Fantastic - so great to hear someone play a classic melodic from start to finish with great musicianship. My favorite trumpet recording of this tune is on Doc Severinsen's 1960s album Tempestuous Trumpet. Am sure you've probably heard that album - you sound like the rare few these days who would appreciate how monumental an achievement it was for a then 30 year old Doc to sound and play the way he did all those years back. Love your videos - have just come across your channel and will be exploring further.

Nice 7th chord with a flat 9 at the end before you hit that nice high E! Sometime listen to the Glen Gray Capitol LP recording with Shorty Sherock playing a re-creation of Randy Brooks version of Tenderly - it's incredible. He's playing a Selmer K Modified and no one ever seemed to know what mouthpiece he used. You are always fantastic on your videos.

I was told when I bought it that it was a 72 but I actually have no data on this model of horn at all! I'd love more info about it sometime. But I do love the sound I get on it. The 72 is one of our most inquired current models. It's based on the 700 design with some aesthetic tweaks. With the gold brass leadpipe and bell, it lends itself very nicely to mellow Jazz playing!
