That bagpipe sounding lead in to wild thing is one of the coolest guitar peices of all time. Hendrix was a master. His music has helped me through many tough times in my life.
There is only music BEFORE Hendrix, and music AFTER Hendrix. Jimi is the Axis that all music revolves around. He took music to new places and taught EVERY musician how it's done! He is forever the MASTER!!!!
The first time I heard Jimmy Hendrix Say click bang what a hang your daddy just shot me... I bought my friends guitar I've been playing music ever since I traveled the world been having a wonderful Life of music ..Thanks to My friend Jimmy Hendrix who I never met. Only through his music he became a life time Friend ..Always...
Their managers would find anyone recording footage/audio during shows, confiscate their equipment, and destroy them (so people couldnt sell the recordings).
Jimi had an abundance of energy early on in his career. He became a more inspired virtuoso later on, but the early part of his career is pretty much the greatest cultural phenomenon of the 60's. He was black, sexually liberated and the foremost master of the electric guitar that would ever live.
Sexually liberated? Has there ever been any man, who wuz not sexually free? I undastand, DUH sociology, bhind race & class, BUTT if a rich, SO CALLED white gurl liked almost any SO CALLED 60z black guy, ( Outside of da Nation of Islam, or sumthin like dat. ) dat SO CALLED black guy would MOST LIKELY return da SINterest, n kind! Azz 4 da Guitar-talk...... No battle from me.
I was there. It was LOUD! It was a long night and you had to rest at times. I was stretched out on the floor when Marc Bolan stepped over my legs. Excuse me man he said. Not only talented but polite. I had seen Marc live previously at of all places…………Baldock youth club in Hertfordshire.
Never Equaled Never Surpassed Never compaired Joe Piscopo announced Sunday night on his Frank Sinatra Radio Show that he gave his son for his birthday, a copy of the new digitally re-mastered ‘Are You Experienced’ album. Jimi plays ‘Strangers in the Night’ in the ‘Wild Thing’ solo and performed it at Monterey with one hand. Piscopo was a rock drummer in his early years and his son is a guitarist. Hendrix is the greatest rock artist of all time and Mitch Mitchell, the best drummer says Piscopo. Joe is a loyal Hendrix fan and usually mentions Jimi on his show, and plays snippets of Hendrix’s music. Can’t wait for your next show!
Merry Christmas on Earth! It's so cool how he plays Wild Thing with a Strat and a Flying V! Also check out Noel's Marshall Plexi Slave amp. That's the only one I've ever seen.
If someone mix soundtrack of Jimi's guitar to make it better, make it worst. Echo, double guitar line all those shit. Someone killed those amazing sounds. What's happening to our World.
Having his amps turned up to full gain made them sensitive to the feedback that he manipulated so masterfully but they also picked up radio signals and static interference into the bargain.

Best comment ever!👍👌
Yes, he changed the sound of guitar. Think about how much music changed from 1960-1970!
Goosebumps and there's bootlegs with soundboard quality if you search of this show. Notice recording mike next to PA mike
Maybe we should stop saying BC and AD and say BH AH lol
@@spoonshouse9542 ah very cool that you noticed that I wouldn’t have known.

He's playing lead and rhythm at the same time on the last song wild thing incredible.
He was so handsome.
also one of the coolest dressers in Rock. Psychedelic cowboy!
🎯
He can't be human he's a revolutionary wizard
@Thomas S... to me he always seemed to be from outta this world, a brother from another planet so to speak!
it wierd there is so much Hendrix film footage in the 60's, but hardly any footage of bands
like Zeppelin and Van Halen that came later.
Their managers would find anyone recording footage/audio during shows, confiscate their equipment, and destroy them (so people couldnt sell the recordings).
I was there, stage left of Hendrix, wow what a find, Many thanks to uploader.
How awesome 👌 to see history happen right in front of you
I appreciate these comments because there will be a point in my life when there are no witnesses to Hendrix left
you must be 74 yrs old
Me too! He pointed at me and blew me a kiss during Wild Thing. He was close to my family and just an awesome guy. Much love, Jimi. Miss you.

He was trying to make it
Sexually liberated?

Lying motherfucker..show me the proof
Doing a Beatles cover. What a trip!
I wish generations wouldn't take this for granted. I'd feel robbed personally.
Yup, that audio is upgraded....thanks!

Im happy that Im atleast able to find this video again. but the pre-delay on the audio is quite noticeable
He's the Only One for me!!!
I believe Paul was in the audience, if not another Beatle as well

MASTERFUL!!!
06:43 - The entire metal oeuvre stated in thirty seconds.
No words.
i was there!
Was it mind blowing?
Lucky...
Me too - so pleased to have found this video
Me too. I was running a spotlight.
Yup - me too! Remember the big projections running? King Kong... And Jimi broke a string - but you couldn't tell!
The king of wild abandonment!
Yess Weilding a Thermal Burning Bar
Jimi is the best..and the haters are the haters..
..
That show, with the sounds, is exactly a-kin. Only problem..the tracking was off.
Listen to Jim playing the solo just like the studio version.
People don't even attempt the solo when doing a cover of it.
But this is a recording when he played the Saville Theatre London on 4th June 1967
Nope, that was never recorded, this show is Christmas on earth
Yes!!!!
I agree Tammy.
It is sad that all these clips of Jimi are so low quality. I mean the only way to experience Jimi is…LOUD!!!
Nice one
Whoa, cool! Is there an album of this anywhere??? Official or Unofficial it doesn't matter.
You mean is there a bootleg album out there
mstr Hendrix and the deconstruction of the covers Sargent Pepper is gone
RIP
primera vez que lo escucho completo
weren't the beatles in the auditorium when they performed this?
George and Paul I believe
Yes and Eric Clapton Pete Townshend
Need to let Peter Jackson loose on this one!
Fkkn 27 club...

Im sorry, not a good upgrade. overdubbing other mixes over the original is not an upgrade. You have failed me
LOL!!!
Ur funny, azz ALL HELL!!!
Jimi woulda LOVED u, man!
Who put another line of guitar and voice of Jimi or some mix... why, what for ? Original is beautiful enough.
During Foxy Lady I can hear the version of Stockholm ‘67... why?
I think that was the uploader's attempt at "upgrading" the audio.
I think the studio recording or something is playing at the same time in the bakground also
Good ear. But it’s all sounding really good
Very annoying that there is delayed audio on Foxey Lady.
Yea it's enhanced uitilizing the audio from two live performances but it's a good blend and sounds amazing.@@swankmotee
Why is there audio footage playing along to 'Foxey Lady' and 'Wild Thing'?
That's what I'm wondering.
Having his amps turned up to full gain made them sensitive to the feedback that he manipulated so masterfully but they also picked up radio signals and static interference into the bargain.
Does anyone know the Date and Location of this concert?
The Olympic Auditorium
1 person is not enlightened yet.
Aux yetis
This is a downgraded version of this clip. There are much better audio and video versions.
