I hope Susan Collins writes another book about the 25th Hunger Games, and maybe written from Tigris's POV so we can see her as a stylist, Snow as a Gamemaker and his rise to political power, Snow and Gaul designing the Quarter Quell system, including what the original play for the 3rd Quell was, and have more than a few fleshed out tributes in Games so we have more than one person to root for, like we're seeing it from an audience POV.
i know she's planning on a duology or trilogy for this. a book in tigris' perspective would be great and finish it up with haymitch for the quarter quell.
fun fact, the actors playing lucy gray and sejanus are dating irl :’) also, since you mentioned hoping no one sees them when lucy gray tried to kiss snow at the zoo, in the book they actually had their first kiss in front of snow’s entire class, it happened during the interviews at the tables (when the tributes were chained) after the bombing during the arena visit! they were bold lmao. rlly fun reaction!!
If you guys didnt know they are in fact releasing a new hunger games book next year called Sunrise on the Reaping, following Haymitch during his games. The film will be released in 2026 so still got a while to wait unfortunately but it should be a great story
RE: Tigris, she's still his cousin in the book and the depiction of their relationship was pretty accurate in the movie. We don't know exactly what happened between them between the end of this book and Mockingjay (where she's glad Katniss wants to kill him), but since the book of Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes hints that she sold herself in order to keep their family afloat, there's a theory that maybe she turned on Snow completely after learning that he forced the "desirable" victors to do so. As far as whether Lucy Gray is related to Katniss, there's hints that there might be a connection there: most fans think that it's likely that her cousin Maude Ivory (the blonde who introduced her at the show) is Katniss' grandmother. The cabin at the lake is something only the Covey really knew about - and it's something Katniss' father showed to her - and they also used the word "katniss" to refer to arrowhead plants. Maude Ivory is also mentioned to be able to remember a song after only hearing it once, which is a trait that Katniss described of her father as well. Lucy Gray also only ever performed "The Hanging Tree" once publicly, while that song is one that Katniss learned from her father (and he warned her not to sing it publicly since it was rebellious, iirc).
It is great to see the young Mr. Snow and why he is the way he has become. Did miss Donald Sutherland. Love his acting in anything. Thank you for your reactions to this movie. Always love seeing how ya'll react or think about a show or movie.
Lucy didnt say to him shes the only loose end, he actually just thought it in his head, but he did lie to her after her saying trust is everything to her more important than love.
Lucy Gray just disappears with footprints in the ground. It is as it is in the Wordsworth poem, which is sung in this movie. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucy_Gray Her fate is never revealed. A mystery, as she says. I like to believe she did leave the snake to scare him, but it's confirmed that it's not venemous so she wasn't trying to kill him. Though some agree with you that it was raining and snakes might come out coincidentally. Tigris is Snow's cousin in the books. She didn't go to university so she could take a job to support the family and it's implied that she also sold her body to keep them alive. And he treats her terribly. Sad contrast to Katniss' relationship with Prim.
In the book when he gets back to the base, the doctor says it wasn't venemous and that snakes often come out in the rain (meaning Lucy may not have even been involved with it). Snow feeling weak after the bite was probably just a panic attack from *thinking* it was venemous or just being all agitated from the confrontation with Lucy.
@@Alarraespecially since his father died in 12, his panic must have been at an all time high thinking he was gonna die in the same place his father did
Love this movie. The problem is in order for them to continue this story, Suzanne Collins needs to write a sequel book first. And for now she has no plans. :/
Beware it was Lucy Grey that gave katiness the mockingjay pin freely .Why .& didn't Snow save his rich best friend life twice before he betrayed him🤔who made the Cold vitor for the future to come as we know some parts😂
I’m not sure Tigris’s body modifications were against her will. She was a stylist in the games, and body modification was popular for Capitol citizens in general. She never tells Katniss why she’s glad that Katniss is here to kill Snow and Katniss theorizes it has something to do with her being dropped as a stylist because she took body modification too far and wasn’t “pretty” anymore. She remembers seeing Tigris in the earliest games she can remember, probably around when Finnick won. There is a theory that she may have been Finnick’s stylist and objected to his treatment after the games.
Yeh this isn’t true at all. If this were the case….the entire trilogy wouldn’t make sense. Katniss and her impact speaks for itself without the inclusion of Lucy Gray Baird

You saw west side story too: Sejanus was Chino!
Wow talk about perfect timing… just woke up and seeing this was posted 6 seconds ago… im excited for this
i think when snow shot her at the end it was actually just him hallucinating from the snake venom

It is highly theorized that Lucy is related to Katniss
Not Lucy herself but the little girl from the covey is more likely
