I personally really like the game. Like Black Flag remains the best pirate simulator out there, I still think this is the best Viking Simulator out there and so feel it deserves more praise than it got.
I think it does a good job portraying vikings. The issue begins with the repetition and lack of variety. I definitely can see why someone would like this game. It just doesn't mix with me very well.
@@IAmVehementwhere does it lack variety?? The games is vast and beautiful! And repetitive?? In what way!!! Seem like every says the same thing you're all just whiny and complain about every new game. I swear people just think it's kool to hate ubi these days.. because origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are so very different and so beautiful!! Sorry you just like to be like everyone else rather than making up your own mind. It's a shame. You should play games for yourself and not just agree with what other people think.
I always thought Assassin's Creed Origins was Ubisoft's AC magnum opus in a sense. They showed the founding of the Assassins and made a fresh take on the AC formula. Origins is literally the only game I've platinumed. Odyssey was alright, though I never finished it. They lost track of the original story too. Never even played Valhalla. (Great video btw my guy)
@stephendorn6348 I completed AC Valhalla, and its 3 DLCS, the game is playable but kinda boring, AC Valhalla does not give the player any kind of adrenaline rush. And the open world is just vast landscapes

Recently started playing. 100 hours. 450 power level. Still going strong. After such a long time investment, gameplay does get repetitive but the story, side stories and dlc stories makes it bearable. Also, playing it on berserker mode makes it more interesting. It was a good blend of stealth (better than Odyssey) and combat (better than origins). Nonetheless, it does get tedious at times, playing with new cosmetic designs does make it enjoyable.
Honestly if your having a great time that's what matters! I just didnt click with the story it felt dragged out but I can see redeeming qualities of it.
Lucky for me Valhalla is my first game in assassin's Creed series. I enjoy the game did not get burn out. But when i play horizin the game have same feeling and I get burned out
I think there's a lot of good here I just couldn't keep up with a lot of it feeling stretched and samie but I can definitely see why you would like the game especially if it was your first AC game. I definitely would give odyssey a try you might love it.
I love this game considering its flaws but being a viking the skill tree the open world. Once you get to certain areas you can fast travel to those locations and you do have horses to help you traverse the open world. Ive enjoyed it. Im starting the paris dlc. I have taking a break from this game and moved on to other games. But i wanted to come back for the dlcs. Thats my opinion i guess.
It's definitely not a bad game it's just got bogged down by so many problems. I can totally see why you would enjoy the game. I just couldn't bring myself to finish it due to all the issues I discuss in the video.
It's crazy how much random not needed quests and side activities they added to this game. I also thought the main story pacing was not great but I could see allot of good stuff in it.
Recently got this game from my gf, all the dlc's included. Been having a blast so far because of the amazing graphics and cool Viking stuff you can do. But it keeps crashing even tho I'm on a Ryzen 7/RTX 3070 build. It really baffles me how many people have issues with this and Ubisoft still did not adress this issue. I don't mind the repetitive stuff, to me Odyssey was AMAZING too even tho it was repetitive too. I can look past that since I'm used to it from Ubisoft by now. But crashes every hour or so? Nahh.. I just arrived in England but I'm already thinking of not playing anymore because of the crashes.
That's very bad if your getting crashes alot. I know I heard of people having that issue. Luckily I didn't run into that issue but did have quite a lot of stutter while playing in certain areas. My build is ryzen 7 5700x and a rtx 4070.
This is my first AC game ive ever played. I know ive been living under a rock lol. I liked the gane at the begining it was very intrigued by the story. Ive put in about 35 hours and honestly the side quest and other shinanigans have put me aside. To the point where i forgot why i was england to begin with. On top of that, this whole viking experience is just a simulation of some archeologist trying to figure out what happen to Eiver. Which blew my mind i was like damn thats a plot twist. Sometimes i get so bored that i think to my self is it worth ginishing it. Although i love vikings watched the shows and all. I will continue to play bc i want to see if some good can come out of this
You hit on a lot of what my issues are I agree the story could be interesting and the idea for a great game is there but it just has too much bloat and the story moves super slowly.
I was very late to Assassins Creed, only having joined with Origins. So I personally do not really play them, because I want Assassins Creed, but because I enjoy open world games that take me into the past. I love egyptian myth and as a part greek, I call my own bias for having been really excited about Odyssey. While there are a bumps here and there, both were incredibly enjoyable. And because I lack knowledge of norse mythology, I thought Valhalla could be a great way to learn more about it. I loved the new additions to combat, as it helped with Odyssey's problem with damage sponges. But, as you said, the story was what burned me out at the end. I am not a 100% completionist, but I do at the very least try to finish the stories before I move on to the next game. I noticed at the 30 hour mark that I was getting exhausted and by the end of it, the burnout really settled in. It wasn't a lack of 'Assassin lore' that I needed. I quite enjoy all the information we are getting on the Isu. But an engaging story is still needed and for my tastes, that just wasn't it. Viking fans though should definitely have a lot of fun with this game!
I've played almost every assassins creed game and mine is odyssey and ac 2 (brotherhood close 3rd). I just really think there's too much filler in the story department that causes burnout. I think if the game was like 20 hours shorter and kept all the exciting stuff and lore stuff it would of been excellent.

@@IAmVehement really dont understand you people, the combat is such a big upgrade from origins...its so direct and responsive its on par with the witcher 3. the only thing ''clunky'' are those flails but just dont use them vs a big unbreakable shielded enemy. you can dual wield normal and even 2 handed weapons with the right skills, you can use shield and weapon, 2 handed or dual wield, switching from bow to melee is easy midfight there are special skills for each weapon type, abilities for both the ranged and melee tree...i really dont see the issue in combat here parry window is also right where it should be lol, get gud i guess and if not, you could even adjust the timing window yourself in settings to make the duration longer or shorter the stomping part yeah, that i agree with, it bugs out often

Okay I’m starting to think Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is not worth playing.
I think it's just really hard to finish. It's bloated it's slow paced and it takes at least 60 hours to roll credits if you speed run. But it's a very flawed game.
Love it.
played for 4 hrs got sick of clunky combat. Ai drivin toons dumb as rocks
I got 45hrs and I still had SOO much left to do. I also agree with the combat. I don't know how they went from origins and odyssey to this. The combat in those games was super good and felt right idk what happened here.
@@IAmVehement really dont understand you people, the combat is such a big upgrade from origins...its so direct and responsive its on par with the witcher 3. the only thing ''clunky'' are those flails but just dont use them vs a big unbreakable shielded enemy.
you can dual wield normal and even 2 handed weapons with the right skills, you can use shield and weapon, 2 handed or dual wield, switching from bow to melee is easy midfight there are special skills for each weapon type, abilities for both the ranged and melee tree...i really dont see the issue in combat here
parry window is also right where it should be lol, get gud i guess and if not, you could even adjust the timing window yourself in settings to make the duration longer or shorter
the stomping part yeah, that i agree with, it bugs out often
Dude buys lion pays for mtx and wonders why Ubisoft games are so bad...
I didn't buy it I got it in redas shop with the in-game currency you earn.
i want assassins creed in fortnite
Can you do some give away?
I'm sure some day in the future
To all those who think the old boring assassin creed games were the best😂.... Stupid. I remember Halo blowing those games out of the water every year. Not anymore, The A/C open world games are the best hands down
I really enjoyed the ezio trilogy and didn't mind 3 but I love origins and odyssey.
odyssey is the best imo
💯💯💯
odyssey is very good; but so is valhalla. i have more hours put into valhalla; but i fell back in love with assassins creed odyssey ; so theres that.
No offense but what happened to your teeth? 😅
In process of getting them fixed. But long story
