    The finding and restoration of the XP 82 is a phenomenal outstanding feat by a dedicated Aviation Enthusiast to bring back history that would have otherwise been forgotten in the aviation industry. Congratulations on a job well done you can be proud and so can in the EAA group.

      If someone offered me a use "if you don't know" or a brand new F-16, I'd look longingly at the F-16 while accepting the old Warthog. I fell in love with the first one I saw on the tarmac at the MiraMar Air Show near Sandy Eggo years ago. I'd never even heard of them before and I love the funky look, the practicality of the bird. Then, after hearing them shoot, I knew I'd always love the Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrts, no matter what. /gush

    I cant wait to see a F-14 or F-4 in the Airshow Circuit... I've never seen a Tomcat or Phantom in the Air only as static display. Ive been to Air Zoo in Kalamazoo Michigan and see a Tomcat there it was a Jolly Rodger Squadron paint scheme and Id love to see a Phantom painted in Ace Robin Olds scheme. The P-47 A-10 F-86 and F-14 are my all time favorite War birds. I live a few miles from Oil City Pa the town were Gabby Gabreski grew up. I remember thr first time I heard about Gabby on the Show Wings that used to be on Discovery Channel back in the day. It was so cool to live near a WWII ace that flew two of my favorite War Birds.

    The A-10 has a stability augmentation system (SAS) that is similar to the MCAS used in the 737 Max 8. When the gun fires it tends to pitch the nose up, which will make the shots go high and miss over the target. The SAS senses the initial upward motion and automatically deflects the elevator to hold the nose down. However, I don't think that the SAS has ever flown an A-10 into the ground.

    • @soupfork2105
      @soupfork2105 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joe Vignolo so the best fix for the 737 mx 8 would be to fit them all with a GAU-8 30mm Cannon.

      @joevignolor4u949 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The A-10 shown in the video was given a special paint job to commemorate D-day during WWII. You may notice that it has white wing stripes similar to the invasion stripes that many WWII aircraft had painted on them. There is a TH-cam video somewhere showing an A-10 getting the special paint job. If the airplane had to go in service the special markings would quickly be painted over.

    I get fly overs by A-10's out of Selfridge ANG past my house on the shore of Lake Huron. They have to be the loudest warplane in existence! They literally shake my house when they pass over at 1,000'. Also, my Dad ( RIP, who had a private license and a Cub) drooled over those Waco gull wings!

      The A-10 is quite possibly the quietest jet fighter in existance. Just about every other jet fighter has low bypass turbofans or turbojets and is much louder than an A-10 which has what essentially are early gen regional airliner engines
