I used to have a V-twin. Ran it into my Music Man HD150 with a fender 2X12 Cab I loaded MESA Black Shadows into. It was STRONG!
Always wished the little black switch in the middle was a foot switchable too.

I love mine. I bought it over 20 years ago from a kid who was spoiled and used it for a week and decided he didn’t like it. He sold it to be in the box for $100 mint. The thing was $300 in at late 90s. I had my eye on buying one for months before that. I wouldn’t sell it today if someone offered $300+ for it.
And it easily sells for $300

this dude cracks me up. reminds me of the guys i work with here in nyc. i'm going to get this pedal eventually, though i wish it was more true mesa flavor and highergain... which means i'll have to give it the old high hard one with some super high gain boost of sorts

@JBL8863 That was well put! But....... I took 30 seconds and Googled "Soldano circuit board "..... behold I found a picture of a Soldano SLO100 which has a PCB board and therefor not "ALL" Soldano's are point to point wiring......
I think we can agree on the Tone Kings "misleading" reviews though. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I own two Mesa V twin pedals and will never part with them. I think Boogie discontinued them because you stick one of these bad boys in front of any decent clean amp, it is just as good or better than a Boogie amplifier. They are built incredibly good, My main one has been played for 20 years of steady professional gigging and has never had a problem. In case or a terrorist attack , it can be used as a weapon ! You do not want to drop one of these on your foot, it will hurt you ! I saw Robert Plant's band "Strange Sensation a few years ago. Both the guitarist were using them.

tk i dont think you did this pedal justice, i think you can make a really sweet metal tone with this pedal and maybe with some of your other amps like the mesa or 800 or even the ENGL, and a guitar with emgs or like the seymor humbuckers you know?
You asked the question, it was a serious answer; the tubes don't look, and aren't any larger than any other 12AX7. Don't have a cow about it. You can turn your caps lock off now; perhaps everything looks a bit bigger in your world?
I notice you're warming up while making the video, which is surprising, cuz it usually takes me much longer than a minute to break the chains and come up with anything decent lololol
@kesx playing doesnt matter that much. he just makes everything sound like a fuzz pedal which is futile in showing what a pedal can do

I wanted to say why I think they quit making these. You could plug them in to a Fender tube amp and it would sound like a Mesa Boogie because of the added preamp. The original made for Santana was a princeton reverb modified. Why would you want to put out a pedal that did what your amps did when you want to sell amps.
Ben Sheppard (soundgarden) uses these in his live rig.

for you to say the above tells me a few things, first you have very little music experience, and you don't know a good player when it hits u in the face, go and check out some of this guys jamming gig's, his timing is impeccable, and he does more than 3 chord wonders like some of the people I can mention, your basing he needs to learn how to play guitar on what ?, because he did not bust a few more solo's out, he is more than capable,
im a bit lost here... so DOES THE SOUND COME OUT OF THE PEDAL AS WELL ?

i admit this was a sucky demo, he played mostly chords even on the solo channel, but he does not need to learn how to play, he is a great player, he has a vast amount of music knowledge, he knows his stuff is what I am saying, and whats more he can play with a band, his timing is always perfect, I watched a lot of his vids, and he is a great player, he has some really nice solo's under his fingers, I know and U no that your the 1 who needs to learn, otherwise u would have not made that comment,

there's a lot of controversy in the comments haha. anyway, how would this sound plugged into the effects loop of an amp if i have only intention of using this for clean sounds? i mean if i plugged it into an imaginary effects loop return of a fender twin would this thing have cleans that almost compare to the twins pre amp?

IMO, I don't think the reverb/delay helps this demo. It sounds ok, but distracts from the V-twin.

but if he wad good at getting great tones being caked the tone king and all, would make a great channel. but he makes good great sound like hell. I'm all for what you do guy, just try a bit harder. I'm not hating if you believe tat, just work on the tones...
