood boiling when she mentioned her previous boss fired her. Poor Luna. Her desire to protect Celestia having spiralled so much out of control... and her not able to tell anyone. Sombra's returning is incredibly worrying with things in the state there are. Also, I know I keep talking about it, but Chippa seriously keeps nailing it as Luna. The sadness you hear as Luna weeps, apologising over and over,it really pulls you in and makes it hard to be angry at Luna for her selfish actions being the cause of things getting so bed, even when her intentions were the opposite. Also... why is Cadence a unicorn filly at the end of the intro when she was originally a Pegasus? Or is that her travelling to the north and her wings just being under her clothing. Oh, and screw Blueblood's family
to be honest I was not expecting to see another episode so soon. I thought I would have to wait till next October for the second arc. This was a pleasant surprise. once again I have been brought to tears and yet I still wish to know what happens next every time. you should be very proud of this series. It is a true work of art. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Each of these episodes just hurts me in a special way. Every. Time. And I mad respect that. The voice acting itself in places just feels too real. Luna screaming over Celestias death will forever haunt me.

She's going to blame Luna and the conflict will be about that. I am interested in seeing if the Mane Six are going to be in the series in any way. Maybe we'll see their reaction to the news. But I am interested in why Spike is being allowed but none of Twilight's friends (perhaps because he's more so family to her than anyone else left even though the Mane Six are perhaps the closest sisters anywhere).

I have a theory how this episode might play out. 1. after finding twilight in the hospital with no horn. Luna is filled with so much guilt that she decides to tell cadence everything after she finishes her story cadence is filled with so much hate disgust and anger that she either tells Luna that she never wants to see her again or wishes that Luna stayed on the moon or she was the one that died instead of Celestia and runs out of the hospital room. after twilight commit suicide, Luna decides to step down from the throne, hand over equestria to the crystal empire and commit suicide, leaving cadence with a nation that will take decades to repair. While battling crippling depression. 2.(redemption) after twilight commit suicide Luna decides to travel back in time and tries to prevent her sister from getting murdered either by sacrificing herself, or helping her in battle. Preventing every horrible thing that happened.
I think this part of FIT2 is going to be a telling of the events that transpired during FIT1. The first section of FIT2 was the prequel part. I think your second theory is good though considering this series is a prequel, telling of the events during friendship is tragic, then the sequel

Spike’s wails and sobbing just broke me. Poor boy Edit: how luna can even look at twilight after what she’s done is beyond me. Her meddling caused the lives of millions of ponies, including twilight’s parents and her brother, and she almost killed her when she hypnotised her.

overall probs the roughest story I've listened to, and very well done. I actually had to wait a while til mental space was better before I could touch part 2 heh.. esp with how part 1 ended. phenomenal acting and creating from everyone.

There are my three theories this may be happening in the future: 1. Luna will tell Cadence the truth that she is the one who told Twilight to protect her sister, only get cost losing her horn like Tempest Shadow. Cadence will be mad at Luna and hate her for ruining Twilight's life. 2. If Luna used the time spell, she will tell Celestia the truth about what is going to happen if she goes to Diomedes and meet her death or kills the Diomedes so Celestia will not die and Twilight will not losing her horn and not losing her friends behind her sister's back if only to protect her at all costs. 3. If Twilight commit suicide, Cadence will lash out at Luna for 'killing' the only family member she has and said very horrible things to her that if Luna dies in Celestia's place or stay in the moon that nopony misses her (except Celestia, who cares and loves her sister) and wishes that Luna is dead. That's my three theories that could happen but Scribbler will reveal the stories of what happen in Second Arc. I'm dying to see what will happen in the Ep05 between Cadence and Luna along with Spike.
If Cadence ever learned what Luna did to Twilight... Well honestly she would probably take over the kingdom by force. And at least the ending shows Luna realizes just how badly she messed up.
@@Cosmic_Ocean_ When I made this comment a year ago, I was moreso just saying Cadence is so done with Luna that if she learned that Twilight was injured and put in a coma because of Luna's magic, she would probably snap and do something drastic. But I'll play a logic game too. So in the canon it's basically revealed Celestia didn't really try to fight Nightmare Moon, probably because two alicorns duking it out would be more disastrous to the land. So Celestia called on the Elements, which have always handled foes in a nonlethal, yet powerful way. We don't ACTUALLY know if Celestia is weaker than Nightmare Moon. Luna technically has more experience ruling than Cadence, but her experience is clearly more centered around night court and dealing with issues that revolve around the night. As this series and the actual show prove: Luna is not well equipped to rule during the day. In the show she can barely keep up with Celestia's schedule, and in this series there are slavers in Equestrian borders and loansharks upping their punishments on ponies who don't pay. So honestly I put her and Cadence on equal footing when it comes to ruling. The Elements aren't even a factor. The only argument that can be made is that Luna is a natural born alicorn so yes, she might have more power than Cadence when it comes to actually fighting, but we've never actually seen Cadence go all out in an attack.

Was it heartwarming to see Spike and Princess_Cadence looking out for each other since they're both grieving the loss of Twilight Sparkle and her family along with the fact that none of her friends were there to help them since they were going through their own losses which messed them up? Wish we could have seen more of those two in the MLP FIM show. What made Princess_Cadence to live in Twilight's tree house with Spike as her roommate?

We don't know if that'll ever happen. In FiT1, we don't see or hear Cadence once. Safe to assume that she chose to never forgive Luna, but only Scribbler knows the outcome.

I personally disagree. Trauma effects no one well, and it’s only been a couple months? I don’t know exactly. Luna definitely wasn’t in her right mind, but she still unintentionally killed Shining and Twilight’s parents. I also feel bad for Luna. Now she’s all alone😢
The saddest part is that I’m certain these series of events would’ve happened anyway (even Twi’s horn breaking) because Twilight would’ve hands down gave her life for Celestia anyway, she thought the World of her without Luna’s persuasion. Luna’s just cursed to be the scapegoat (because let’s be honest the ponies who started this were the Diomedes and Tireck) since she meddled were she didn’t need to, the cards were going to fall inevitably.
We'll never know. I can see Twilight wanting to stay to help Celestia, but she might have been more open to listening to Celestia and moving away to a point where Celestia wasn't distracted fighting Twilight's will to stay. Either way, Luna did mess up with her good intentions for her sister

I felt Lunas Emotion's when she was next to Twilight 💔💔💔💔. She truly regrets her actions & seeks redemption but most of all forgiveness not to mention loosing her older sister in horrible way I feel bad her Spike & Raven 😭😭😭😭😭😭. But Cadence well not so much I understand why she feels this way but she needs to grow up & face what happened & move on with her life enough said. i can't tell what would be more depressing: twi learning luna singlehoofedly orphaned her, or luna learning that her hypnotizing of twilight is exactly what killed celesatia. she murdered dozens of innocent ponies in her blind rage to avenge her sister, when her own death is the one thing that could avenge celestia. i'm worried luna's gonna follow in twilight's hoofsteps back with pinkie when she learns all these accidental mareslaughters were for completely nothing. tragic is almost an understatement to describe this series. i can't decide if i should be full of excitement or dread waiting for this premiere.

While I do believe Luna knows she's guilty, I don't think she would ever try to attempt her own life as Twilight did. She's immortal, after all, and even though Equestria isn't in the best condition after her sister's death, it still desperately needs her. Especially since, if I'm not mistaken, it appears that Raven Inkwell may go to the Crystal Empire to help Cadence rather than assist Luna with her duties in Canterlot.
Luna will likely chalk it up as a punishment for herself, and force herself to live with that burden for the rest of eternity. She definitely seems the kind to do so

Firstly, I just want to say that you Scribbler and your brilliant team are doing a marvelous job with FIT 2 so far. This new episode is clearly my Christmas gift, and it’s the best one I’ve ever wished for! As I said before, we have patience and faithfulness in you, and it brought all of us to this day!! And Secondly, Luna and Cadence are the co-stars of this series {a tale of two princesses}. So, after keeping track of these two from the previous arc after they lost everything and everypony they ever cherished, this episode has us all in the heights how Cadence and Luna are going to handle each other and deal with their devastated consequences in the end; could lead to a feud or a disconnected relationship. Plus, besides myself feeling sorry for Spike, I’ll feel so bad for him once this episode might lead him to going in a deep sleep coma as that was mentioned from the first FIT. 😢 Anyway, sorry for talking so much. I’m just excited for this episode! Keep up the great, successful, magnificent, and over-the-top magical work. Happy Holidays Scribbler!!! ❤

The road to recovery and the road to forgiveness are never easy to walk. Cadence may take much longer to forgive Luna than she thought. Luna may take even longer to forgive herself. Either way, the journey is still far from over.

Only Flurry wasn’t born until season six. A long ways off from the canon timeline in this story. The length just doesn’t bode well even if perhaps a mare’s pregnancy is longer than ours r even a premature birth. Heck if that happens it could be worse considering the gutted state of Equestria’s economy and likely the flood of mutilated patients across the kingdom Cadence could even face the death or crippling of her filly.

I wasn't expecting to like Raven at the beginning of this series but she's such a good character, genuinely caring about the princesses even if they have made terrible mistakes or don't want her support. The cemetery scene is so sad yet comforting for her.
Aw. Seeing Derpy signing up for the Royal Guard was both sweet and sad... and blood boiling when she mentioned her previous boss fired her.
Poor Luna. Her desire to protect Celestia having spiralled so much out of control... and her not able to tell anyone.
Sombra's returning is incredibly worrying with things in the state there are.
Also, I know I keep talking about it, but Chippa seriously keeps nailing it as Luna.
The sadness you hear as Luna weeps, apologising over and over,it really pulls you in and makes it hard to be angry at Luna for her selfish actions being the cause of things getting so bed, even when her intentions were the opposite.
Also... why is Cadence a unicorn filly at the end of the intro when she was originally a Pegasus?
Or is that her travelling to the north and her wings just being under her clothing.

to be honest I was not expecting to see another episode so soon. I thought I would have to wait till next October for the second arc. This was a pleasant surprise. once again I have been brought to tears and yet I still wish to know what happens next every time. you should be very proud of this series. It is a true work of art. Can't wait to see what you do next.

I have a theory how this episode might play out.
1. after finding twilight in the hospital with no horn. Luna is filled with so much guilt that she decides to tell cadence everything after she finishes her story cadence is filled with so much hate disgust and anger that she either tells Luna that she never wants to see her again or wishes that Luna stayed on the moon or she was the one that died instead of Celestia and runs out of the hospital room. after twilight commit suicide, Luna decides to step down from the throne, hand over equestria to the crystal empire and commit suicide, leaving cadence with a nation that will take decades to repair. While battling crippling depression.
2.(redemption) after twilight commit suicide Luna decides to travel back in time and tries to prevent her sister from getting murdered either by sacrificing herself, or helping her in battle. Preventing every horrible thing that happened.
i think it would be better if in theory 1, luna chose to exile herself to the moon again instead
I think this part of FIT2 is going to be a telling of the events that transpired during FIT1. The first section of FIT2 was the prequel part. I think your second theory is good though considering this series is a prequel, telling of the events during friendship is tragic, then the sequel

I may have barely missed the presentation, but I sure as hell am not disappointed at all, I am happy to see how another story was made of this.

There are my three theories this may be happening in the future:
1. Luna will tell Cadence the truth that she is the one who told Twilight to protect her sister, only get cost losing her horn like Tempest Shadow. Cadence will be mad at Luna and hate her for ruining Twilight's life.
2. If Luna used the time spell, she will tell Celestia the truth about what is going to happen if she goes to Diomedes and meet her death or kills the Diomedes so Celestia will not die and Twilight will not losing her horn and not losing her friends behind her sister's back if only to protect her at all costs.
3. If Twilight commit suicide, Cadence will lash out at Luna for 'killing' the only family member she has and said very horrible things to her that if Luna dies in Celestia's place or stay in the moon that nopony misses her (except Celestia, who cares and loves her sister) and wishes that Luna is dead.
That's my three theories that could happen but Scribbler will reveal the stories of what happen in Second Arc. I'm dying to see what will happen in the Ep05 between Cadence and Luna along with Spike.

@@Cosmic_Ocean_ When I made this comment a year ago, I was moreso just saying Cadence is so done with Luna that if she learned that Twilight was injured and put in a coma because of Luna's magic, she would probably snap and do something drastic. But I'll play a logic game too.
So in the canon it's basically revealed Celestia didn't really try to fight Nightmare Moon, probably because two alicorns duking it out would be more disastrous to the land. So Celestia called on the Elements, which have always handled foes in a nonlethal, yet powerful way. We don't ACTUALLY know if Celestia is weaker than Nightmare Moon.
Luna technically has more experience ruling than Cadence, but her experience is clearly more centered around night court and dealing with issues that revolve around the night. As this series and the actual show prove: Luna is not well equipped to rule during the day. In the show she can barely keep up with Celestia's schedule, and in this series there are slavers in Equestrian borders and loansharks upping their punishments on ponies who don't pay. So honestly I put her and Cadence on equal footing when it comes to ruling.
The Elements aren't even a factor.
The only argument that can be made is that Luna is a natural born alicorn so yes, she might have more power than Cadence when it comes to actually fighting, but we've never actually seen Cadence go all out in an attack.

Was it heartwarming to see Spike and Princess_Cadence looking out for each other since they're both grieving the loss of Twilight Sparkle and her family along with the fact that none of her friends were there to help them since they were going through their own losses which messed them up? Wish we could have seen more of those two in the MLP FIM show. What made Princess_Cadence to live in Twilight's tree house with Spike as her roommate?
Cadence was heartbroken over Shining Armour's death so she hid away in Ponyville.
If you look carefully, the windows of the library have been boarded up and no-one except Spike knows she's there.

We don't know if that'll ever happen. In FiT1, we don't see or hear Cadence once. Safe to assume that she chose to never forgive Luna, but only Scribbler knows the outcome.

The saddest part is that I’m certain these series of events would’ve happened anyway (even Twi’s horn breaking) because Twilight would’ve hands down gave her life for Celestia anyway, she thought the World of her without Luna’s persuasion. Luna’s just cursed to be the scapegoat (because let’s be honest the ponies who started this were the Diomedes and Tireck) since she meddled were she didn’t need to, the cards were going to fall inevitably.
We'll never know. I can see Twilight wanting to stay to help Celestia, but she might have been more open to listening to Celestia and moving away to a point where Celestia wasn't distracted fighting Twilight's will to stay.
Either way, Luna did mess up with her good intentions for her sister

I felt Lunas Emotion's when she was next to Twilight 💔💔💔💔. She truly regrets her actions & seeks redemption but most of all forgiveness not to mention loosing her older sister in horrible way I feel bad her Spike & Raven 😭😭😭😭😭😭. But Cadence well not so much I understand why she feels this way but she needs to grow up & face what happened & move on with her life enough said.
