Thank you, Alexandra. I felt for Queen Margaret as she turned, before leaving the meeting and said 'God save the King', fighting to hold back the tears.

King Frederick’s tears were sweet. I loved the kiss. As Frederick sat, his mother cried. Her son became king, but his father did not get to see it. God bless the royal family.

From what I have read about Queen M's husband, Henrik being jealous of his son, Fredrik I wonder if he (Henrik) would be proud or not of his son or jealous. He insulted his wife the Queen before he died and said he did not want to buried beside her because she did not make him king. He was French . I think Joachim has inherited these traits and his French wife who did not even come to support Queen M. or Fred & Mary, yet is still styled a Princess. Shades of the Duchess of Sussex.

@@kristinedunner988 Prince Henrik had dementia the last year of his life and it was then he desided not be buried besides the Queen. As I understand it he is in a catholic church.
Yes maybee he felt envy of now King Frederik 10., but all was about title. He was prince, but Mary is now Queen (I think it's only in GB that they have the title Queen consort (and prince consort?) but we ofcause do know if it's a Queen Regent or not). The male that married a Queen or a Queen to be don't have the title King or King consort, so to be frank and understand some of what Prince Henrik meant (even if it was a lot of his own personal prowed - and frenchness) it make Queen a flower status then King and it should not. A regent is a regent despice sex. Now I'm so historical intressed so even I would have it hard to call Prince Daniel of Sweden for King in the future.
I'm glad that Queen Margrethe 2., does'nt change her title. She is Queen till she die, but just not regent.

@@kristinedunner988 It was sadly discovered that prince Henrik was suffering from dementia and many of us Danes theorise that he had been sick for several years.
In fact I saw an interview with the queen where she said that he had been very ill for quite some time and that he wasn't himself and really felt awfull.

I totally loved how emotional and deeply moved the entire Danish royal family was at the change of thrones/proclamation ceremony, it only goes to show how strong a family unit they are and how human and relatable they can be.
Albeit a simple ceremony, it was beautiful and poignant in every way. Also, before Queen Margrethe left the State Council, right after her son had taken her place at the head of the table she said, "Gud bevare Kongen" (which means "God save the King" or "God preserve the King") with tears welled up in her eyes. 🥺
Such a historic moment and ah, the kiss that sealed the deed, I loved that too, We all needed that so much. ❤

Frederik is very emotional. he had tears in his eyes as she was signing the paper of abdication. Then when he came out on the balcony. He has the weight of the monarch on him and after seeing this I believe Margrethe did the right thing in abdicating because Frederick would not be able to handle the proclamation and his mother's death. That would have been too much for him. '
I enjoyed watching him be very thankful to the people of Denmark who showed up to see the proclamation. And the balcony kiss in which Mary asked Frederick if he wanted to but then she got distracted by someone inside as he was about to kiss her. That kiss put any rumors to bed.
Long Live King Frederick and Queen Mary.

It reminded me of former First Lady Michelle Obama's dress for the Neighborhood Inaugural ball , which was the first party on Inauguration night 2009. That was the ball that Beyonce sang Billie Holiday's classic * At Last" to the President and First Lady, she also sang the song as way to promote "Cadillac Road" the movie she starred in about Billie Holiday's life and rise to fame.

The Proclamation Ceremony of King Frederick X of Denmark was an event of great emotion, and a great demonstration of support and applause from the Danish people for their new Monarchs, King Frederik X and Queen Mary , Danish people , who , have also well expressed his admiration and gratitude to his previous Monarch , Queen Margaret II.
The huge crowd that attended the various Palaces where the King, Queen , and their Family , appeared was truly impressive, having King and Queen, in all situations , being highly applauded.
The attitude of Queen Margarethe and of Prince Frederik at the time of the transfer of Power was a great demonstration of sensitivity, elegance and respect, and simultaneously an adequate aristocratic posture, between the Mother, Queen Margarethe, and her son , the King to be , Frederik X, moments that were very well presented and commented in this video by Alexandra.
As for the New Monarchs ,
BESt WISHES for much Happiness and much success in Your Reign. A Long Healthy Life for King Frederik X of Denmark , and for his beautiful Family.
God Protect the King. God Save the King. Long Live the new King and Queen of Denmark. Best Wishes for a great future for Denmark, and for its people.

Ty, Ty for a wonderful report with all of the hard work you have put into it! I was moved today when watching the signing of the papers. When Q.Margrethe stood up and then motioned for K.Frederick to now take his seat at the head of the table. And then when she was looking down at him I could see her begin to get emotional and I did too. She said long live the king and turned and left, I could see her tears starting with those words and the smile it gave her son, although he did not see her tears. What a classy woman and Mother.
We saw the monogram ( I liked it)! And next will be his family order, at some point. After his speech his motto: United, Committed, for the Kingdom of Denmark, well done. The balcony shots were amazing, a sea of people, you could see K.Fredericks emotions. The family shot was beautiful, Mary in white with her Ruby accessories, beautiful and appropriate. Not only is she married to Frederick the color symbolized her marriage to Denmark, so-to-speak. And with Princess Isabella in Red, together with Q.Mary in white, they symbolized the Danish flag. Although It didn't look like Princess Isabella was having a good day, her expressions oh my, she I think could be Denmark's version of Britains little Prince Louis 😋
Again very well done Alexandra, ty so much.🤗

Alexandra was kind enough to translate the messages not in English. Charles's message you could read yourself.

I think that King Frederick should have kelped his new Queen consort with him on the balcony at all times. Because she will be the one to help him throw out his time on the Throne.

There is no hard proof of any affair. Only conjecture and rumor by trashy foreign press constantly trying to find some dirt on our royal couple. In Denmark, we don’t believe the rumors, and the loving scene on the balcony sure punches a BIG hole through the rumors of trouble in the marriage. Every couple has their ups and downs.
And don’t come back with some shit about them “just acting” or “ putting on a show”. Their love and admiration for each other is genuine, and because you don’t speak a word of Danish, you totally missed King Frederik referring to Queen Mary as “my beloved wife”.
It’s well known in Denmark that King Frederik is a family man and that his family is very harmonious and his kids are all bright, courteous, humble, well behaved, down to earth like their parents, approachable and friendly. But trashy foreign media won’t report any of that. They only want dirt and if they can’t find any, they will invent it.

Frederick and Mary were not coronated! Frederick is proclaimed king by the head of government Frederikson. Not even the nobility of neighboring countries are invited "because that only affects the Danes", or more precisely the government simply wants to save money. The king should actually be Denmark's represent at home and abroad - but the government of Denmark won't let him. Disrespectful. Proclamation on the balcony: the socialist prime minister does not stand next to the king, but stands in front of him to be the center of attention, and gestures several times directly in front of his head with her right hand: "Hurray!" - Simply disrespectful!

Lets not forget our so called prime minister is a known criminal and traitor of our country and constitution. We were more surprised she did not proclaim herself queen

Well I do understand you don't now all symbolics. Fredriksen pointet out north, west, east and south as tradition says. One direction they have to skip becose it will be directet into the palace.
Denmark haven't have coronation as someone wrote, in almost 200 years. Non of the Swedish Kings have been coronated since Oscar II some times in 1870-1879. The Norwegian house that started 1905, have ever coronated theres Kings I belive.

It's really a disgrace for the Danes. He would never represent the image, and body of the people of Danemark. I have My Best hopes for the current Main princes, and princesses, that they outsmart, and outplay their father.
