This TH-cam video should be designated a world heritage video and preserved/archived for posterity. Kudos to Mr. Neeraj Kelkar for creating it and for bringing better awareness of a bonafide genius like Mr. Kersi Lord!
Calling Kersiji a legend is just an understatement. I would call him a phenomenon ,which just happened. Within his life span he has accomplished so much that other musicians will need 10 lifetimes to be anywhere near the lord. There are many examples of he being a genius , but I always get mesmerized with one of his creation for the great Madan Mohanji ,which was the song Tum Jo Mil gaye Ho from the movie Haste Jakhm. The arrangement of that song is a masterpiece in Bollywood film industry. May his soul rest in peace.....
Today's songs have max shelf life of 4-5 months. However, right from 40s to 90s the songs these legendary musicians have made are simply perpetual. Even today these songs sound so fresh. Their melody and music, enters the heart and refuses to go away. This music will outlive us.
Kersi and RD - the two absolute geniuses who came together by the grace of the Almighty and created music that we still listen to. I somehow cannot get out of listening to RD and watching this programme, you get a sense of the great team he put together and stretched them to think beyond the "blinders"
And Sachin Dev Burman too. Refer to roop Tera mastana video of his. He states that Rahul Dev Burman was not present in the recording studio for that song.
Sachin Dev Burman is the king of melody. Rahul Dev Burman is the king of rhythm. Long live the kings of Indian music. May people listen to your music for many many years.
16 October 2016 Sir Kersi Lord RIP May your tribute ,dedication and musical skills never be forgotten in India and around the world, thank you for all happy moments if i think about you and the love you shared in the music and in private...India lost a great meastro, arranger composer, conductor and Bollywood era legendary musician..raised by the Lord
What a feeling it must have been in those music rooms with R.D. Burman, Manohari Singh, Basu Chakraborty, Bhanu Gupta, Marutirao Keer and Kersi Lord, just imagining it gives me goosebumps!
Kersi Lord ji was THE man. Inka contribution was vast. Shukar hai yeh sab TH-cam par hai, so that thousands and thousands can get to know and hear about him. Thank you for sharing 👌
wow fantastic video of one of the greatest and highly creative musician the legendary SHRI KERSY LORD who played a huge role in some of the BIGGEST HIT SONGS OF BOLLYWOOD OVER 40 YRS THKS FOR THIS WONDERFUL CLIP ON THIS GREAT SOUL
This is all just too overwhelming.. Without even being born that time, I am missing all that.. leaves me restless, longing and yearning for those times..
Just an amazing and superb documentary on the Genius musician and music composer, arranger Kersi Lord. Thank you to the makers. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. ❤👍👌
Kersi was sheer genius. He was a marvelous gentleman, very down to earth and humble like his father. We lost one of the best arrangers a few years back. Kersi revolutionized music with his own creative style. One good example is the songs of Saathi......I lost a very good friend in his passing away.... RIP Kersi. Very well made documentary........ warm regards 😊 Dr Ashok Patnaik
God bless - what a talented, sincere and straight forward man! Thanks for highlighting the contributions of people who work silently in the background.
Very serene listening to such legends We lack this naturalness now.Music is not a part of hush hush world. Now in present times its not music its noise
The Godfather of music - Today i have learnt so much just by listening to Kersiji - You are magnificient in what you do - All the beautiful sounds that you have produced for all music directors is truly amazing - Thank you Dada - We love you
In Upanishad it has been stated - "Shabda Bramha". Sound is the signature of the supreme creator. And here he has created the "sounds". Our Lord. Kersi. 💐
This is one of the best videos seen. All positive and good vibrations and thoughts. We also learn so much. Yes,' if we break rules without knowing them, we break ourselves' Oh what a good lesson for life it is. Coming from a good heart and a life time of reflection! Great attistes are great human beings first.Very grateful for this.
Legend is an indeed understatement. Thanks to the video creator.Grew up listening to all these songs and music which is part of our being.Mr Lord has strode across generations he is indeed a treasure chest.
Musical genius he was. What a shame that he was never given due credit on screen. The credits of Shalimar are shown in this documentary. His name is amongst the minor contributors. The singers, lyricist and music director are given full screen credits in large letters.
A fitting tribute to a true innovator in film music. At least , we could sense the sea change that came over hindi film music in late 60 & early 70s with the likes of RD Burman , LP and now we know that Kersy Lord's contribution to this change was seminal. A True legend in his own right.
aap ka pura video dekha r d burman ke saath aap ka yogdaan ka pata chala aap ko koti koti namaskar bhagwan aap ko lambi umar de swast de sangeet premi aap ko kabhi nahi bhula payega
they did everything at a time when sounds triggered from computers weren't present & their dedication & expertise's a text book left for us - namaskar kersi saheb from my heart
Wow! What a great documentary made by Neeraj Kelkar Sir to highlight such a tremendous personality! It's a pity that these personalities always remain behind the screen, just like Chick Chocolate! He (Kersi Lord) was such a jazz drummer to the finest extent, musician as well as arranger of the first water, and still is lesser known to the world! Kudos to HIM.
so much depth, knowledge and insight into the notes and how the arrangement is made. Nowdays such arrangers dont even have time to give such interviews. such people were way ahead of their times like he says....i always wanted to try something different. Also Lord gives due credit to so many unheard names like "this was a very good saxophonist, he was a good guitar player"..................and MD's like RD always supported this and wanted to try something different....................Homi Mullan also helped RD to create some great effects RD tried the glass thing in chura liya .....the thunder effect in "bheegi bheegi raaton mein".. pedal matka effect scratching noise effect by rubbing sandpaper in "hoga tumsa pyara kaun" th-cam.com/video/3aPwD6K2x1I/w-d-xo.html
Ek gana bana ne ke liye kitne taklife uthani padti hai. .k c ji really you are God's Man other technical things we do not understand .try so much for information. Regards

It’s a real honour to know him personally. Truly a great human being.
