My favorite classical composer ❤
@Alma Deutscher - How happy would I be to actually hear a symphony you composed! Or even play it in an orchestra...
I saw an interview of her when she was a kid and she was funny, great personality and smart as a whip.
Nothing has changed, she's an absolute delight!
Hopefully, I can get tickets next time she's in the states?
My guess it's pretty hard?
Yes, you have to react within minutes to get hold of a ticket.
You are such a gift
I'd like to meet you in person some day.As a 51 years old pianist who is trying to revive his career you are a source of tremendous inspiration.
Fascinating. I first came across Alma when she teamed up with Amira willighagen to sing one of the Cinderella arias. At about 10 years old. Her talent caused the jaw to drop.
Interesting that she was talking about creating music from city sounds. That has been done before. Kraftwerk playing Autobahn, Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon, has a segment of commuter traffic near the beginning. Then there is Neil Diamond who wrote Beautiful Noise about the sounds of New York. It takes skill to create something pleasant and listenable from such discordant noises, but it can be done.
I'm glad that Alma is having success with her passion, though with it being as strong as it is, combined with her talent, perhaps it was inevitable that it would grow.
I love your muisic.
I know Universal edition from when i was on Rome.
The volume is pretty low in this video... I wish she had a microphone!
When were you born
Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - TH-cam.com/watch?v=ZJPlQQCei3g Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer TH-cam.com/watch?v=KDuEBvbWW0c Good ol' Dan Coates, he'll never steer you wrong. Isn't music like the coolest thing ever? 😢
Christmas - Tchaikovsky - th-cam.com/video/faEUMvuv2M8/w-d-xo.html I asked for Bach's Clavier, Mendekssohn's Leider and Tchaikovsky's Greatest Piano Solos many years ago for Christmas, partly because they all happened to be on sale on Amazon. The Clavier was an enormous struggle, you can see I still struggle with it to this day, the Leider often proves treacherous, but I seem to have more of a knack for Tchaikovsky. I just started looking at this thing a couple days ago. My mom keeps trying to tell me that when I don't change out of my pyjamas and get dressed, it's a sign of decrepitude, mental illness and moral decay. I don't see how it's indicative of anything more than me not planning to leave the house on that particular day. What do you think?
