      Cat6 is fine for 1GB networks. Cat6a if you ever plan for 10GB.

      Rolando - there's a certificate if you complete the full CCTT training.You can attend one day or both (Copper and/ or fiber days) www.flukenetworks.com/content/certified-cabling-test-technician-training-program

    Will the Qualification Tester work with all the Categories including Cat 8...?

    • @FlukeNetworksVideo
      @FlukeNetworksVideo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will be able to determine if the cable is connected correctly and if it can handle speeds up to 1 Gbps, but can’t tell if the full Cat 8 are supported. For that, you need a certification tool. Thanks for the comment!

    99% of cables are done in 586B

    • @nilpo19
      @nilpo19 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A lot, but not even close to 99%. Virtually every commercial building and all military buildings use 568A.

      @@nilpo19 I think what Mike was referring is prefabricated cables. 568A is used in US government buildings, I don't know if commercial buildings use 568A. 568A wiring is used today for backwards compatibility to old wiring standards for telecommunications. Most home wiring is done using 568B unless AT&T did the install because they stuck with the 568A standard.
