@CareerFireman There's videos of a Hellcat with skinny street tires (not even the Widebody with big, fat 305's) taking the tightest turns on the Nurburgring at 50mph, and taking other turns at 90mph.
Don't underestimate the Challenger the way Euro-fanboys underestimated the Viper, which BTW, outcompeted cars on the track, that were 5x it's price.
JustJay0312: Wait about 3 years and used Redeye's will be more affordable just like used Hellcats are now. I remember back in 2015 when the Hellcat's first came out and they were selling for over msrp at 80K and ect with all the hype. You can buy a nice used Hellcat now between 48 and 50K. You just have to wait and don't buy into the hype. Chrysler said they are going to make a bunch of these Redeye's.

Hi.. I have a general question but still applies to the Hellcat... Dodge owners manual for Hellcat says in chapter "Servicing and maintenance" : "Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 6,000 miles (10,000 km) or six months, whichever comes first.".... Now, let's say a dealer has a new car that sits in the garage 10 or 16 months... only a few customers add a 100 miles or so during the period for testing... will the garage do the oil change required under maintenance plan after six months and 12 months or not? How does that work? Thanks for your response...

Watched a few vids of the guy driving a hellcat on the Nurburgring.... it can corner ... Red-Eye improves handling, ups HP & torque ... Muscle Car with Super Car ability chasing down & passing a few Porsches, Ferraris & AMG’s with twice the weight & less aerodynamics

I'm 5'11 and I fit very comfortably in the back seat, but that is in the R/T. Idk if there are size differences in the redeye vs the RT tho.
For the same reason a corvette isn’t a supercar yet is because you can buy a base model that looks almost the same or even has the same body. A real American super car is like a Dodge Viper, or Ford GT.

Awesome intro/review
It's not a super car for these reason (and I love the demon so much and I think this is a great car)
1. The brand, it's simple put no ferrari, or lamborghini, or aston martin, or McLaren.
2. It has horse power but let's be honest the best from those brands I mentioned would leave it in the dust.
3. The look yeah it's cool and manly but it's not exotic looking just cool.
4. It doesn't have the price/exclusiveness a supercar needs.
End of it all I agree it's a hell of a bargain like the corvette Z06 but like the prior it's not a supercar. Simply put it you were offered this or a aventador your choosing the lambo end of story.
It was not built to be a supercar. It does not look like a supercar. It does not accelerate or handle like a supercar. A Dodge Demon only does 0-60 in around 3.8 seconds on normal roads. It is just an overpowered 90's Mercedes E-Class.

I was talking to a guy at a car show with a Hell Cat, and he was told by his insurance company(Allstate) that in 2019 they will no longer be writing coverage for the Hell Cat! He started calling around and State Farm and Farmers told him the same thing. He told me he finally found that Hegarty would cover it but had to agree to a low mileage usage, something like 1000 per year. Basically to local car shows and cruise ins. Would someone from TFL please confirm this and report out on it!

Well I wish I could get it for 70k. It's cost me 200k. Importing to Australia was 5k. Conversion was 40k. 140k USD I'd say it cost. 195k AUD is what it's cost me here and that I feel. But being the one of probably 10 nation wide rather than having the mustang which is the most sold sports car in Australia, is a good feeling driving. Can't wait for it to be ready

To Roman, it's a "supercar bargain" because he is a Hellcat owner and fanboy. Just because it has a million horsepower doesn't mean it's a supercar. 797 horsepower won't do anything if you can't put that power to the ground.
Sounds like the consensus says that it's not a supercars. I have to agree. It's still an American muscle car to me. Now the Viper.... now we're getting closer.

Love it or hate it if you must. When I was young driving older v8 muscle cars, I couldn't fathom something like this being for sale to the public as an everyday driving car. I would have thought 500 hp was the threshold. Hell, we were worried that the v8 and rear wheel drive would be long gone. I hope this age of big horsepower stays around for a while!
They made the back seat smaller than previous Hellcats? And why only 305's at the back, why not 315's? People already put 305s on their older Hellcats. Almost a 100 more HP and it has the same top speed as previous Hellcats.

not a supercar... sure, it has hp but that's about it. It's as heavy as some suvs. It handles like a boat, can't handle corners. Even when you have launch control you're still shredding tires. It will go fast on the quarter mile PROVIDED you install those mandatory parts/packs that Dodge mentioned.
if I got a wide body.... it wouldn't fit in the garage... I have like 2 inches clearance when I back in as it is.... id have to demo the house...…. however... that means - I could put in a lift too.…. winning!

Do yourself a favor and look up two things: Power to weight ratio, and traction. Two 305's is still nothing close to an all wheel drive supercar with (small) 250's or 270+'s. You may feel great knowing you have 797hp, but did you earn it? No, you bought into it. Is it reliable? Maybe, until you get too gutsy around the corner and touch the traction control button. But don't trust me, just look up hellcat crashes. It may be fun to boast how much power these cars have, but this car is much less supercar than even an AWD Jag or V10+ audi, both of which are affordable options. Numbers are fun, but they are meaningless without perspective - one taste of a BAC mono or Ariel Atom will have you backwards. :) But it all goes away when you rip a burnout cloud so thick, your friends can see it from the next county over.
The fact that it has a back seat, regardless of the size, is proof the it is not a super car. In addition it can't corner anywhere near as quickly as a super car.

I think the term "supermuscle" should exist because you can't just call a car known to be a muscle a supercar...
This is the only review I've seen that criticized the Challenger's back seat. At 33" of legroom the room is respectable, especially for a muscle car.
You can make al the power in the world and be a fast as you want, doesn’t make you a Supercar. There’s more factors then just speed and power when deciding if something is a Supercar. There’s nothing super about a Challenger.
