You know, the horror of this game is that it's a real thing. Growing up in a Christian/Catholic home, I lived through this. His thousands of animals, his 10 children, and whatever other wealth he had. He still had his wife and health, but then his health went painfully off. That's quite a start to any story. It was all a test of Job's faith, to see if he was just worshiping because he was wealthy and healthy and with family. His wife said early on "Are you still faithful? Curse God, and die." He said "You speak like a foolish woman" and he refused to curse God. When his health went downhill, he said nothing for about a week, while 3 of his friends sat there with him, also saying nothing. Then he started talking, lamenting. His friends then started speaking, saying "What sin have you committed?" in different ways over and over, in differing ways. Job didn't do anything wrong, though they thought he had. Job was possibly getting salt in open wounds by them accusing him of this (and there were many sores on his body.) I'm not the most clear on all of the details, but it seems Job did do something off-kilter, though it wasn't sinful? At the end of the book, though, he ended up being healed, and he ended up being even more wealthy than he was before, dying as a super old man. The book goes for about 40 or 45 Biblical Chapters. I've gone through it at least twice, but mind you, I don't suppose I'm an expert on the whole book.
I love how this game is in a style of a PS1 game. Even the voice acting was perfectly digitized enough to make it feel exactly like it was made in the 1990s. I can tell the developers worked hard on this to make this a PS1 style horror game.
I don't want to leave any spoilers, but when you finish the game and see the role not-kermit does, it really makes ironic sense that he's a frog. It makes ironic sense that he's a frog, when you read the role that frog like spirits played in the book of Revelations.

Maybe you've played it already, but I'd like to recommend an already-made point-and-click adventure game: DROPSY. I was pleasantly surprised to discover Christianity portrayed legitimately, and as a positive force. The protagonist is bizarre-looking but good-hearted clown. It was a game where instead of thinking, "How do I defeat this guy?" I walked around going, "How can I help this guy?" which feels like a novel mental twist in video games! I agree with you, it'd be nice to see more games that have a positive portrayal of Christianity. KATHY RAIN started out with a positive nod towards religion, at the funeral at the beginning, but then the plot kinda got sidetracked into this cult thing.
I know its been 2 years but I might as well bring it up here. Faith is a great game that uses themes of Christianity in a way that isn’t disrespectful or offensive, it’s actually quite well made.
