Hey, Last Year Bunny event consistent player here and was a general dolphin from June -> November. The first months were pretty good in content and retrieving very powerful characters to play casually while leveling up consistently and spending a bit did boost my account here and there, and initial hype of seeing jiggles. But as I am almost 100 levels past the 160 wall and getting into the mid-late game area... I'm starting to see the faults of NIKKE a bit. While I'm still planning to play Nikke for the story, character collection, and gear/skill building, what I think should be addressed is the frequency of highly-recommended/collab banners within short periods and the rate of obtaining materials for pulling banners/building teams. Releasing them back-to-back without a break or not enough vouchers given for more F2P or casual and the drip feed of materials does feel too grindy to work through, saving materials or not. This is personally why I favor BrownDust2's way of handling their design: - Maxxing characters is not a hard requirement to get through the game's main content - Cutscenes are earned with the initial first copy - Ticket pull refund system (this is such a genius system) - Various and generous ways to obtain materials needed to make a strong team and obtaining characters. (In NIKKE, Not counting the amount of gems you can get from the various side content as the multi pull is quite expensive compared to BrownDust2 and their pity system is usually only good for about 2-4 characters a year) - Cheaper multi-pull Yes, it's a gacha game meant to make you play daily but I'd love to see some more variation of content that's more than just temporary/small mini-games. At this point, it feels like SU borderline wants you to be a whale player even as a casual going for main content and not into PVP or meta-building. I do think core dust and sync level should stay as the separating factor of power that's the biggest difference between whalers and casual spending/F2P, along with all the cash shop packs. TL,DR: Make the casual gameplay more casual for collection/PVE and leave the more competitive gameplay for PVP and whales. This could be solved with making the materials and vouchers for causal more plentiful and generous to obtain the initial unit and good gear and make the absolute overtuning and max MLBing for whales with buying more core dust, spare bodies, and other materials that are available for purchasing.
I don't understand your "TLDR"... that's already how the game is. This is an idle game btw. You're either going to pay money for power to skip the wait or push through to power cap and wait for more freely.
@@Blue-qi4tl Of course, I know it's an idle game, it has an auto option for a reason. What my argument is that materials we are given for casual players can be upped for acquiring the characters and team building. For example, we are given Cindy, Grave, 4 Christmas LIMITED banners, and then Rapi Hood (The OS/Piligrims being 1% banners, mind you), ALL within 2 months of each other while each and every voucher we get from these events can easily be used up by the pilgrims/OS characters alone. 2 months is a VERY short time period in NIKKE for recovery. Then, a collab is upcoming very soon where there's going to be at least 4 banners. For a casual spender, this is brutal cycle since this is probably the very last chance to grab them. I'm not afraid to spend money on this game, I already did and willing to continue to do so for the outfits. It's just the recovery periods after these events are crazy short, even for average spending because the value of the mission passes/event pass/gacha pass really does not equal out to the value for the amount of vouchers you need without feeling like you're going to take forever to catch up or waste my resources before they decide to have a skill reset/voucher and gem giveaway. I know it's far from the worst gacha since there are way more stingy and grindy gachas out there with low-ass rates and NIKKE is really good when it comes to obtaining non-limited characters. (hell, NIKKE is in my top 3 of best gacha games.) I'm saying that the obtaining of units and materials could be upped because the big spending factor should only be for those who are looking to level up fast and maxing out the characters ASAP while casual players could use more free vouchers for getting really good chances to get upcoming characters without MLB and more materials for building said characters in a reasonable amount of time. Currently, to get the anni, Christmas, and new years units built, it's going to take so long that new good banners are going to show up before I even build up 50% of the characters from those events and my vouchers/gems are only good for about 7 multi-pulls... for 4 limited characters of 4% rate. This is why BrownDust2 is also one of my favorites, there's a good flow of materials for pulling and building up a team and I don't have to spend a lot to be okay when it comes to limited events and just obtaining one copy. And don't get me started on how the doll system is for NIKKE... I'm not asking for absolute get every character and BOOM, you got everything you need to zoom through the game. Just a boost for the amount of new good characters they're introducing while they increase the game's difficulty scale every so often.
As a casual player I do see a lot of these affecting me especially about the resources being so limited and takes forever to get anything to lvl 10 stats on a nikke. I do hope shift up will try to address this because I am worried.
I don't agree with the idea that the end game is trash. Compared to most gachas Nikke's endgame is extremely flushed out and in terms of competitiveness outside of PvP as well. SR something to look forward to if you want to make incremental improvements even after reaching 3%, if you don't care for it, you got Union Raid which can be a fun group achievement. There's pushing hard mode campaign with high CP deficit can take a lot of time whenever you make a breakpoint which could amount to a few hours of manual gameplay each time you revisit. The things I mentioned take A LOT of time to do along with your dailies and events and what not. Vast majority of players aren't even doing the previously mentioned things, and are just either skipping it or doing the absolute bare minimum. People who are quitting are usually people with high sync who plays for waifus and allocates resources poorly and perform poorly in SR and UR and don't care about the endgame content/story.
Weren't snipers and RLs already reworked when they improved burst gen for charged shots? I feel bad they didn't get credit for people using the layer editor, but most of the points regarding the game itself are shit.
I like where the game is. Im a dolphin who dabbles in PVP, but i pretty much skip it and lost areas because it all just comes down to finding a YT video on meta or in the case of the lost secture puzzles, the correct route/sequence. There is no genuine 'skill', just a wallet-flexing arms race (no shade it thats what people are into). Those aspects arent really engaging to me, its more tedious then anything. As someone who has played since launch, I play Nikke for the "plot" 😏, the plot😢, the music, and the lore. IDK what could be introduced that would legit get me into a hardcore headspace for this game.
Gonna disagree with all those points across the board. He’s advocating for silly QOL updates when in reality we need impactful gameplay updates such as reworking tribes tower or reworking coop. If he complained about those instead I would agree with them. Also you’re not supposed to be able to max every single character you get day one. it’s not some baby Genshin impact game where you can build one team and then your entire reasoning for playing the game is over because that 1 team clears all content in the game. We actually have intricate end game that requires a lot of characters. Maybe it’s because people don’t realize games that give you everything on a silver platter means you have no reason to play the game anymore.
Look, I love nikke and shift up, but saying you are not supposed to level every character is an actual issue, gacha as a mechanic is the worst a game can have and personally I can't give a gacha game a score above 7 even if the game is perfect in all other aspects, the amount of skill upgrade materials is far too low and this is after all a waif game people should be able to level up the characters they want or at least been able to reset and level up skills whenever you want and the only reason can't is so they can sell skill upgrades Before you think I'm a new player complaining, I've been playing since day 1, every day. I have every nikke in game level 435, and I'm in one of the top 25 guilds in the game and even I have to plan in advance what to level cause there are so little resources going around
@ I’ve also played since day 1. Nikke’s end game is so good that you could probably get away with buffing skill books a little bit. I’m just simply explaining as to why they are doing it this way. nikke possibly does want to add more game modes in the future so they want to keep room open to give those rewards via new game modes. But I wouldn’t let people reset whenever they want. Kind of invalidates the system when all players can cheese by just skilling up whoever is best for the current raid.
@@SergeantArxelCone and why should it matter, rarids are about OL gear and nikke level not skill level. you can level skill to max and be nowhere as powerful as a 5/5/5 with proper OL lines the skill system only exist to sell modules nothing else just money
How is asking for more materials to build more characters, asking for a silver platter, and how is reworking tower for people that are 400 - 500 floors in already going to be impactful. Tribe Tower by itself has more "engaging content" than MSQ if you have cleared chpt 34-38 hard mode you would know. Also no one is asking to max a single character day 1, we are asking for more progressive ways to obtain more materials over a set amount of events. Take for example an event shop, there is about 100~ skill manual 1 that you can buy, and with simulation you get 42 burst skill manual 1/day which means thats about 600~ rounding it up. To get a Single Passive Skill to Level 10 you need 1094 Skill manuals. Meaning even if you bought everything you couldnt even get 1 character skill to max and mind you every character has 2 passive skills so that means you would need upwards of 2.2k~ to get 1 set of skills to 10/10 minus the burst. Now when your releasing new characters every 2 weeks that are esstentially for the upcoming Solo Raid/Union Raid. Then peoeple are obviously going to be asking for materials to built these characters that the game just released FOR these events. Now add the fact that the past few banners, eva collab (asuka), Anniv (Cinedrella, Grave), Xmas (Xmaiden, Xguilltine), New years (Rapi) and now Mana where most characters are essentially powercreeps of their previous counter parts back in previous Solo Raids. People will WANT to build these characters and with the amount of chum change that it given on a daily basis. Also to add on, how is Liberation not impactful? Its literally a free character, wtv the devs decide to do with the characters to make them good or bad is on them and when Liberation came out It was all the hype for Nihilister. And how is not getting new academy tiers or infrastrure cores not impactful? These literally alleviate so much by boosting idle rewards and given more dispatch options.
@ you can add more skill books without breaking the game as it stands, but most likely they want to save those for rewards for whatever new game mode they are cooking up. for tribes tower I’m referring to its core idea, assembling teams via manufacture. Some units such as epinel see some play there still, and being able to play unplayed nikkes / team comps is something you want to keep them relevant. As for liberation, there’s just key problems with that. It needs to be reworked all together. It was originally meant as a way to reform bad nikkes to our side. but I’m guessing they saw the issue that making heratics free instead of just selling them would be a huge loss of money considering how popular they are(and people were pretty pissed at nihilister). That’s why they are attempting to solve this issue by making heratics “not as evil” as you see with behemoth. Just scratch the whole reform idea and just make it a system to get free nikkes. The other stuff is fine too I just wouldn’t prioritize it over meaningful gameplay changes.
Nikke is a fine gacha but I could quite anytime just because it's getting so boring and repetitive since day 1, on the other hand BD2 is getting better and better just because the devs actually listen to the community and change the game for the better. I know where my money is heading :)
Shift up really needs to either imcreae the amount of materals we can earn or lower the cost of materials needed for upgrading skills. Not to mention overload gear being a pain in the ass to upgrade.
tbf these issues aren't unique to nikke in the slightest. It just has a far bigger audience so the expectations are a lot higher for them to be on top of things
Congrats with Monetization🎉 I am playing only from 1.5 Ani and my only massive complain is Not having resources even to build 1/3 of my Nikkes, damnit it's constantly feels like sitting under fúcking bridge ant asking for penny! And when they drop Duo characters who can only work together then all I want to say is "I love you shift up but FÚCK YOU"
This rant is peak comedy man. I'm in tears, holding in my laughter in the office. I'm a story, art and character guy. I treat these games like pseudo visual novels or RPGs like Persona. For me as long as those are good, I'm good. My problems stem from the lack of materials and bloated releases of new units. I'm able to get by with the generous pity and my amazing luck, but idk. I'm in chapter 30 rn and it's hell. I hate having to take long breaks from the main story just to slowly and painfully buff my characters, meanwhile new METAs get thrown in and I have to build a few new units for other content, which hurts my progression. But I need to buff for those other contents, because I get resources to buff my characters with. It's a cycle. In any case, we'll just have to wait and see. Unless another gacha game comes out soon with a great story, characters, good gameplay and focus on some juicy ass. I'm gonna have to stick with Nikke until I get bogged with real life responsibilities or go off to play more non-gacha games instead. Either way, we'll have to see how it goes.
I contacted the Nikke DB creator, he'll watch your video tonight (I'll remind him) 👀 Btw, he's not even a competitive player, it's just that the game stationary state is frustrating. That being said the part about resources came from me and some of my competitive friends lol
I still like Nikke and thought it was so lewd and good fanservice but when i started playing BD2 then i seen how tame Nikke really is but the fanservice in Nikke is still good but BD2 beats it any day for me, Been playing since 2023 and i still feel like i'm not at end game yet, Kinda wish they let us have the wallpapers with one copy like BD2 but this will never happen lol.
To be honest, I’m not sure if Nikke has many new players anymore. Some of my friends liked the game and decided to give it a try. They even got lucky with pulls and managed to get some good characters. But all of them eventually dropped the game. When I asked why, the answer was always the same: they enjoyed the game, but it’s just too slow. The majority them quit before even defeating Modernia, how do ShiftUp expect new players to stick around? I used to play Destiny Child, and the game died due to the same issues that Nikke is currently facing.
I genuinely wanna know what could get more endgame ? Maybe more rewards but what are you looking for in a gacha game; because you can’t tell me Gear, we get enough of that, resources yes but what then. I’m not hating just genuinely curious what would you want them to do ? And don’t give me “it’s their game they should know”
Nikke is not just losing end game players, they are losing new players too. I started the game Dec 2023 with the SBS + Mordernia banner. I already quit the game before SBS came back lmao. I cant build most of my non-meta units as I am lacking in books, and I dont even have all the meta units (was lacking Naga) because the gacha hates me. I cant even pull Doro (the main reason I started the game) because Shift Up refuse to give her banner a rerun. I know Naga can now be pity using blue tickets and you COULD put Doro on wishlist now, it is WAY WAY too late. I rather just watch youtube videos whenever they release a lore-relevent event/main story chapter.
I want waifus and good story, anything else is secondary. Thing is the resources are low and the combat deficit is crazy punishing. Chapter 32 right now. With over 100,000 deficit . Stuck
I play the game daily do all the daily tasks use events to farm coredust. I doubt champion area will ever come out and i think shift up don't care for en players then to jp players.
I agree with all the complaints only difference is i will just downgrade to completely free to play and skip banners especially since like they said it takes forever to level up skills.
Imma be real. People beechin abt it probably do not realize that Champion Arena is only for the 1% of PVP players. It's for the Whales, Leviathan. It's all about how many Core you have. It's not about builds, team building or strategy. It's not for me, it's not for you. If you spend thousands of dollars a month, then, it's for you. So, Champion Arena is definitely for Content Creators. They whale. They Leviathan. Don't fall for this, "people are leaving in droves..." Agenda. Yes, people are leaving but the number is probably miniscule in comparison to people starting.
I am at a wall myself. If I really want to get ahead I need to spend money. I have spent a good amount of cash on NIKKE. I like the game a lot. Just not going to spend hundreds to get a step farther.
loot and waifus goated site! valid reasons for a day1 player (im not one of them). Dev notes out with sort of a road map and decent updates , but they probably just abandoned the old systems since they aint making any money from them. fuck liberation absolute chore for units that get no use nowdays, SAVE MOMMY NIHILISTER PLEASE SHIFT UP
Solo Raid, Union Raid, climbing either Arena, Overclock Simulation Room, and Anomaly Interception... we're still talking about "Endgame" content? Does anyone consider the "Champion Arena" mode that keeps getting delayed is just not a real priority to Shift Up and their vision for the game? Why do people make these doom posts about the game right after big events as if this game is ACTUALLY in trouble? And we're looking at a forum post from a clearly very salty individual trying to tell me and everyone else this game is "bleeding players"? Good riddance, hope they quit too or at least snap back to reality about the game they're playing. I can say pretty confidently that I doubt I need to look at any Nikke statistics to know this game is doing just fine if not better than it has been in the past 2 years 😂 Story, music, and characters. If you're not here for those three things I genuinely feel like you're playing the wrong game but to each their own. This is why I stay away from Nikke content besides the animators
Ha this is that time of the month ! Yeah, when UR extrem mode came out I was baffled, even made a post on reddit but it seems noone cares. They (shift up) hyped up this mode and sold it as a revolution only for... ONE FUCKIN DAY ? How is that different than previous UR except for the top 1% that maaaaaybe have a different score now ? 100% agree with the admin here, why can't they make it a 3-4 day thing with infinite HP where you have to select your boss (i.e specialities according to type) and try to score the maximum point. That would be far better. As for the rest, we already know the dance bois !! Rehabilitation Update ModCheck LEFT ! Champion Arena ModCheck TO THE RIGHT TO THE RIGHT ! Dolls* Update ModCheck UP this time ! More Mats Farm ModCheck DOWN now ! Repeat with me, here we go ! (*yeah they just did add some dolls but... half of them are crap, and the other half are good but will take you a month to upgrade since you can't use the mat. of other dolls if not maxed KEKW)
My first Gacha was Brave Frontier (may it rest in peace) While it was destined to die due to lack of compelling endgame content outside of Guild Raids and Arena. The time it took to max a new character was essentially 0 especially compared to NIKKE (or really any other Gacha game) going from that to this has been very jarring to say the least. Getting upgrade mats just to level a characters is asinine let alone upgrading skills, equipment, and dolls. I really hope the game changes for the better.
Its a gacha game, its supposed to milk your wallet...😂 that's why i say this game is a deception, a missed opportunity for a 3rd person shooter with good character desings.
I've been spending less, and less and gradually playing less. Not enough resources, not enough content, and good character designs getting really bad or overly niche kits. Actual daily simulator with a donation box built in.
it will keep losing players, the rate for getting nikkes is worse than 1 year ago. I used to get the nikke in 50 pulls. Now I do like 200 and get nothing...
@@Nihilisterplayz which content? Solo raid/union raid/pvp? I mean its logical that a new player shouldnt be able to rank high vs players who were building their accounts for almost 2.5 years now.
I don't see it. My guild is pretty active and i never even spend on resources to reach end game. True the skills books are very limited but its still doable as long as you do your dailies
They just posted developers note looks like champion arena is back on the menu kekw
Gonna record vid on that.
Surely they will answer all the question right ? COPIUM
Aren't you the loser that was asking for the liberation system back? lol

It takes too long to finish a favorite item and it's annoying when they're meh like Milk's
Agreed. That’s my only gripe with this game. Very stingy with upgrade materials.
I dont care as long as the jiggle physics dont get nerfed
Same.
CHAMPION ARENA ON MARCH!!!! Cant wait to see the march announcement about Champion Arena being delayed by another year!
I'm more of a slick daddy club kind of guy 👨🚘 x2 back to back Blockbuster world champion 🏆

I'm saying that the obtaining of units and materials could be upped because the big spending factor should only be for those who are looking to level up fast and maxing out the characters ASAP while casual players could use more free vouchers for getting really good chances to get upcoming characters without MLB and more materials for building said characters in a reasonable amount of time.
Preach bro. PvP is for the whales, highest power wins regardless of your meta team. Story, music, and characters Nikke nails it and what we stay for 💪
Gonna disagree with all those points across the board.
Look, I love nikke and shift up, but saying you are not supposed to level every character is an actual issue, gacha as a mechanic is the worst a game can have and personally I can't give a gacha game a score above 7 even if the game is perfect in all other aspects, the amount of skill upgrade materials is far too low and this is after all a waif game people should be able to level up the characters they want or at least been able to reset and level up skills whenever you want and the only reason can't is so they can sell skill upgrades
Before you think I'm a new player complaining, I've been playing since day 1, every day.
And when they drop Duo characters who can only work together then all I want to say is "I love you shift up but FÚCK YOU"
I can't wait for March to arrive so people can complain and avoid playing Champion Arena because they don't like PvP.
I am a F2p gamer. I started playing last year, I never payed anything to become stronger and already finished the campaign.
I contacted the Nikke DB creator, he'll watch your video tonight (I'll remind him) 👀
Btw, he's not even a competitive player, it's just that the game stationary state is frustrating. That being said the part about resources came from me and some of my competitive friends lol
7:52 Me: B-bu-but Selhi- ☝️🤓
Selhi: *(K.O. in Minecraft ofc)*
Me: 🤕
I still like Nikke and thought it was so lewd and good fanservice but when i started playing BD2 then i seen how tame Nikke really is but the fanservice in Nikke is still good but BD2 beats it any day for me, Been playing since 2023 and i still feel like i'm not at end game yet, Kinda wish they let us have the wallpapers with one copy like BD2 but this will never happen lol.
Monetized again? We are so back.
Time to doompost every day now that we're back 🙏
To be honest, I’m not sure if Nikke has many new players anymore.
And don’t give me “it’s their game they should know”
These players just want more skill mats, they're casual players that dont get that you dont need a skill level up to 10 to be good.
Stuck
Champion Arena vs. Kung Fu Hustle 2
Which comes out first?
Just like HSR, it took people 2 years to realize all the problems the game has had since day 1 XD!
loot and waifus goated site! valid reasons for a day1 player (im not one of them).
Dev notes out with sort of a road map and decent updates , but they probably just abandoned the old systems since they aint making any money from them.
fuck liberation absolute chore for units that get no use nowdays, SAVE MOMMY NIHILISTER PLEASE SHIFT UP
Less endgame players = more lewd skins
I can say pretty confidently that I doubt I need to look at any Nikke statistics to know this game is doing just fine if not better than it has been in the past 2 years 😂
Story, music, and characters. If you're not here for those three things I genuinely feel like you're playing the wrong game but to each their own.
This is why I stay away from Nikke content besides the animators
Straight Sefhi the only content creator that is straight about his opinion. Thing is you can get more mats. All it takes is a paycheck. Simple.
Wallet-kun is always there to solve our problems 🙏
not much to do in the game to be honest.. end game just grinding daillies and occasional events.. other games like BD2 have much more variety
Its a gacha game, its supposed to milk your wallet...😂
that's why i say this game is a deception, a missed opportunity for a 3rd person shooter with good character desings.
CHILLS
I've been spending less, and less and gradually playing less. Not enough resources, not enough content, and good character designs getting really bad or overly niche kits. Actual daily simulator with a donation box built in.
I think nikke actually does well and we will get a very good year trust the process
it will keep losing players, the rate for getting nikkes is worse than 1 year ago. I used to get the nikke in 50 pulls. Now I do like 200 and get nothing...
Oof a nikke player that provides substantial criticism and isn't happy with a pure png collector? God bless
This game will eos
No place for new players and the old players feel sick and milked
Who said that
Bro is speaking for no one
Sarcasm?
Either way, if I get a nickel each time someone said the game will EOS...
New players will not be able to catch up with the content
@@Nihilisterplayz which content? Solo raid/union raid/pvp? I mean its logical that a new player shouldnt be able to rank high vs players who were building their accounts for almost 2.5 years now.
I don't see it. My guild is pretty active and i never even spend on resources to reach end game. True the skills books are very limited but its still doable as long as you do your dailies
its over prepare for eos 🫡
