Even two years later this might have been the ultimate game of NMJ. It had everything: Key being confused about his starting person, a very first category which took almost 25% of the video, a joke, a catchphrase was born ("I've heard what you had to say and I like it") and Penelope Pitstop for the kill

When this whole shebang started, when I actually think about it, I decided to support Key. I’m nothing if not loyal, but this Penelope Pitstop business is extremely testing. It’s a bit like, when I think about it, supporting Fulham. Which I do, so I’m getting it from all angles.
When you think about it, supporting someone who defiantly argues that animals aren't birds or "tailor" isn't an imperative verb, you might have backed the wrong person.

I'm re-watching these early series yet again. There's been very few Honduran premier league footballers, but, ironically, as well as Wilson Palacios - who they remembered at the end - one of the other few ones was called Hendry Thomas. So Watto was lucky to survive the Stephen Hendry selection (both spelt with a D, and not Henry). And both times one of the few premier league players from Honduras could have done for him.

Mr Key, the new Frank Worthington, should bring in a sports psychologist to help him over this hump and ready him for Set 2. Things I have learnt from Set 1: The Coen Brothers should do a West Country remake of the Big Lebowski and cast Mr Watson in the lead role and Mr Key in the Walter role. Mr Horne has some lovely Quentin Blake illustrations hanging on his wall. We really need to see more of these. In this COVID situation, when there’s no real point if you’re not going out of the house, Mr Key is gentleman enough to still persist with wearing trousers. Well done all. I would like to know why the original No More Women series was taken off TH-cam? It was amazing with the time pressure and such a shame it can't be found to watch now.
Surely the move when someone plays "no more left handers" is for the next player to have "no more right handers". In effect declaring Mornington Crescent or Checkmate
I would disagree with the winning challenge - Horne's rule was "No more two first-namers" (8:21) which is different to the annotated rule of "No more forenames as surnames" (10:10). I would argue that Rebel is not a common first name at all, even though it is a first name - if somebody had named a person (who when you think about them) their surname was Rebel, I doubt a challenge on this basis would have been made.
Was thinking the same. Surely a challenge would require not only a Wilson, but also a name-another on Rebel, which would seem awkward, when you think about it. Horne has really psyched Watson into an unnecessary concession through sheer force of conviction... still, all in the game.
He did say that at first but then when explaining the category, only explained the last name thing. I think it's assumed that anyone's first name is by definition a first name.
The rule clarification ended up with being able to name someone with the surname as a first name. This was after the top 50 names and top 100 names. It's not about where the rule starts, or the bit flashed on screen (because it's edited in after the fact), but on the agreed on rule.

I would argue that the final listed statistic was a crucial indicator of success.
I find it really interesting that the number of successful vs failed challenged is statistically the same for all of them.
