- This documentary shows how a city like Bangalore, a city in the southern state of Karnataka,India needed a new airport. Tthis documentary shows how an airport is built from scratch and what are the difficulties faced by various teams and people. BIAL is India's first Greenfield airport built on PPP basis. As of June 2017 the airports majority stakeholder is FAIRFAX who own 48% of the airport. The airport started operations on 24th May 2008.
PS-The video is atleast 5 yrs old.
And today, the Terminal 2 has been inaugurated. Brilliant growth in just 13 years.
I was born 88years back l remember Bengaluru from my middle school days. We were taken to Air craft co run your an American co Headed by one man by name Hotaco if remember correctly by the school,to show one war plane which was stationed.Now when I saw this video can you imagine my thrill!

Horrible parking space. Instead of having a large space they could have built a vertical covered parking space inside a building. Horrible design, it’s just a normal airport.

Shut tf up, cuz I've been to the airport n number of times, inclusive of 8 flights, and others for just Planespotting, and I don't find a f*** wrong there. I was really comfortable wid the parking space...

This is actually 2008 design. Now, the terminal has almost completely changed After expansion in 2013 :)
