I totally agree on your no kid wedding. I have kids and love kids however they don't have to be at every adult event. You were so nice to have a sitter at your wedding. I remember a young boy (relative) literally climbing under my wedding dress!
My nephew to be has autism. He was about 6 years old when I married my husband. I’m walking down the aisle at an evening wedding, when he yells, “MOM! I GOTTA POOP!” There is a great picture of me cracking up in the aisle and my hubby and I look back on it fondly!
I love your personality, your honesty is so refreshing. I help friends declutter and I tell them just put everything on the bed!!! When you sat on the bed and all your “crap” was behind you, I felt your pain. “I need more coffee “!!!! Watching you remind me why it’s sooooo worth the effort😊❤️😊!!!
Ahh the middle school journal. I reached an age where all that kind of stuff went. Probably in my 40’s. I started thinking that when I died I didn’t want my kids reading through things like that without me here to put it in context.
I was thinking if she didn’t want to read it, definitely throw it out cuz you probably don’t want anyone else to either. I’m going to search for mine! 😮
I'm very impressed! Great job on decluttering and having empty drawers is a great feeling. Always nice to go through stuff and get rid of things you don't use anymore. Congratulations on 100k!!!!
It's always so satisfying to see all the empty drawer after you declutter. I have to do this stuff too, I'm moving soon and definitely have things that don't need to come with me!
I’m keeping my old ipods: they gave me so much joy they deserve family status. (They’re also small enough to give them space. Every time I see it itgives me good feelings.)
As a mom with a 13, and 9 year old who had aspirations to make shadow boxes, now I'm glad I didn't. After about age 6-7 they had opinions of what decor they had in their rooms displayed. Now the 13 year old finds me silly to hold on to her first pair of ballet slippers and leotard I dreamed of displaying in her pink room. I've saved "special" items for my sake, but with no expectations they will one day want to hang on to them and display in their home. ✌️😊
She is too young to realize that keeping the first pair of shoes/hair cut, etc it is not being silly but being a loving mom. She will find that out when she becomes one. My daughter is her age. May God bless them. Beautiful video.
I did an “adults only” reception. Haven’t talked to one family member since 🤣 Also, just use the self check out and deposit the change as payment 👍 Love your videos 😘
I literally am donating over 15 bags of clothes blankets comforter kitchen decor rugs pictures bathroom decor a bunch if curtains just things that don’t fit my aesthetic right now and I feel so much better about proud that it’s going to a good place because nothings wrong with it just took up space I could use for other things
I recently went to Michael's and got some pretty trunks (smallish) and am using those for my kids baby things. I want to keep some things for them but know they won't want a ton. Special outfits, hospital things, and then it's a nice piece in their rooms too that we can add special things to as they grow. ❤
I know many have said it, but I'm so glad I'm not alone! 🤭 "Stuff" seems to find its way into every nook and cranny around my house. I hate it when I get stuck and I'm not sure what to do with certain items because I'm afraid if I get rid of it, I'll need it later or that it goes to something and getting rid of it will render (that something) obsolete...ugghhh! I'm glad you seemed to power through it. :: cheer! :: Thank you, Mai, for sharing and being vulnerable. 🌷
I'm happy that you started your channel because you're so enjoyable to watch. The funny thing is my kids are now adults but I enjoy your honesty and respect that you don't show your boys.
I don't have kids, but as a oldest kid of the family, my mum filled my baby book totally full. And my little brothers have baby book with a few sentences. And what I have talked with my friends, this is a typical pattern. :'D Since you had second child already from the beginning, totally logical that the baby books don't have much in them. ;)
I’m so glad you upload every Monday. I hate Mondays and always around 10am I’ll shout “oh yeah! It’s Mai Monday!” I would put that stethoscope in a dress up box if you have one. Or good for Halloween, or sick days.
My mom and I were at a wedding where the bride and groom had a children’s table. Put 2 tables and chairs, and the teens can help kids paint, draw, magic tricks, mazes,or crosswords and word searches. The table also had balloons. Then at the lunch, the kids could have kabobs,or pinwheel sandwiches. Sharen
I’m doing my bedroom today! And yes it pisses me off too! We are military so we move a lot and I don’t declutter before moving! Thanks for doing this! I love how you talk it out with us!
Thank you for keeping me company while I washed dishes and baby bottles 😊 Bahaha the Pokky break!! Good job again! I'm inspired to tackle our bedroom too... well it's mostly my crap... 😅
Strawberry and chocolate are my favorite. At one point they had a kind called “men’s pocky” which was really just dark chocolate and those were the Best!!!! But they discontinued those 😢 should have kept them and just changed the name cause I remember being a kid and wondering if there were hormones or something in them to make me a man lol
It’s a stethoscope and completely fine for your kids to play with. They are actually really fun and a good learning tool. And I love your videos they are so awesome
Im addicted to watching these. You do such a great job! Btw. We save space with DVDs by organizing them alphabetically in a cd case! Just got rid of the all dvd cases.
A few months ago, I got a mystery package (I still don’t know who from) with 3 marriage books which includes the one you recommended! I’ll start with that one first. Glad you liked it!
Coin machines are still in Walmarts. They take a pretty big cut of the total, though. Best bet is a bank that still has a coin machine to count loose change.
Wow so much stuff Mai but so satisfying to go through it and get it all sorted, I love these type of vlogs 🥰 thank you for sharing, I bet it felt good 👍 🥰🥰 x
Omg..I love your decluttering videos. I would l love to see a whole house follow up on maintaining what you have done. One thing.. you never checked under the bed and you didn't move your husband's nightstand and vacuum.
You did great! And that's called a stethoscope, I wouldn't let the kids play with it cos it could hurt their ears but it could be good to add to your arsenal of medical supplies!
I LOVE AND PREFER DVDS...I think they are so nice and handy. Relying on a bunch of streaming apps is not my thing personally. HAPPY you kept the DVDS, hope you will continue to do that in the future. I am bummed that you didn't hold onto your iPod...no judgement. I had one of those. LOVE this video. You are SO awesome!
Fantasy self..baby books 📚 ugh I too had good intentions to document everything. Fyi my adult daughter is like why did you save all this stuff, what am i supposed to do with it?
Loving your decluttering journey... you inspire me to get real with myself about the crap! I used an app called Qeepsake instead of a baby journal. It sends you questions daily and then you can print the books out. I'm a year behind for printing the books (I've only done 2), but the contents and photos are there for when I get it together. Keep 'em coming!
Love this...very motivated to clean my 'landfill' of a bedroom now, its so bad I sleep on the couch most nights 'so I can sleep closer to my toddler' :)
I started and stopped because I was worried about the same. But you know what, I’m going to just try again 😭 thank you!!! I have EVERYTHING for it already. 🤣🙏🏼
Maybe try giving away things you can't donate, like opened essential oils, there's a lot more people out there who can use things you view as trash. I've just been putting out a box in front of my garage for people to take things, works great! There's also giving pages in Facebook, that would be a much more sustainable option!
I purchase a small yearly binder that’s for bill paying from dollar general. Just stick the bill in each months folder as they come in until you are ready to pay. Also has a spot to write down the bills you have, when they are due and the amount. After they are paid, I just rip them up and throw them away because you can always access them online. Most of mine are payed automatically or online, but you can still keep track of everything😊
I have my lime green iPod nano first gen still and it only works on shuffle lol! The fact that it works at all is something I’m proud of for sure 😂 can’t give that sucker away, too many memories dancing around or listening on the way to school.
Baby books give me so much mom guilt. I have one for each of my boys but they are very minimal. My husband was recently given his and he could have cared less.
Mai, just found your channel and totally binged it. No shame here :) You are such an inspiration and make me laugh throughout! I can totally relate to how you describe your relationship with your husband...I have been married for 14 years and thru so much life stuff (all the stuff that's hard, joyous and mundane) humor has kept us grounded and able to ride out all that life throws our way..P.S I really think you deserve your own show on HGTV; you are so much more relatable... Much love and respect from Seattle!
Banks have coinstar machines you have to use to count the change. Do not roll anything. Also cause it’s the bank’s machine it’s free to use and deposit directly into your account
Great job 👍 For the side tables... IMHO if you like the size and shape Rehab them with a coat of paint that coordinates with that gorgeous green colored tv stand or with the headboard color I sooo love that green piece of furniture and your pretty curtains
I actually have my first iPod too. It still works, and has all my oldschool music on it. The only real reason I keep it is because it was the last Christmas present my mom got me before she got really bad with her cancer and passed that year. (that and it still works haha) Let's see...that would have been 2006 version of the iPod nano in blue. I did buy a charge dock on marketplace for it though, since I couldn't find a charge dock anywhere else and mine didn't work anymore (the cord was lost and the volume button was broke)
These videos are so satisfying!!! I definitely had that iPod but I must’ve donated it at some point! I have a nano still kicking around but I never use it!
Your organization of the drawer inserts at 28:00 is so relaxing to me! it's like tetris, lol! Thank you for this video! Also, where are those two white vases on the nightstand from? Thank you!
I have 5 huge 4" binders of my life curated by a relative. I have no idea what I will do with them. If I was given a baby book I have no idea what I would do with it either. Lots of guilt attached to items like that that clearly took someone A TON of time to make and were made with love, but that mean little to me now. Personally, I prefer digitizing paper things that are super sentimental whether or not I keep them because they're vulnerable to moisture, sunlight, insects, smoke, fire, kids, pets... Can't wait to get my mom's photo collection so I can scan them all and put them on an external hard drive and probably Google Drive as well. She had 15 photo album boxes last time I visited and has since inherited more.
You can for sure make money on old electronics. So many people love vintage stuff like that. I always look on the resale sites to see what they’re going for. Worth a try. But if you I don’t think you’ll get around to do anything just toss it.
I’m rewatching for motivation lol but if it hasn’t been said. We keep all of our movies in those old cd case organizers to just flip through and pick. Also saves space, keeps them safe and easy to move
Love that you keep your children off camera, and protect their privacy
Thanks 😊 they are the most important people in my life and I’ll do anything to protect them 💕
I totally agree on your no kid wedding.
Amen! We had an issue, described above.
I got rid of them too, in my 30s. I feel they served their purpose years ago and can be tossed when ready.
I'm very impressed! Great job on decluttering and having empty drawers is a great feeling. Always nice to go through stuff and get rid of things you don't use anymore. Congratulations on 100k!!!!
The musical instrument with thread and 2 metal plates is called “Manjira”.
We Indians play when we sing our religious songs .
As I sit in my cluttered bedroom...this helped me a ton, so real. Good vibes. You're awesome!
It's always so satisfying to see all the empty drawer after you declutter. I have to do this stuff too, I'm moving soon and definitely have things that don't need to come with me!
“Overall I’m elated to not be sleeping in a landfill anymore” ahahaha

This was the best declutter I ever watched, sooo satisfying and fun! I went on to tackle my own :))
I love these videos! Everytime you post one of these you inspire me to declutter my own area
I let the kids use my old digital cameras when we go places. They have so much fun with them.
I miss my track wheel iPod!! I loved the way you could organize music plus it had some kind of game and I kinda loved the "tiktikitktik" scroll sound.
“I’m a really bad Asian today” hahahaha omg you are hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣 there’s always at least ONE thing you’ll say each video that has me rolling lol
😅😅
I did an “adults only” reception. Haven’t talked to one family member since 🤣 Also, just use the self check out and deposit the change as payment 👍
Love your videos 😘
I do this at Target! 💯
I literally am donating over
15 bags of clothes blankets comforter kitchen decor rugs pictures bathroom decor a bunch if curtains just things that don’t fit my aesthetic right now and I feel so much better about proud that it’s going to a good place because nothings wrong with it just took up space I could use for other things
I'll Take it lol
Those iPods were always one of my favorites!!

19:08 the fact that she kept her childrens baby photos on top of fifty shades of grey 😂😂😂😂😂 I‘m wheezing *chefs kiss* love it
I don't have kids, but as a oldest kid of the family, my mum filled my baby book totally full. And my little brothers have baby book with a few sentences. And what I have talked with my friends, this is a typical pattern. :'D

so much better! love the vacuuming, so satisfying.
When I buy a comforter for my queen’s size bed I get a king size. I like comforter big. Just a thought.
same. plus I have my queen platform bed is on risers.
I’m so glad you upload every Monday. I hate Mondays and always around 10am I’ll shout “oh yeah! It’s Mai Monday!” I would put that stethoscope in a dress up box if you have one. Or good for Halloween, or sick days.
Yes with the cards! I buy multiples at the beginning of every year also gift cards so I always have a quick gift

This is like my "mom room"... Everything somehow ends up in my room. So it's craptacular. Thank you for the inspiration.
It’s a stethoscope and completely fine for your kids to play with. They are actually really fun and a good learning tool. And I love your videos they are so awesome
I have been binge watching many of your decluttering videos. I died when you said "decluttering is starting to piss me off". 🤣🤣
This was so satisfying to watch. Great job!
Im addicted to watching these. You do such a great job! Btw. We save space with DVDs by organizing them alphabetically in a cd case! Just got rid of the all dvd cases.
This is your best video yet! Wow! I needed some motivation! Thanks!
Aww thank you!!!
Oh my God, my first video on ur channel and I just love it! Your english it's so nice to listen and understand! Saying Hi from Brazil here!
Damn girl, You’re awesome AF offering babysitting services at your wedding!!
I love little stories told with honesty, really enjoyed yours. Thank you for sharing, even though it has nothing to do with konmari 😊
"Sleeping in a landfill." Love it! 😄
My 7 year old daughter has my old ipod and she has a kitten speak on it and she loves to play it and she dancing it up
A few months ago, I got a mystery package (I still don’t know who from) with 3 marriage books which includes the one you recommended! I’ll start with that one first. Glad you liked it!

We had a no kid wedding too. Lol. Best decision.
My bed sits nearly right on the floor and is way to heavy for me to lift 😅 but yes totally forgot to move that nightstand!! 😆
Yay!!! They are my favorite videos on your channel!
You did great! And that's called a stethoscope, I wouldn't let the kids play with it cos it could hurt their ears but it could be good to add to your arsenal of medical supplies!
My husband has that same journal! Just found your channel from this video and I love you already!
EXACTLY!!! My clutter pisses me off too!!!
I LOVE AND PREFER DVDS...I think they are so nice and handy. Relying on a bunch of streaming apps is not my thing personally. HAPPY you kept the DVDS, hope you will continue to do that in the future. I love and appreciate your honesty.
Fantasy self..baby books 📚 ugh I too had good intentions to document everything. Fyi my adult daughter is like why did you save all this stuff, what am i supposed to do with it?
Love that scrunchie. I saw something like that on Shark Tank except it's a scrunchie that has a cup cover inside to keep your drink safe at parties.
Loving your decluttering journey... you inspire me to get real with myself about the crap! I used an app called Qeepsake instead of a baby journal. I think the shadow box of baby Memories is a Wonderful Idea. 💙💙💙
I have my lime green iPod nano first gen still and it only works on shuffle lol! The fact that it works at all is something I’m proud of for sure 😂 can’t give that sucker away, too many memories dancing around or listening on the way to school.
WOW what a beautiful desk you have
It looks so good and quiet now.
Baby books give me so much mom guilt. I have one for each of my boys but they are very minimal. My husband was recently given his and he could have cared less.
Could or couldn't?
Love the realness
Mai, just found your channel and totally binged it. No shame here :) You are such an inspiration and make me laugh throughout! "family friends and food are my fuel" haha so cute
I still have my first iPod. I’m watching this a year after you posted it.
Banks have coinstar machines you have to use to count the change. Do not roll anything. Also cause it’s the bank’s machine it’s free to use and deposit directly into your account
Just found you and I am so excited. Awesome video 😎
Great job 👍
For the side tables...
IMHO if you like the size and shape
Rehab them with a coat of paint that coordinates with that gorgeous green colored tv stand or with the headboard color
I sooo love that green piece of furniture and your pretty curtains

A concerning amount of Nic Cage films. Too funny!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
These videos are so satisfying!!! I definitely had that iPod but I must’ve donated it at some point! I have a nano still kicking around but I never use it!
8:37 hahaha you’re talking about an arch 😂 I cracked up at this part. I’m watching this as I declutter and I have those toe separators too 😂
Love it! Now this means I have to work on my bed room too.
Your organization of the drawer inserts at 28:00 is so relaxing to me! it's like tetris, lol!
Thank you for this video! Also, where are those two white vases on the nightstand from? Thank you!
You go girl!!!! So inspired now! 😱
I have 5 huge 4" binders of my life curated by a relative. I have no idea what I will do with them. If I was given a baby book I have no idea what I would do with it either. I highly respect your decision not to film your kids! So many family channels on TH-cam exploit their kids and it’s so wrong
Thank you and I 100% agree
Thank you. I decluttered and cleaned my master bathroom while you did your room
You can for sure make money on old electronics. So many people love vintage stuff like that. I always look on the resale sites to see what they’re going for. Worth a try. But if you I don’t think you’ll get around to do anything just toss it.
Family, Friends, & Food! 💖 I might attempt an artsy drawing thing for the wall in the style of those Live Love Laugh things.
Girl you could totally get rid of that desk!!
Love your decluttering videos! 😊
I’m rewatching for motivation lol but if it hasn’t been said. We keep all of our movies in those old cd case organizers to just flip through and pick. Also saves space, keeps them safe and easy to move
The way that iPod classic sells for like $200 and then the camcorder and digital cameras, here I am saving up to buy these things !!!!!SCREAM!!!!
Congratulations! On exactly 100k
Thank you!!!
OK ….I don’t know about everyone else but I would love to see that first video you’ve filmed! Please😜
Oh I wish!!! I actually tried to find it after filming this and I couldn’t 😩 sometime in the last 12 years it got lost
Congrats on 100k subscribers.😊💖🙏
I love your de cluttering videos!
The little Slice cutter is also magnetic! I keep mine on my fridge.
New subscriber. Super video, your room looks fantastic and you are a hoot!
