As a "kid" from Mass, and son of a great trumpet player, I certainly "knew" Bobby Hacket, listened to him as a kid like a religion when dad pushed his old album in fron tof me(Embraceable You). Sure, Vache, Ruby Braff and many others. So blessed to have grown up up in a family with a grandfather , being a cornet soloist with the famous Creatore Band of Italy , a dad who played for every top act there was, and ME!!!!! lol who played on a REYNOLDS cornet my dad gave me in the 7th grade cause I guess he had no buyers for it at his music store....lol. OMG, Staigers, Clarke, Arban.......I grew up with them like they were baseball card heros at the dinner table. Love your posts. I have so many stories youd not believe about many of these musicians thanks to dad
I'm taking a stab in the dark...that you are related to Trebor J. who did Ragofile on KWMU or KDHX can't remember which. Attended cutting contests at upstairs Dressels. He was in the St Louis ragtimers. You are a wonderful player.
