CANADA DIARIES Ep.3 ✿ Travel day to Banff via Toronto & Calgary In the dead of Winter in a car ☃️

- Welcome to the Canada Diaries 🇨🇦 Today is the day we have been waiting for as we head to Calgary from Toronto, where we pick up our hire car and head into the Rocky Mountains as we start our Journey in Banff National Park!
🇨🇦 First we head to the Eaton center in Toronto, where we find a really cool drink store called Machi Machi, hit up miniso, and have a delicious meal and check out a cool Japanese Arcade called Octo!
🇨🇦 Then we head to Toronto Airport for our flight into Calgary, Alberta
🇨🇦 Then it's time to pick up our hire car and navigate the Canadian roads for the very first time as we head into the Rocky mountains, bound for Banff National Park!
Lets go on a adventure together shall we?

So cool to see you in Canada. 🇨🇦 💕The drive to Banff is amazing. I’ve been many times and it never gets old. Jasper is also very beautiful. Radium is also a favourite stop. The Johnston Canyon hike to the Ink Pots is amazing. There are some really gorgeous hikes you can do. We try to get up there at least once every summer to enjoy the nature and views.

Being Canadian and from Alberta it brings me so much joy and excitement to watch your excitement because the mountains are truly breathtaking. I live in northern Alberta and am still in awe of how massive these beauties are! Its just like you say the camera really never give them any justice. Enjoy all the beauty and Banff is truly a vibe isn't it :)
Love that you came to my country :) I watch all your Florida vlogs. We live in Red Deer, Alberta and drive to Penticton BC every summer to visit family. If you love the mountains in Banff, you would be blown away driving over them to BC past Banff. They really are amazing and I'm thankful I live only a few hours from them.
Yay. Was waiting for this one I live in Calgary I can see the mountains everyday from here. We don’t do Banff often but it is so beautiful and yes those mountains are enormous in person. Choose Westjet to fly next time :) they have a huge fleet. Excited for the next vlogs in Banff!

Lovely scenes in Canmore and Banff. Just out in our back yard. Happy you guys were able to enjoy the spectacular nature sights, fresh mountain air, great food, shops.
The drive between Jasper and Banff is called the Icefield Parkway and it is unreal! 100% have to do it next time you're in Canada, you'll love it. So happy you're enjoying the trip, Canada is a very beautiful place.

I was so nervous driving in America but it was fine, my partner said something I’ve never forgotten - the steering wheel always needs to be in the middle of the road! So you know which lane to be in 😂 this trip looks amazing!

You definitely need to go back the Summer months. I was lucky enough to do a long road trip in a campervan and travelled from Calgary to Vancouver via Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise. We saw so many sights and got to experience some great things. Also you should try and be there for the Calgary Stampede because that is something else. Loving your Canada diaries and makes me want to go back! ❤😁

A good time to visit Toronto is in the winter. In the summer Toronto is packed with tourists. Also, you flew with Lynx air they just went bankrupt.

Banff is beautiful in the summer I went in 2017 with my partner who's from Alberta and it was a good day trip. I hope Banff was a fun experience for you and Dean. I'm heading back this summer to Calgary.

Yep, flight cancelations and delays is how we fly. Welcome to my home country and province I hope you enjoyed your time. That looked like a very expensive hotel in Toronto too.
It wasn’t too bad at all! It was fairly cheap because we booked last minute and I think it was off season’ 🥹🌷

everyone should g et the chance to see the Rockies. People can know how big they are, but until you are standing in front of them its almost impossible to UNDERSTAND how big they are 😀

Welcome to my country!! Flair is a new budget airline that launched in Canada about 2-3 years ago.. they haven't gotten great reviews so far lol. I went to Banff a couple years ago and will never forget the drive into the mountains from Calgary. I felt like I was in an IMAX theatre or something it was unreal. We saw some caribou grazing on the side of the road too. I hope you and Dean enjoyed your travels! I think you'd both love Vancouver, so much Asian influence and Japanese-style stores. Maybe next time you're on the west coast!

Yeah, I was supposed to fly flair from winnipeg to Kelowna for a wedding in 2019 and because my friend had booked with her credit card points, we weren't properly notified of the cancellation till a week before. Thank goodness my mom was willing and able to let me use her air miles because the westjet flight was about 3x more and I hadn't budgeted for that!

I’ve always wanted to do a big Canada trip! I think I would do something similar fly to Toronto , stay in Toronto a bit then fly to Calgary , stay a bit then drive down to Banff and lake Louise , jasper and then end off in Vancouver.

Lynx airlines just shut down in Canada a couple weeks ago! Loads of people were stranded all over the place and it was a huge issue for loads of travellers, you two are lucky you just missed all that!!!

The scale on the Canadian mountains is amazing , when seeing them in person. I agree that cameras doesn't do them the justice . Im from Europe , but also live in the Vancouver area , and we love to do little trips around the mountains. So many little villages hidden there , and some of them have interesting local areas to see. I have it in my bucket list to do a travel from the East to the West coast by either car , or train - there is one that goes from Toronto to Vancouver , is pricy , but if one like to enjoy the views is worth it.

@@catherinekayy The Economy is cheaper , and you still have access to the dome car , which is what we plan to do. For us no point in paying double or triple for the premium , when well be sitting in the view car all the time.

The east cost of Canada is so much more interesting the the rockies in my opinion and it also has mountains but smaller, but a lot more interest and scenic places. Newfoundland alone blows alberta out of the water.

It is worth the extra cost to fly with the bigger airlines because of all the nickle and diming the smaller airline charges.

Lynx airlines has actually gone bankrupt. The budget airline industry in Canada sucks. It's ridiculously overpriced to fly anywhere within Canada. I'm a Canadian and I avoid Toronto Pearson and fly from Buffalo New York whenever I can.

I don’t know if you know Toronto, but if you don’t… the colour grading is the only reason Toronto looks so good. Toronto in the winter ain’t pretty.
My camera also doesn’t pick up the accurate colours and what I see, so I colour grade it with my own filters to create the ambience and vibe I’m feeling at the time 🥹🌷
