Good job! Lots of great tips. I'm brand new at this (0 books so far), so this is all gold for me. “Sometimes I can’t feel it until I listen back to it.” I can relate to that.
A great video with very good advice. Perhaps ACX should listen to Jeffery Kafer's advice and remove the 50-100PFH choice. When you calculate the actual prep, narrating and post production time, it's less than minimum wage.
Love the tips here, making the read more conversational is good to know, what to name your samples, that's gold!! 👌🏼👌🏼Networking is hard when your not from main hubs though 😩
Amazing info :) Thanks a million guys, very inspirational. Yes, like other comments below, it would be great if you could let us know a list of the equipment you used, like the mic, headphones, tablet, computer..etc. May God bless you all in your careers!
I just listened to her four samples on ACX and there is not a darn thing wrong with her audio....of course however, I dont know if that audio was put up there and created after this video and the studio update...?
Great episode! But I have to agree with many others that you encourage us to charge $250+ pfh minimum but then allow RH on the site to post for 50$ pfh. Please stop encouraging this from the RH and change the minimum to reflect the real minimums we need. Other than that you all are wonderful. Thank you.
I know when the the actress The Voice artist is talking one-on-one with the the coach she raises her voice but when she is reading for the piece in the first person she dips her voice down.
For those that have asked, we've added the list of equipment to the video's description. Enjoy!

I really appreciated the read she did...that he kept reminding her "talk to me" was really helpful.
I am so very happy I found this video.
Great information, and nice (free) coaching sessions with PJ and Jeffrey - thanks so much, all!

That was so helpful! I updated my profile on ACX even before this video was done. Thanks!

What would you recommend for a new beginner who wants to get into the industry of narration? What would you suggest we put in our profile?
I am looking forward to learning more about moving forward on becoming a Narrator 🙏
What about Apple people? any recommendations? and will there be a PDF for reminders on tech. and communication pointers?
I love Apple computers! TwistedWave is my favorite DAW for Mac OS. The rest of the hardware and techniques are the same.
This was incredible! Thank you!
This was great. Thank you for all the tips.
WILL THERE BE COPIES IN PDF OF THE SUGGESTIONS FOR THE TECH?
Exactly!!! Please!!
thanks for this, acx team!
Thanks for all the insights.
Would we be able to get a list of all the specific equipment that was used here?
Great information, and a nice (free) coaching session with PJ - thanks, all!
This lady is really good. Can I hire her?
Good info! I'd like to know some specifics about computer/interface/mic that was used in the setup.
Shure KSM32, Steinberg UR22, SurfacePro 7
Great info from everyone!
Will there be any instructions/trainings for audible voice work for non-fiction?
Sean Pratt is a professional audiobook narrator and teaches non-fiction narration.
Loved this video! Thanks for sharing it :)

Over all the boys actress did very well I think she changed her voice with another character but still she dips her voice down for first person
