Upon installing a new irrigation system to the orchard, I realized the hose spigot was leaking. This is how I repaired the PVC Pipe to hose spigot www.gosierrafoothills.com
Matt if you need any plumbing tips please dont hesitate to ask. Heres a few tips. No black iron on potable water. Plastic treading into metal Chamfer the pvc pipe after you cut it, it helps the glue bond better. Went from fishermans life to the diy life. Keep up the content 👌🏼
Awesome. I just ran 150ft PVC from the well to an area I wanted water. I kept brass with brass. I would also recommend getting a longer PVC and keeping the couplers to a minimum. More room for failure. I would attach that PVC to a 2x4 pressure treated. My case I used a left over 4x4 dug into the ground. Keeps the pipe sturdy. Then used clamps to attach. I also wrapped it with black insulation to avoid some freezing. Looking forward to more!
Good to see you Matt, I see you been busy with your Homestead. For sure when owning your own home now, you become a plumber, carpenter, electrician, and anything else you gotto do to save some money. Anyways stay safe and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas
Already hook up with fishinh chnnl but here im also your 18k+ subscriber Glad to see how youtube can bring change to someone's life. More power to you brother 💕💕
I love your explanations, man, so clear and easy to follow 😊 BTW, I would also add the 2x4 bit to it so that it doesn't break or bend if you pull hose too hard or hit with something.
Those gate valves make for terrible hose bibs. I changed all my outside outlets to ball valves years ago and I haven’t replaced a single one yet. Easier to turn on as well, just a half turn and it fully on. Also I second the other guy about using dissimilar metals. Always use a brass nipple to a brass fitting.
Wow that's cool replacing his PVC pipes I think the last one is called a reducer adapter I think anyway I'm one of the first ones to watch your videos🎉,👊👍🤙
Hi from mike A from LA CA. IM GLAD your posting content. This wasnt exactly what I wanted to see. What ID rather see is some fishing hiking camping and through in some cactch and cook. On your last episode You said your opening some camp sites or something like that. You showed your cabins that you were going to open up for overnight stays . are they open yet. And do you have a camp sight to camp in.

It's a good idea to not mix dissimilar metals because it can cause galvanic corrosion
