This is the clearest and most sensible set of permissions and guardrails a narrator can apply to a non-fiction presentation outside of any author-specific requests.

May I say as an author who is thinking (scratch that, who has been trying and failing) about producing my own audiobook out of a master's thesis turned popular level book . . . this was extremely helpful. And affirming. My work *is* a story of sorts, and being able to "own" that as both an author and narrator seems like it will be very helpful.

This may have been the best free lesson ever given on the subject matter.

I am just starting out as a VO actor and want to do non-fiction audio books. DO you need to read the entire book first before beginning the project - assuming you won the bid?
