- Nathan Boos of Tilden, Wisconsin was adopted at birth and never knew who his biological parents were. "Growing up I always knew that I was adopted, it just never crossed my mind that I would ever find my parents," he says.

This is funny because he became a truck driver just like his biological dad.
Must be the genes.
From what I have observed in my 68 years is that birth kids , siblings as well as parents usually follow the same fate and jobs, etc., regardless if they were adopted or not

My children haven't talked to me in several years. Turns out when their dad died due to chronic illness and they were given 30K (Each one was given that amount...30K) they said it wasn't enough and told me I would never be able to see my grandchildren. I used to purchase Savings Bonds and put money away for each of the grandkids, but I stopped doing it a couple of years ago. Two of the grandkids are old enough to drive and to seek me out on their own...but never have, so apparently, they have decided to believe what they were told about me. Lately, I have been donating money to families that need help at times(strangers)....I have thought of possibly being a Big Sister as well. When you haven't done anything wrong and are lied about and those lies get back to you, it hurts more than I can say.
PLEASE...if you are estranged from your family, remember that life can be really short. Things can be worked out if you try. The best thing is to bury the past and only look to the future.....
@@holiday-td6hx Don't despair, things will eventually work out.
@@holiday-td6hx Do you have any updates? I haven't spoken to my mom and dad for years ... and they could be considered elderly now by some though I don't think of them as that old ... I worry about time ... I'd like to see them again... They forever changed parts of my life for the worse, actually causing a physical disability by attacking me after a surgery... so no small thing... It forever changed my life, probably because of that I never had kids when I would have wanted to. But to be estranged from my parents is not good. And other family members didn't understand and rallied around them so I lost sort of my whole family and family knowledge and history and even some family friends. It's awful. But time goes fast. I'd like to try to figure out how to approach a family that probably has heard lies about me or believes some incorrect things about me and the situation. Some in my family will never believe me I guess. They just don't want to accept my parents would do that. Despite all that, I'd like to see them. Guarded, not to put myself in the vulnerable position I was with them before, but a visit or something. I cannot imagine my mom or dad being alone. I thought of my mom when reading your comment. I'm sorry. I hope your children and you and your grandchildren reconnect.
So glad these two found one another. Sometimes things like this work out in ways you never expect. I hope their relationship continues to be a happy one.

Jane McGrath, I know 3 people (2 women & 1 man) who were adopted and never ever felt the overwhelming need to "FIND" their biological parents and to my knowledge never have looked for them. They love their parents and NEVER EVER refer to them as "adoptive" parents. One of the gals looks so much like her "mom" it is actually amazing.
Sorry your parents have passed on....it sounds like they had an amazing daughter!
@@holiday-td6hx Thank you.I never referred to my parents as "adoptive" only when I'm explaining my circumstances. My parents were and are my parents.I wish you well.
As you should, they chose you.
I pray that they heal and have a wonderful relationship. My half brother of 44 years met his dad for the first time this year. They are both truck drivers. I am filled with joy for him and this young man
My mom was adopted and she never met her biological parents but she did become friends with her biological half sister who was also adopted. I think it's awesome when family finds each other. Even their mannerisms seem similar! People wrongly assume when you put your child up for adoption you don't love them but that's far from the truth in most cases. My mom always says it takes more love to admit you can't provide the amount of care needed to raise a child properly and give them up for adoption than selfishly keeping them
Nothing selfish about taking responsibility.
Never too late. My daughter found her birth father blessed but lived only 1 1/2 years to enjoy each other. Lost her in March 20, 2020. Put everything you have toward your relationship.
So sorry. Amen.
So sorry for your loss.
May i ask what happened to her?
Sorry for your loss😔
Condolences 🙏🏾💐
The son is a big guy. My son has two mothers, me who adopted and raised him, and his biological mom who re-entered his life after finding him on Facebook. He has met her as well as his maternal grandmother. Some questions son had in his mind are now answered. As adults, adoptees can establish whatever relationship they want, or not have one with their mums or dads. As I see it, the decisions are up to them, but they have an extended family and much love coming from that. Hoping children have an open heart to understand that Life holds many mysteries.
I couldn’t imagine not having my children in my life.
It's awesome. No mess, no noise, no stress. No financial commitment. Freedom to do as I please. I'm grateful to not be anyone's dad. I didn't like the other kids when I was a kid and I don't really like them now. I'm happy to not have kids.
