I'm so excited to play our new hurdy-gurdy, Trigo, in this theme! I think it fits so well. ❤ You can check it out on our gurdy store: ancestore.eu/en_US/p/Hurdy-Gurdy-Trigo/136
I thought that the violin was epic, and then this gets recommended to me. Your comment couldn't better describe it (even though I had never heard of a hurdy-gurdy before, I fell in love after 2 notes in this vid!)
The older I get, the more I identify with Theoden. "If this is to be our end, then let us make such an end that it is worthy of a song." "Now for wrath, Now for ruin, and the red dawn!" Bro was the king of the apocalypse.
One cool thing about LOTR is that was the first and only movie I saw with my father on the cinema. He was like "hum, let's see that movie everyone is talking about". He loved it, I miss him so much.
This just popped up in my feed, and I am blown away! As a massive LOTR fan, this was amazing! As a fan of music and different kinds of instruments in general, this was outstanding! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
This is definitely one of the best pieces of the trilogy and I'm so glad that you covered it! It would be great if we got more LoTR tunes in the near future, especially some of the villain pieces.
This vid gave me feels, ngl. Fantastic melody and I love the sound of the gurdy. A somber herald for dark days ahead, perfetcly fitting for Rohan in the story.
I don't think Jaw on Floor is enough to describe the reaction I had to this. This fits the feel of Rohan so well both thematically and in terms of their inspirations in the Vikings and Old English. I hope you do an extended version at some point, but having heard this at all is a wonder. Blessed be!
This is simply awesome! Thank you so much for bringing this patreon community vote to the gurdy in such great way 🤍 As I already said, the riders would be proud!
what I love so much about this instrument is that you can hear the mechanics so prominently always sounds so cool to me this was a beautiful arrangement of riders of rohan too, great work
CHILLS!!!! ABSOLUTE CHILLS!!!!! That was spectacular! Incredible!! I absolutely loved it so much, hurdy gurdy is one of my favourite instruments ever and this is such a beautiful cover, I would love to see more :D
i always enjoy hearing the hurdy-gurdy play with tunes like this.. they are so hauntingly beautiful which moves the soul and makes you feel on the enchanted lands or seas
Where is the horse and the rider Where is the song on the strings? Where is the sun on the green hills? They have passed, like rain on the mountains....
Omg. I am a huge LotR nerd and solo hurdy-gurdy is one of my favorite sounds in music. I instantly subscribed. Then I realized it was the Rohan theme, which is absolutely my favorite music from the movies, and ngl, I nostalgia sobbed for a second. 🎶💖🎶
Simply beautiful music! I just discovered your channel....I had no idea that this instrument (in the right hands) can make so many sounds. Thank you for posting, I subscribed just now. Greetings from Oregon!
Ooh! I am gonna have to share this with my dad when he comes to visit! We love the Lord of the Rings and we went to them in theaters many years ago and we read the books together so this would blow his mind on the new speakers and home theater setup at the home :D
The first six chords or so really make me think of the beginning of Disney's Haunted Mansion theme, when played on a hurdy-gurdy. And I kind of love it. "Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, Theoden King...."
Arise, arise, Riders of Théoden! Fell deeds awake, fire and slaughter! Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered, a sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondor!
Wow that instrument looks beautiful and in the hands of a skillful artist like yours it sounds really really good! I thought that sound track is played by Cellos, but this is the more accurate sound. Thank you for sharing this video.
Théoden King of Rohan - RIP - Rohan - the white horse - Shadowfax - Gimli bows to the lord of all horses - these few seconds from the movie - move me every time - because it is so beautiful. King Théoden of Rohan - is one of the best character for me. Thx wonderfully played - Honor and strength.

Beautiful, sorry about your dad.
I've never new this instrument existed. But hearing this song with it gives me goosebumps. That is one of my fav scenes in the movies.
It's certainly a new and pleasant way to enjoy music we're already familiar with
