    Why don't we have an emergency medical facility at the airports with an ambulance?

    • @BeHonestNow
      @BeHonestNow หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly! Or available to the public! You cannot call 119 and get an ambulance in Ja. This is what our people need to focus on instead of laughing and singing about "Clarkes" etc and blocking roads and court houses foe murderers....Our lack of proper priority is what cause this nation to be behind and we pay for it with our lives everyday😢

    They all know what is going on. They know that everything in this airport is a hustle. Most of the employees are rude, lazy and unprofessional.
    They need a house cleaning and a culture change.

      💯 agree, they all need a job description or implement getting training from overseas in good customer service as clearly Jamaica is not up to the job. Both airports are a sham, nothing has changed concerning workers on the ground during the 45 years I've been traveling to Jamaica.

    The government of jamaica need to do better because there is no sense of urgency around peoples lives and this is why alot of people who live overseas and even have the intention to return to their country have second thoughts. I love my country but too many of us don't take life seriously. One more funeral behind another for this mans family. My sincere condolences to his family. Smh

    It's a "Damn Disgrace" how the management of a dying person who collapse at the Airport was handled. Calling the man relative wasn't a priority and asking for money to pay for Private Ambulance was act of cruelty. You Mr Daryl Vaz, Minister of Transport, please can you eliminate this protocol of Private Ambulance used for the Airport. You cannot rely on Private Ambulance to deal with dying emergencies, because money will be asked for before the patient taken to the Hospital, which is what the lady stated in her report, very disgraceful There will be no time to talk about money, we need to save life and everything need to be done quickly. Mr Daryl Vaz and Mr Tufton, "woonu nuh shame" 😮 Please can you both implement at both our International Airports, a Medical Emergency Department, staff by a Medical Doctor and a Registered Nurse, also to have a Standby Government Ambulance which must be well equipped with emergency equipment. Both of you sir Mr Vaz and Mr Tufton should be held accountable for your negligence in not having a infrastructure for dealing with medical emergency for airline passengers on ground. This man life could be saved if the right response was given. This lady in the report stated that he was gasping for air. Doesn't seems as if the dying man was even given any oxygen by the so call Nurse which probably could perlong his life. Poor Leroy 😢 RIEP

      Taxi should not be a replacement for an ambulance..I am a RN who just transported stable twin premature babies to a hospital closer to home if anything went wrong trip I have my knowledge and equipment in that ambulance to give life saving treatment until more help arrive

    • @BeHonestNow
      @BeHonestNow หลายเดือนก่อน

      Taxis are not the answer! Having trained persons, appropriate equipment, rapid responding EMS(ambulances, EMTs and Paramedics) is the answer. Apart of the EMS is also notifying the hospital ahead of time that the person/ even will be arrive so thst they can have adequate resources and time to prepare for the person so that they give the person the best chance of survival and saving the person' lives and prevent disabilities.

    Unfortunately, one shouldn’t travel to Jamaica without international health coverage (or anywhere really) but especially Jamaica. People criticize the American healthcare system, but at least it is law that a person has the right to emergency medical care and stabilization regardless of insurance or the ability to pay.
    Jamaica has developed a dog eat dog culture, it’s really sad to see.

      This 71 year old man that you spoke about is my cousin. Wasn't a feeble or sick man
      He drove himself back and forth from Montego Bay to Westmoreland
      He looks like he's in his early 60
      And very active like a 17 year old
      The bottom line is (NEGLIGENCE)
      I'm so heart broken
      If it wasn't for that lady who went live on the media we the family wouldn't have a clue of what really happened 💯
      God always send a witness for His children
      It hurt so much but he's gone however this is an eye opener for everyone
      May the Creator of the universe the One and only True and living God protect that lady and her entire family from all harm and danger
      The entire health system in our country Jamaica is a disaster
      And it's just the naked truth
      I rest my case in the Mighty and Powerful Hands of God the
      (ALL MIGHTY) ALMIGHTY One
      WE SHOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT
      (GOD ISN'T PARTIAL AND WE ARE ALL BUT DUST)

    All airport staff should be trained to perform CPR and basic life support and AEDs (Defibrillators) should be readily in all the sections within the airport! Jamaica is very poor. We should not have airport in Jamaica. If you don’t have healthcare at the 2 airport in Jamaica is very poor to know a place where Jamaicans the whole world travel through and giving their money tax and them drop underground and no one can help them. I can’t believe this is happening in Jamaicaand Jamaica people spin so much pay so much tax and can’t get help. It is bad. They need to give back the money to the Man for his uncle. Family is not supposed to pay for help into big institution like airport that is very very poor.

    There is no ambulance at any airport in foreign country. .. Thry have planes. it’s an airport not a hospital. .. why they never use car carry him to hospital. ? All of you dissing Jamaica always remember you are immigrants and always will be. . Lots of you not even living great life in foreign. Some overworked in order to have things. ..i know lots of people including myself than most in foreign. .. I have travelled and lived abroad. .. I am retired at 45 and not in need of anything . I live on 10 acres and a beautiful house and have great fresh food each day. Crime is rampant in America and Canada also homelessness… Foreign is not paradise
