Dr Brian May , Knighted by King Charles , Astrophysicist, Roger Taylor, Dental-Biology. Freddie, Graphic designer. John Deacon , electrical engineer. Those are our Queen boys.💝
The harmonies on this song are outrageous. Roger (drums) and Brian (guitar) are both lead vocalists in their own right and have both done lead with Queen and in their solo careers. The thing is, when you have Freddie Mercury to sing lead, you might as well go with him, he will always be the greatest. Freddie is singing harmonies along with the rest of them on this studio version as well as covering the lead vocals. That is the beauty of multi-tracking even back then. Even live, Queen was just the four of them and their harmonies were fantastic. in later live shows, Spike Edney (a multi-instrumentalist) would do some of the piano work so Freddie could stay up front. Queen doesn't have any bad songs because all four were songwriters so when it came time to put together an album, they always had several times the songs that could possibly fit. They may cover a genre that you don't like but even then, the writing, instrumentation and vocals will still be something you would have to accept as top notch. I prefer live for most Queen songs perhaps because of their energy on stage but their studio stuff is perfection because each of them is a perfectionist.
Spike also added backing vocals and rhythm guitar, depending on the songs - mostly in the 2nd hour during the Magic tour (1986), when he would really step out of the shadows and interact more directly with the guys. John and Spike got along particularly well, from what I’ve heard.
Queen's "worse songs" are musical adventures that are unique to their sound and are still magic to the educated Queen's fan ears. Which are billions worldwide. Make your own conclusions.
@@lynnhoffmann247 Notice I said among. Cause we'd be here all day. If I listed them all. 70s era Chicago, Jethro Tull, Traffic, Cream, The Eagles, Blue Oyster Cult, Humble Pie, & The ones who stated it all. The Beatles. I rest my case.
They are famous for their harmonic - and multitracking - so now you must react to the live version from Montreal 1981 - their conviction was that if you want the version from the album - you can buy that - - so they made dirrerent interpretations live. Another MUST is Bohemian Rhapsody - the studio version - it is not possible to do the whole part live.
He’s also the guy on the piano. That’s the one and only, the greatest Freddie Mercury.

They all could play multiple instruments and all wrote #1 hits and are all in the Songwriters Hall of Fame 🔥🔥🔥
Queen live or studio doesn't matter, both are fantastic.
It's worth pointing out that they are all singing into ONE microphone, no mixing desk involved, just pure talent

You should listen to Queen with headphones or earphones. It adds to the experience greatly.
¡Cierto! Yes!
Almost a necessity with the QUEEN the GOAT
Speaking of managers, listen to their studio version of “Death On Two Legs” which is one of the earliest diss songs!
The drummer and lead guitar players (Roger Taylor and Brian May) both have several solo albums.
Great reaction really enjoyed it ! More Queen pleaset
Great rection, now you really need to see the performance of this song at Milton Keynes Bowl 1982 - different again and will blow you away :)
They put on the best show on live; they stole the show
This song in Milton Keynes is extremely good. Freddie sings it in a blues style. It’s very good.
Yes, I agree
Queen, Rush, Led Zep, are among the best at what they do. Musicianship off the charts.
You forgot Pink Floyd 😊

@@KelliViti I wasn’t implying those four bands were THE best of the era. Just threw another one out there. 🙃
