WOW... this is "old" school "BEAUTIFUL"... both Orchestra and wonderful soloist! Such WONDERFUL rubato singing... And abandonment full of passion...! I can't say enough... Unfortunately, we don't hear music making like this any more, or should I say not as often as I would hope... at least not in the states... just fast and faster...
Horowitz was probably the greatest pianist that ever lived.He did not play the 1st Concerto however and to me watching this beautiful German lady pour her heart and soul into this 19th century masterpiece is unforgettable.
Or #4 either! The genius that he was, why would he shun these masterpieces? And deny Rachmaninoff the support an endorsement by Horowitz would have provided?

Einfach faszinierend! Wunderbare Künstlerin! Grandioses Stück , was braucht man mehr zu musikalischem Glück!!!!
