Your SUP foil progression is inspiring. Thanks for the vids. I mainly ride HPS for winging and wondering which spitfire would replace the HPS 930 and 1050. Either 960/1100 or 900/1030?
That's the million dollar question, also a winger with the same quiver. Thinking of keeping the HPS1050 for its low end and getting the Spitfire 900 for everything else (edit: I'm 80 kg).
I'm kinda tired of only using my PNG1150 for pumping. Dream is having a set in the same range that could do it all. PNG's er to slow for winging. Have you tried or think its possible to dockstart the Spitfire 1100?
Hey bud. Always great to watch. I'm currently using the 1050hps when Supping small weak waves on my DW board. Do you think the pump back out and linking waves is easier on the 1050hps over thd 1100 Spit?
Looks awesome! Would you recommend them for winging? Do they replace the HPS wings? How's the speed compared to the HPS and ART series? I'm thinking about getting the 840 or the 900 for winging to have a real agile and fast foil...
Hey Dave can you at the gear your riding in the clips to the description, what I’d give to have a filmer haha no one’s putting their hand up to stay on the beach in our crew 😂
For winging, and for a lighter rider, how much more wind do you think you need to get foiling on the 840 compared to the 900? (My biggest foil is a 1050 & I use the 899 the most , looking for something to complement them).
I am wondering why not ditch the paddle and strat prone on the DW board when doing a session in the surf? Seems like it would be closer to regular prone session to me but IDK I don't have a DW board yet. Cheers!
Hi Dave, it seems that you did not ride the 960 but do you think that it could be a good prone wing for 95 kg guys.. in weaker European waves? Everybody is just talking about 900 but isn’t it that the 960 is the 900 for 90+ kg?
I haven't got one :) Mine arrives this week hopefully. Most of the team got given the 900 and the 840 as pre production models. Which is why. I actually think the 960 will be alot of peoples go to prone wing. I can't say that for sure because I haven't ridden it yet.
❤❤nice

Awesome video! What size spitty are you riding here?
1100 :)

Definitely a dockstart wing. Need a faster run up than the 1150 and it will be an adjustment but alot faster and more fun once up IMO.

Hey mate! I’d say they’re similar. The 1100 is definitely a bit faster and has more top end.

Spitfire is absolutely the improved version of the HPS. Different beast to the ART. I use the Spitfires for everything.

Doing it now :)
@@davewestfoils thanks mate loving these edits as well keep them coming 👍
@@davewestfoils are the advanced shorts custom or coming out soon?
Which conditions dictate the size of the spitfire you choose to use
Board I'm riding and how much I'd rather just stay on foil and pump around or turn really hard. Main two things.
Looks easy! Which rear wing are you riding here?
55 skinny 😊
Your new tag name should be cinematic dave🎉🎉🎉🎉
Haha I was gonna put in a clip at the end of that dramatic tune of me fake crying saying how inspirational it was :)

I have no idea haha! I'm not lighter and there are too many other variables to give an answer. I'd be making up stuff :)
Hows the spitfire on your spitfire??
Haha very good. That’s next :)
And no one out -so good- joe
could a 70kg rider pump the 7"8 sultan?
