    The lane keep assist is insane on this thing like for real it blew me away. It literally keeps the car dead center even in pretty good turns. Basically drives itself.

    It has 7 simulated gears. The car actually has a CVT, which makes the paddles more of a gimmick than anything else. But its probably more fun than nothing and is good for snow and steep hills

    I got to say I have daily driven Honda Accords for over 20 years. Never once have I (in the past) said "wow look at that civic". Up till the 11th gen the Civic has been boring looking (minus the Type-r). But last week while shopping for a 2022 Honda Accord, I had to test drive the 2023 Civic Sport. Short story, now I am looking at a 2023 Honda Civic Sport Touring (Hatch) to replace my 9th gen Accord.
    The RPM think, never noticed it in the CVT version of the 2023 Civic Sport. Maybe it's just the Manual version?
    Great job Honda, the tech in the Civic has surpassed my expectations for a commuter car. Looking forward to driving my new Civic soon.

    i came from a 2021 Honda Accord 2.0 Sport so naturally once the new civic came out i wanted the touring trim. I am glad i did not make that choice. The touring trim is 30 grand and for that price you can just buy an accord which is obviously a better car all around. I would never pay 30 grand for a civic anyways unless its a type R or something. The touring trim is ugly and has grandma looking rims and chrome accents on the side with chrome on the rims as well. I hate chrome. The sport looks sick as hell the way it looks. That naturally aspirated 2.0 engine does got a little kick to it. Its more then enough power for sure. For the price point its a steal. So now i have my 2022 civic sport in white pearl and i love it so much. Best decision no regrets. Great video by the way.

    • @TruckLifeProductions
      @TruckLifeProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats on your purchase and I agree that the touring model isn’t that great looking. Most definitely for the price the sport model accord is an all around better car and looks better vs the touring model civic. That being said you can absolutely get a sport model civic for 6-7k less and it’s a hell of a steal. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy your new purchase!!

    • @kaceydillin7367
      @kaceydillin7367 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel you on the Touring. Like for the price, why not just get an Accord? Crazy thing is, I saw a 2 year old one for 50K and it had 10K miles…..it sold 3 days later. I have a 2018 1.5t Accord Sport. Love it. I wouldn’t mind getting a new one, so probably will wait until this madness dies down.

      @kaceydillin7367 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Rip84LW I looked into it. I live in Texas. Heated seats would be nice maybe 1 day a year. Worse gas mileage, but more power? For me, the 2.0 isn’t worth it.

    • @Rip84LW
      @Rip84LW 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kaceydillin7367 the 2.0 accord is an amazing car. Honestly the gas is a non issue. it does great on gas for the engine it has. i never had a problem with it when i had mine when it came to gas. The heated seats felt so good on those winter days. The power is a night and day difference compared to the 1.5 i had. Its fast as hell and super fun to drive. but in my opinion now is not the time to buy an accord because the all new re designed accord is about to show itself. We are due for a new accord very soon. I say in about a year or less. Its coming.

  • @tahj677
    @tahj677 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I was looking at the Civic sport also. Then I discovered that it doesn't have heated seats or a moonroof and it also has less horsepower than the EX and Touring. The sport should have the same horsepower as the upper trims if you asked me. 😬🙄

  • @JasonPrice1
    @JasonPrice1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have a Touring but regardless, the infotainment and driver cluster in the new Civic is a truly massive upgrade over the GenX.
    I also recently had a Mazda CX-9 for a rental and there is no contest between the instrumentation and infotainment controls in that vs the Civic even in full touring trim. Our 2020 Touring CR-V was also more than a match in daily function and intuitiveness compared to the Mazda.
    I am sure that you will find more and more that you really like Honda.
    Oh and the vented disk brakes in the front is standard on basically all Hondas for a very long time. They are only solid disk in the rear as most braking in any vehicle is done using the front brakes and not the rear. (Most systems are 70/30 bias)

    I’m not positive but I’m like 99% certain that the transmission has a built in safety when you’re in the sport mode and start to use the paddles that it automatically will change back in to auto without you having to change the modes again if you don’t upshift for like 2-3 seconds maybe a little bit more to ensure there is no damage to it for running at such a high rpm for that gear. Other than that a decent video. Love the car but I definitely would have gone with the sonic grey pearl color with a black interior if I was getting one

    • @TruckLifeProductions

Due to computer error the electric parking brake locked up my rear tires while I was driving it. My civic had 16,000 miles on it. Honda techs said they couldn't fix it. Honda customer service said it was fixed and refused to do anything for me so I had to get rid of the car to get rid of this problem. I'm thankful for TH-cam so I can warn people about Honda.
