Happy New Year! I think I'm going to have to pick up Circe. I don't think there's any better recommendation than when the love someone has for something is as plain as day, like it was for that book in this video.
Circe might be my favourite book of all time. Everyone raved about The Song of Achilles but in my opinion Circe is a far superior character. The most striking part of the whole book for me was that so much of it is just about ‘her’ rather than her relationships. I’m 2 thirds of the way through The Silence of The Girls (Pat Barker), and I’m devouring it and love the book, but honestly. Circe. Absolute magic.

I love how you voiced your opinion on The Power Of Now, it’s hard to be in the present when your mind chases you no matter how hard you try to be in the now. I’m planning on rereading Circe sometime soon, it’s one of my favorites from last year!:) Im currently rereading This Is How You Lose The Time War! The way you explained Alone With You In The Ether has me wanting to read it even more. Thank you for being a comforting presence ❤️

Olivie Blake articulated this narrative in a way that no other book has done for me- the characters think EXACTLY how I think. And Fleur is so spot-on: this is a beautiful and real portrayal of a tumultuous relationship between two complicated people; who both have mental disorders that I have been living with for so long with little representation that actually strikes me to my core. 5 Stars easily ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Also y'all listen to Fleur about Circe it is amazing and beautiful and a feminist masterpiece-but pick up Alone with You in the Ether too!!!!!)
