32:41 I was so depressed as a middle school kid. I moved away from all my friends to California where I had none. Sonic send like my only friend. That song always gave me hope somehow. I forgot how clean Sonic 2's music was in comparison to the first game, the 3rd game and the Knuckles game. I don't care that Micheal Jackson was responsible for those tracks, the sound clarity just wasn't there in Sonic 3/Knuckles. Sonic 2 by far, has the cleaner sound.

I did an XG MIDI cover of 50:25 (Hidden Palace Zone) on a fairly old computer a long time ago; Puts a serious stream of tears in my eyes just hearing my rendition again. Should layer my rendition on top of the original for curiosity sake? I see massive tears coming, just imaging the epic nuance.
I played this game a ridiculous number of times as a kid. I pretty much discovered every glitch. I especially hated the one where turning into super sonic after the stage clears (before the text appears) would crash your game by having you be stuck there infinitely, you couldn't even wait for a time up or anything since you already beat the level.
What? I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen on PAL at least. OK looks like there were two versions of Sonic 2, and they were both worldwide (ie. region free). It's possible you had the first revision and everybody I know had the second.
Bad news, purists. Some of us really have no choice but to accept emulations because the big bulky hardware and crt televisions of yester-year have been nothing but discondoned and discontinued. For me, the two emulators I've used are Gens and Kega Fusion. Besides, an emulation uses very little resources on a decently modern computer if you set it up right. For someone like me, a game controller is also preferrable; Oh, and as to the homepage of the screen reader I use: HTTP://WWW.NVAccess.Org/ The screen reader I use: NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access). One more thing: I have to use an emulator that a native Windows screen reader can understand out of a zip/7z archive without doing anything that may break the screen reader's understanding of a program I've never even used before. Oh, that reminds me: Emulator Developers? If you're truly planning on writing an emulator to "honor" a console and I need to configure a game pad for it, Absolutely Do Not Ever in any way, shape or form intercept My Screen Reader's Necessary Commands as Game Pad Gestures. Even if it means you put some checking code into your software to 'watch' for a running accessibility aid (like a screen reader) and block its keystrokes from manipulating the emulator window. There's a reason an emulator developer puts "Input key for Up/Down/Left/Right/A/B/C/Start" under the title bar of a controller configuration dialog; For you sighies to map a button but also for me to map a button too!! What happens in most emulators I've used in a controller config dialog is that by the time I've read through the dialog box Line By Line to see what's written where, the controller config dialog disappears and I'm back to the primary Options dialog of an emulater. Not that developers really care that disabled people actually play mainstream games too! As far as I'm concerned, the Genesis "Sonic The Hedgehog" series was my 'Mario'; For me being Totally Congenitally Blind Since Birth, I "watched myself play Sonic" by listening to the music and sounds; So while you all had eye candy, I had ear candy! I always try to keep it really far away when I do these recordings, but sometimes interference from it happens anyway. These old consoles aren't shielded that well. That's exactly what happened to it. I don't have any way to appeal the copyright claim, even though I'm about 90% sure it's wrong. Most of the time I'll get 3rd parties monetizing my videos (I don't really care about that) but sometimes they'll just get removed.

I think that's enough to either make a counter-claim yourself saying that not only is it under fair use but this mob don't own any portion of the music or just re-upload a new fresh video of Sonic 1.

+MrDerOutsider Not just that... some emulators actually replace the PSG square waves with sine waves. You can easily tell if Sonic's jumping sound is way too smooth. On a real genesis some of the higher frequencies are also filtered out, but emulators keep them so some of the instruments that sound distorted but perfectly usable on hardware are terrible in emulators. The guitars of Thunder Force 4 for example.

I prefer running the game in the real console than using emulators, because the songs sound more naturally and the blurry image is nostalgic.
