My ear wants that to sit up on top of that note so hard, I have Flat Avoidance, that my brother tuned his koto to my ear and back consistently, to shut me up 🤗. He loves me ❤️. He carved balsa wood bridges regularly to replace the cracked ones my little sister pestering caused. What a treat to have found you Dee.
I was at a music festival this past weekend and saw a young Chinese lady playing one of these instruments. She called it a guzheng, after seeing your video previously it was great to see and hear it in person.
That was such a lovely story of how you learned the koto! I really enjoy learning more about all these unique instruments! Can we hear you play Sakura next time? 🌸
Loving your videos! The box the bridges came in; I ran it through Google lens and the smaller writing says "high-end products" and the larger center writing says "Fuji-shaped koto pillar".
Another very interesting instrument, it's always great to hear the history of them. I'm always amazed at your knowledge of music and how you can set up and tune such a variety of instruments.
@@deedeetibbits Dear, DeeDee, The gayageum is a traditional Korean instrument that falls in the category of a box zither chordophone. It makes the craziest sounds. It could fit right in with a psychedelic folk rock band. Until rather recently, I never heard of a gayageum. On YT, I've found videos by a remarkable talent named Luna Lee playing the instrument. She's a master. DeeDee, you're a master in your own right. You are a remarkably talented musician. It blows my mind that you can play an array of exotic instruments. I just found you on YT and I'm glad I did.
@deedeetibbits I looked and looked. All I seen and heard was how to tune it, a life story and when you want to Japan. I love learning new things from your videos but didn't hear anything played on the KOTO. :(

Just cuz you can tune anything don't mean you can sing. I'm sorry 😔. Lily Munster
