I'm using 12ga for the bigger power lines, 14ga or even 16ga would work unless you running a lot of lights. The signal wire can be any size 22ga, 26ga work fine.

How much amps is that relay

The relay in the video is 30amps but you can buy whatever you need. It would take a lot of LED's to get over 30amps.
