Bonjour J ai un Ordi ACER W10 Z3-710-013(modele francais) depuis 3 ans et qui est identique a ce modele Acer 700G presente dans cette video il fonctionne tres bien par contre il ne possede que 4 GO de ram Grace a cette super video je comprends la methode pour l ouvrir et avec l acces aux barrette de RAM Je voudrais donc augmenter la memoire ram pour passer a 8 go ou plus le maximum rst 16go la memoire compatible est : DDR3 1.5V et DDR3L 1.35V 1333/1600 SoDIMMs j ai trouve ce modele qui semble compatible sur amazon :Crucial CT102464BF160B 8Go (DDR3L, 1600 MT/s, PC3L-12800, SODIMM, 204-Pin) Mémoire de Crucial qui coute environ 50 euros Par contre si j achete cette barrette de 8GO et ce que la barrette de 4 GO d origine je peux la laisser et ainsi avoir 12 GOde RAM? Ou me conseillez vous plutot de mettre que la nouvelle de 8GO ou carrement en acheter 2 identiques de 8go pour avour 16GO de RAM? Merci pour vos avis
Bonjour, cet ordinateur n’utilisera que 8 gigaoctets de RAM. Si vous installez plus de 8, il ne s'allumera pas. Vous pouvez utiliser deux bâtons de 4 gigaoctets ou un seul bâtonnet de 8 gigaoctets. Si vous achetez 4 autres clés, vous devez vous assurer que les numéros de fréquence et de latence correspondent. Merci.
I did a video on this last year, you really don't have to remove the DVD drive. You just have to remove the face plate and the backing will come off! Just my 2 cents worth. Informative video though.
Whenever cracking ANY system open to do maintenance or upgrades as is in this case, ALWAYS carefully inspect and clean the cooling fan & heat sinks. Cool, GOOD, Hot, BAD... :) Make sure it spins freely and all parts are as clean as possible. Upgrading this or any other PC with multiple memory slots, it is ALWAYS better to populate all the memory slots, so in this case installing an additional "matching ' 4gb memory chip would have been a better choice since it enables "dual channel" operation functionality of the board splitting up the processing lanes which is is faster than using a single memory lane, not to mention cheaper. The only time I would only install a single chip during a memory upgrade would if I was installing faster memory that the board would support ( or it was a FREE chip) and in this case if I was installing memory I'd spring the few extra bucks to populate both memory slots. It's always better to have all slots populated with matching chips (dual channel)... Additionally, since this is only a Celeron Processor that is "soldered" and non-upgradable, this would have definitely been the time to replace the HDD & upgrade with a SSD! The performance increase is dramatic and you might want to consider upgrading the DVD/CDROM burner with a real Blu-Ray Burner and this system would be "maxxed out" and be about 5 times faster than before the upgrade. Other than those oversights, great video! Well done.

This video was super helpful. Thanks! Having trouble with adding the second stick of RAM. I have an old acer with the same RAM. I can use the one from this PC or the other Acer and they work ALONE but they will not work together. It seems that the lower slot does not recognize either RAM and refuses to even boot the PC. This computer has literally been used just 2 days in its history so it doesn't make sense that it wouldn't work. Any ideas? Thanks again!
IT is more than likely because they have different frequency or latency ratings. You have to look at the sticker on the ram and make sure the info matches. If you try to run it in the lower mount, it will not boot. That is for the second channel ram only. IF the frequency of one is not one that is recognized by the board, then it will not boot. If you are trying to use more than 8gb in this board, it will not boot. There is the possibility too that one of the Dims is bad. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks.
A quick question, I decided to experiment and swap one ram stick from one slot to the other and my pc doesn’t seem to boot from this. Could it be the slot because I’m afraid if I buy another stick of ram, it won’t work. Or should I stick to going with 1x8gb?
The RAM module has to be in the first slot if it is being used by itself as a single channel set up. You only use the other in duel channel mode. If you want two RAM modules in the duel channel, then buy a matching set or be very sure to buy the exact same module as the one you have now. Using two, even if it is the same amount of RAM, will improve you system. It limits the bottle neck issues that come from only one module.
Terry Breitmeyer --Well, notably double. Most people dont realize that win10 64bit takes just under 4gb ram to initialize and run in its factory settings. That means no proper adjustments to optimize win10. So with out the upgrade you will not be able to do much besides office work or some youtube streaming. So for cost and functionality it is definatley worth it. I also cloned my HDD on to a Samsung 840 EVO SSD. Then added the original HDD as my file storage drive. The original HDD sits inside an external hdd caddy attached to the back of the PC via a USB3 cable. You can trick the smaller 'C' drive into thinking its bigger than it is by creating a directory to the old hdd through the New SSD. This will allow all new apps and software to store to the bigger back up drive but have the OS think it is on it so it will boot the programs. Its a pretty neat way around expensive larger SSD drives. Now the PC starts up from an off status to full boot in about 10 seconds. Shuts down in about 5 sec.
Dont be scared to try things. It is rather simple once you get going with it. Just go easy as you separate the case back and just follow my lead in the video. Once inside it's easy. Dont force anything. It's all designed to come apart easy.

Yes, it may. I showed this method so that it reduces the risk of breaking the tabs on the disk face. Once broken, it will not stay on. You can almost guarantee you wont find a replacement. Thanks for the reply.
Hello Tom, good question. First we need to understand that an All In One PC is basically a laptop configuration. The internal components are that of a standard laptop. With any laptop, there. Is not a stand alone GPU. It will always be integrated in the mother boards chip sets. You will have 3 main chips. The CPU, the GPU, and the audio. So the GPU is part of the mother boars on any laptop or all in one PC. Hope this helps.
You could, however use an external GPU that connects to the wifi card slot set up, you'll then need to use a wifi USB or LAN connection to connect to the internet.
You have changed the boot order inside the bios. You have to put it back in order. You may have changed the bios to UEFI instead of Legacy and it is trying to do a PXE boot.
I did not put that in the video because each computer will be different. The only thing that is the same is the form factor. It uses PC3 RAM which is DDR3 for laptops. You have to source out more RAM that matches yours. I recommend buying a married pair. Thank you
Hi, great question. So the RAM in this type of PC is called PC3. An all in one PC is basically a laptop build. A desktop RAM module is a bigger form factor. The two are not interchangable even tho they do the same job. RAM in the all in one is PC3 and in the desktop it is called DDR3.
Shawn Zeao - should be fine. The difference between the 1R and the 2R is the 1R only has chips on one side and the 2R has them on both sides. The 2R just doesnt work as hard. So place the 2R on the top/primary slot.

Tip for RAM - go to crucial.com in a browser on the machine you want RAM for, and it'll tell you what's in there, what the max is, and what their product is. You can then head across to Amazon or wherever and source it.
Hi, thanks for the post. In my experience, you can never go by a model number to order boards and components. You could work on 100 of these and see 20 different boards. Even more so with RAM. Never go by those sites, always open you machine and varify your part. Unless you want to play the parts return relay game with the supplier.
Did you check the ram card in you pc? the one I have here is 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S-11-13-B4. It is labeled as a "1R" but this is actually a 2R. Works either way.
My computer is the same model without the "G" (ZC-700) and the processor is Intel Celeron J3160 and I want to upgrade RAM. Will it be the same process? And the same RAM model?

You can work without it. You just need to be careful and make sure you keep touching the case. It's just more risky.
you can make one with a cable, tape and an aligator clip.

The last portion of the ID isnt so important. What you need to match up is the PC3L-12800S.
