    I personally really like the game. Like Black Flag remains the best pirate simulator out there, I still think this is the best Viking Simulator out there and so feel it deserves more praise than it got.

      I think it does a good job portraying vikings. The issue begins with the repetition and lack of variety. I definitely can see why someone would like this game. It just doesn't mix with me very well.

      @@IAmVehementwhere does it lack variety?? The games is vast and beautiful! And repetitive?? In what way!!! Seem like every says the same thing you're all just whiny and complain about every new game. Ac 1 was repetitive. Valhalla every mission is different every region in England is different every king and story arc is different. I swear people just think it's kool to hate ubi these days.. because origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are so very different and so beautiful!! Sorry you just like to be like everyone else rather than making up your own mind. It's a shame. You should play games for yourself and not just agree with what other people think.

    I always thought Assassin's Creed Origins was Ubisoft's AC magnum opus in a sense. They showed the founding of the Assassins and made a fresh take on the AC formula. Origins is literally the only game I've platinumed. Odyssey was alright, though I never finished it. They lost track of the original story too. Never even played Valhalla. (Great video btw my guy)

    Recently started playing. 100 hours. 450 power level. Still going strong. After such a long time investment, gameplay does get repetitive but the story, side stories and dlc stories makes it bearable. Also, playing it on berserker mode makes it more interesting. It was a good blend of stealth (better than Odyssey) and combat (better than origins). Nonetheless, it does get tedious at times, playing with new cosmetic designs does make it enjoyable.

    Recently got this game from my gf, all the dlc's included. Been having a blast so far because of the amazing graphics and cool Viking stuff you can do. But it keeps crashing even tho I'm on a Ryzen 7/RTX 3070 build. It really baffles me how many people have issues with this and Ubisoft still did not adress this issue. I don't mind the repetitive stuff, to me Odyssey was AMAZING too even tho it was repetitive too. I can look past that since I'm used to it from Ubisoft by now. But crashes every hour or so? Nahh.. I just arrived in England but I'm already thinking of not playing anymore because of the crashes.

    This is my first AC game ive ever played. I know ive been living under a rock lol. I liked the gane at the begining it was very intrigued by the story. Ive put in about 35 hours and honestly the side quest and other shinanigans have put me aside. To the point where i forgot why i was england to begin with. On top of that, this whole viking experience is just a simulation of some archeologist trying to figure out what happen to Eiver. Which blew my mind i was like damn thats a plot twist. Sometimes i get so bored that i think to my self is it worth ginishing it. Although i love vikings watched the shows and all. I will continue to play bc i want to see if some good can come out of this

  • @TheRegulus01
    @TheRegulus01 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I was very late to Assassins Creed, only having joined with Origins. So I personally do not really play them, because I want Assassins Creed, but because I enjoy open world games that take me into the past. I love egyptian myth and as a part greek, I call my own bias for having been really excited about Odyssey. While there are a bumps here and there, both were incredibly enjoyable. And because I lack knowledge of norse mythology, I thought Valhalla could be a great way to learn more about it. I loved the new additions to combat, as it helped with Odyssey's problem with damage sponges.
    But, as you said, the story was what burned me out at the end.
    I am not a 100% completionist, but I do at the very least try to finish the stories before I move on to the next game. I noticed at the 30 hour mark that I was getting exhausted and by the end of it, the burnout really settled in. It wasn't a lack of 'Assassin lore' that I needed. I quite enjoy all the information we are getting on the Isu. But an engaging story is still needed and for my tastes, that just wasn't it. Viking fans though should definitely have a lot of fun with this game!

    • @IAmVehement
      @IAmVehement  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've played almost every assassins creed game and mine is odyssey and ac 2 (brotherhood close 3rd). I just really think there's too much filler in the story department that causes burnout. I think if the game was like 20 hours shorter and kept all the exciting stuff and lore stuff it would of been excellent.

    • @TheRegulus01
      @TheRegulus01 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@IAmVehement Absolutely agreed. Sometimes it is better to keep things short, instead of extending it beyond its expiring date. If the story itself was around 40 hours long and the sagas were a bit more diverse, it would have, without a doubt, been great.

    It's so annoying seeing everyone take about this game and explaining if it's worth it or not. People either really love it or hate it, there's like no in between. The people who hate it seem to only care about the fact it's not a traditional Assassin's Creed game, the people who love it are able to look past it. I'll finally see for myself if it's good or not.

    • @IAmVehement
      @IAmVehement  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally like the new style of assassin's creed like origins and odyssey but I still didn't like this one not because of it not being a traditional ac game but for it being overwhelming with its stretched out story and bloated content and lack of vision. Everything felt pointless. Ac odyssey is one of my all time favorite games so I really wanted to love this game.

      I loved ac origins I loved ac odyssey I tried to love Valhalla. I personally prefer the new games over the old games. I could care less what other people think of the game. I enjoyed the game at first but it gets stale being so long and the game just not being able to hold up for the length of time it wants your time. They did everything Valhalla did in both ac origins and odyssey much better. Its just way to bloated and the loot grind is uninteresting due to getting a small amount of materials and the way they want you to gather gear is just not great. let's keep in mind that this guy has not talked about vinland as well. there is a whole another storyline over there. great comparions with odyssey btw. as a person who platinum'd both of them, i feel that odyssey was more fun and the achievements were more easy to do, since the game wasn't so bloated as valhalla. in valhalla we have activities such as cairns or mastery challenges that can drive the player insane since they are done poorly and do not require skill, just luck. great video!

    I feel like they continued to push further with this particular ancient trilogy or whatever they're calling it. Each one was less and less the standard format for the series. Between gameplay, time period, and story. If in Origins you're not technically an assassin until the end when the assassins are founded. I can deal with that. The whole game still had an Assassin's Creed vibe to it just with a different gameplay setup
    Odyssey on the other hand, really just feels like an ancient Greece RPG that happens to have some very loose ties to the concept of the assassins through the DLC. Otherwise about all it really has in its DNA from Assassin's Creed is the fact that you are one by one indeed trying to assassinate a shady secret organization. And the way they set up the cult was far more immersive than the way they did the order in Origins. But otherwise it really kind of feels like its own thing
    With Valhalla, I feel like it's the same and pushed even further. Sure, there's an assassin tagging along with you. But otherwise this game is first and foremost selling the Viking fantasy. It's a Viking game
    And while I loved Origins, eventually came to love Odyssey, and overall really just like this franchise. Valhalla feels a little too bloated. It's a game that I will sporadically play in chunks, but it was already overwhelming to play through the story in Odyssey. This one is just unnecessarily long even compared to that one.
    Pacing brings it down, along with the fact that the map for as big as it is mostly feels like one big giant grassy field with some tiny villages and some forest areas and nothing else
    And I get that that's part of the setting, the game looks gorgeous, but it doesn't make for engaging variety. Odyssey could be pretty similar on some of those islands, but enough of them had their own unique environment to stand out and still offer variety in that game.
    I don't think this game is bad. I have played bad games and this is competently made. It's just too damn big for its own good
