How do you bring a placeholder's file to the foreground when there's a background image covering it? Am referring specifically to Google Sites' portfolio homepage template. Thank you for any help you can provide.
I have in the past. We moved to STEM Premier briefly, and then we were going to use Naviance. It would be nice to do something district-wide where students can put all of their best work in one place to showcase. It has slowly been squeezed out of my class due to the other classroom activities, but I'd love to incorporate it again.
If you post an image of the Google Doc and then link it to the Doc link, you can erase back to the first / and type the word copy (/copy), it will create a forced copy for anyone who clicks on it. Otherwise, you can post a Google file as "view only" and teach kids how to go to File...Make a copy. Only Google Classroom makes a copy for each student.

Google doesn't let you embed other things with it, which sucks!
Not true. If you can get the embed code, you can embed anything on Google sites.
Correct. Most things embed with just the link anymore too. I've not found anything I can't get to embed though one way or another in new sites!
