Hey dude, greetings from Bonnie Scotland! Great clean tone through your blues deluxe! The pedal sounds pretty brilliant too. Magic playing dude! Keep up the amazing content on your channel! 🤘🏻😎👍🏻
I have a tip for you and your other viewers. I recently bought an oceanverb pedal on ebay and when I turned it on the LED was so bright it was literally blinding and affected my sight for a few minutes and had horrific glare so I couldn't see the pedal properly. the tip is to take some 1000 grit wet n dry, 1cm square will do, pinch it over the LED and rub it round the LED. it'll frost the surface, kill glare and make the LED just glow nicely.
For me, it is a good pedal. I like an all spark in front on low boost to open it up a bit. the dual sides work well independently and together. right side with the tone more to the left sounds great and bluesy left side is more distinct and sharper and when the gain is right up can be very cutting. depending on the type of sound you want, you can set both sides up individually for different tones and combined you get a third. 3 pedals effectively in 1. I would say that it isnt as dynamic as the sweet cream from tonecity but is still great. thanks for sharing
I saw this in the KOT comparison video by that pedal show. I thought this was the closest they got to any of the dual overdrives they were comparing to the KOT. They really brushed over it though. Would love to see you do an unbiased comparison with the KOT on this pedal Shane.
I assume it runs right to left (like KoT)? So can you set the left side to be a clean boost as well? That's how I use my KoT. OD on the right for the base tone, then stomp the left side too get a little more volume and EQ narrowing for solos.
I was checking the order on mine today. On mine it appears to run Left to Right. I figure this because, with both sides ON, raising the Volume control on B gives a lot more distortion than raising Volume A. This suggests to me that the output from Volume B is being fed into the Gain stage of Channel A . That's been my logic thus far. Having just learned of the Klon/820 similarities for B and A, I will be doing some more comparisons with other clones I have that I already know the equivalence of.
I think many middle pickups are very finicky on strats, such that they are either not punchy in the mids enough for leads or too shrilly for anything else. A good set of Strat pickup can really give you a very usable middle pickup, just probabaly dont mix it with mid heavy rhythm sound. Also find it helpful to just wire the tone to the bridge instead of the mid.
You’re demos are the best, I’m looking for a good blues pedal, something full and somewhat creamy. I wasn’t happy with the Ts9 tube screamer, I thought it just boosted the volume and was thin and too trebly. Any suggestions, thanks.
Look at the "Fuzz" on the top right side of the pedal at 3:05 . That pedal's got some hair on her. lol . The close up also shows a lil dirt as well. Musta been planned.
MiniMations I thought I saw somewhere today when I was looking at some Tone City reviews that Shane sells them but don't quote me on that I'm not 100% sure
a good bedroom pedal, if u have time to play with the all the knobs- I like to set n forget- gaffer tape any dials- my vote goes to Boss Blues pedal- simple- set n forget. Would also give thumbs up to the Mosfet Fulltone which provides a simple 3 way switch for different timbres- its all about set n forget for playin live. Plus the demo pedal doesnt produce a variety of timbres- even the later TS9 does a better job there. But, there's no accounting for taste- its what sounds best to each individual player.
B has a fatter sound and the tone control centres around a different frequency. The Gain on the two channels is different also. There IS a point in the settings where they sound almost the same but away from that crossing poiny they behave quite differently.
Engine A and Engine B? LOL, how generic. They fell a bit short on imagination on that part. The pedal sounds OK. They have other pedals that are a lot better.
seriously? who needs an OD with 6 knobs? aint nobody got time for that! Just get a good tone and stick a boost in front of your amp the rest is in your fingers
Serious? who needs knobs on a guitar.. like just play a acoustic. .. no wait just sing and pretend your a guitar! Wait just give up on life all together lol

No problems - 1 per week is enough. :-)

I dab some of my gf black nail polish over these fuckin led's. Makes it look like an eye
You tore up "who did you think I was" great job! Awesome clean tone too!
Own it, love it, it's my stand alone OD.
Ino this comment is really late but...
Producer: How much green screen do you want?
Shane: Yes
I just bought this and 3 of the other Tone City dual button pedals from Andertons. Sitting here with a big cheesy grin on my face 😁

Sounds good. Nice & crunchy. Good for blues and rock and some funk. It sounds better than a crappy tube screamer for sure.
i love and own this pedal. for the money its brilliant value. i use channel A as a clean boost and channel B as the overdrive.
Great review
Great pedal
Great playing
I’m probably gonna get this soon. I’ve heard similar pedals and this is the best in my opinion.
Dang, awesome tones there Shane! Gotta love bluesy strat tones.
It would be cool to compare side by side with KoT ... what do you think of this ?;)
Pedal sounds so good . I might get one tomorrow if I'm lucky
really cool pedal. groovy playing..great video.

I was blown away by how close it was to the KoT and mick was like "eh its alright for a cheap PoS". Baffled.
That pedal looks fantastic dang, I don't gas for pedals generally but I think I need this in my life lol
I use a crazy cacti pedal as a booster but could see this replacing that.
Man,that thing is a killer.
It would have been nice to hear the gain turned up to 3 o’clock and max on both channels to compare and hear what it sounded like.
Isn't this the same as joyo king of king?
Excelent! Great job!
Sounds sweet !
People say "Sounds good for the price"! No, it sounds good!

It’s the Modtone Dirty Duo
If you buy 2 Tone City pedals from Andertons you get a free power supply and daisy chain. I'm picking up this and the Model M on payday 😀
Clean tone? 🤔
He starts out with the clean tone
Why does everyone skip the middle pickup, man thats srv territory !
David Russell Agree. I love the middle pickup position on a Strat. I seem to recall that Robin Trower does as well!

Is it at all like the Tone City Sweet Cream?
Do you find this pedal to be more for single coils?
Hey great playing. Can you compare king of blues and royal flush by your experience?
is this their take on a King of Tone I'm guessing? how would you compare them
Good pedal at a good price
Hey Shane, how does this compare to the Royal Flush? It would be great if i can have your opinion on this. Thanks
Would you say it's pretty King of Tone-esque?
Yep.
You’re demos are the best, I’m looking for a good blues pedal, something full and somewhat creamy. I wasn’t happy with the Ts9 tube screamer, I thought it just boosted the volume and was thin and too trebly. Any suggestions, thanks.
Get off his dick! Hes just a common bloke who is a good guitarist

Hello. Engine A sounds like a od820 or a Klon?
Is nice!
Great review. Sounds great for the price.
Hey Shane! where can you get these tone city pedals is AUS? Thanks!
MiniMations I thought I saw somewhere today when I was looking at some Tone City reviews that Shane sells them but don't quote me on that I'm not 100% sure
I would paint it over with purple paint haha
irado
1:08. You suggested to copy analogman king of tone?! Lol
This pedal didn’t get it’s day in court, in my opinion. 5:36
AYYEEE YOU LIED TO ME. You told me you weren't going to make anymore reviews from Tone City!!
Marcus Pintor I didn't get this from tone city I got this from my friend Brian. Didn't expect to demo any more of their stuff
And now they’re $50. Yay!

I prefer the Model M.
Joyo king of kings is way better and you get the clip switches for many different tones.
KoT clone it seem, but probably much mure attainable
Not a bad pedal, but couldn't really hear any real difference b/w ch a & ch b!
B has a fatter sound and the tone control centres around a different frequency. The Gain on the two channels is different also. There IS a point in the settings where they sound almost the same but away from that crossing poiny they behave quite differently.
Incomplete review You never turned the gain up pass 2 o clock never went to max gain on either side........
Thats one fuzzy pedal
Engine A and Engine B? LOL, how generic. They fell a bit short on imagination on that part. The pedal sounds OK. They have other pedals that are a lot better.
DiMo28 the Model M, V and Golden Plexi sound great
seriously? who needs an OD with 6 knobs? aint nobody got time for that! Just get a good tone and stick a boost in front of your amp the rest is in your fingers
Serious? who needs knobs on a guitar.. like just play a acoustic. .. no wait just sing and pretend your a guitar! Wait just give up on life all together lol
You need knobs to tune it to your guitar, amp and personal taste. Then you use your fingers!
I believe the right channel emulates a Marshall Bluesbreaker Mk 1 pedal rather than a TS.
