  • I have used this pleasant piece by Donald Callender to debut my new organ. For the concept of building the organ, I have copied from Fred Melink, and am very grateful for the ideas. His original DIY organ presentation is here - • Presentation of my low...
    All of the wood used is recycled so the aesthetic isn't so good, but it is functional.
    Thanks to Qarl Kitty for helping with the score.

    A lovely piece and beautifully played. Grand Orgue has come a long way since I last looked at it.

      Thanks again Markus. This was the start of my console, to which I've since added a third manual. I've got a few more improvements still to add.

    Thanks for playing this, I like the music. I know it is included in the book "Sound the Trumpet" but do you know if it available by itself so I don't need to purchase an entire book?

      Thanks for watching. I did look for the score when someone asked previously, but it appears to be out of print. I have seen the book on eBay in UK, but at a ridiculous price.

    Fantastic piece and exceptionally well played. I can’t seem to find it anywhere, is it known by another name please?

    • @iainsvpo698
      @iainsvpo698  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I am not aware of another name. It was originally published by Lorenz, but I can't find it on their website now. But note they do list another piece by the same composer, and with the same name, which is a different composition, so don't buy it by mistake.

    Where can I buy the sheet music for this song?

      @iainsvpo698  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. Unfortunately I don't think it is possible to buy this sheet music at the moment. It was originally published in an issue of The Organist magazine. Some of his pieces are still available from Lorenz but I could not see this one listed.

    I like the simplicity of this organ hardware. Where are the keyboards sold?

    • @iainsvpo698
      @iainsvpo698  ปีที่แล้ว

      The keyboards are Nektar GX61. Very cheap and work surprisingly well. I strongly recommend them if you are on a tight budget, as I was. If you have plenty of cash, I'd look for something with a nicer feel. But I have seen players vastly more skilled than myself using these Nektar keyboards and sounding great, so they really are good enough.

      Hi, Actually it is not a tablet, but instead a 15.6" touchscreen monitor that is connected to my PC. These monitors are sold for portable use so don't have a cumbersome stand, and seem ideal for virtual pipe organ use.

    Hi, I have a problem. I have a good computer but there are delays with the program. How to deal with this? Regards

    • @iainsvpo698
      @iainsvpo698  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hello. I originally had this issue, when using the built in audio hardware. I tried a separate audio output that had ASIO drivers, and the problem became resolved. You could investigate whether the ASIO for all driver might work with your audio hardware, as this can often reduce the delay significantly.

    Nice sound, for me ,when I use freisach, the sound of the air pump is too loud

    • @iainsvpo698
      @iainsvpo698  ปีที่แล้ว

      In Grand Orgue it is possible to select which ranks are loaded. So you can disable the blower sound entirely. Alternatively you can keep it, and use the rank voicing controls to lower the volume. Either are quite easy to do, but let me know if you need help.
