'82, the year I was born(hence the '82 part of my YT name, my Birthday's next Monday). My hat off to Allan for having The "Candy Shop" of Retro Goodness out there in Scotland, he's cool in my book. My hat off to you as well for showcasing his place for us to see, you're super cool. Having said that, another amazing video in the books. Superbly done Gems, really, awesome 👍🏽😎👍🏽🕹️🎮🍻
Me and the boys are in to allans shop almost every week, so many cool things to see, always something new, the guys are all friendly and helpful , highly recommend
Back in 1995 I bought a U.S. Turbo Express from Pawn America for about $100, I'd primarily play it at work during downtime hours and my coworkers loved playing it as well. I especially loved playing Soldier Blade on it but I traded it (along with a little cash) toward a Neo Geo AES system a few months later. I do have a Japanese copy of Magical Chase which is a great game and if I ever inexplicably become a millionaire I'll buy a U.S. copy.
I watched the Weskers Report video the other week after finishing Code Veronica for the first time! That RE boxset is beautiful, thanks for showing us all these great collectors items :)
@@TheGebs24 Was really tempted by a N64 console just to play pilot wings, but I had my 13 year old son with me and did the right thing and bought for him instead 😂 A limited edition superman figure and a Batman who laughs comic. It’s only 30 minutes drive for me so will be going back with a mate who also grew up playing these games. Christ we’re old 😂
That super famicom hotel box is just pure awesomeness. Shame It was damaged but was still great to see. And ommmmmmgg that resident evil anniversary kit, I fell in love with it!!!!
Mario Kart also gives me the most nostalgia, think I was 6-7 when I went up to my room and I had a tv a snes and mario kart sitting there as my bday present 🤩 best bday ever
Cool stuff, lovely retro computers, for example never seen that RX-78 before. Sony HitBit MSX computer always intrigued me, so nice to see the box in this video. I don't think I've seen that one either before, just the computer. Nice that Lego case for Commodore 64 too.
I remember i was about 6 and whenever I'd go to my cousins we would play Mario cart it was amazing. I had a sega but wish I had a nintendo snes now. My favourite mario cart is the n64 one that game was unbelievable
What a wonderful vid. Been watching Alan on a few vids lately, real passion, obviously a gamer as well as a collector. I need to make my way up there. Also when Alan said if we catch you... I don't think he was talking about the Police Gebs 😀😂 Fantastic vid, you're a ledge 💪🤙
Alot of people in the shmups community have Magical chase but hardly anyone had the Turbo grafix version. Quite a few of the games on the Turbo Grafix in the USA were online ordering through magazines as it failed straight out of the gate (Magical chase was the 10th last release of the system July 93). PC engine imports were the way to go. Its strange to me you have XX Super Nintendo's but ZERO PC engines. PC engine is a really nice console and most of the games are in English and has quite a few exclusives. I guess its because of the PAL thing as most stores don't stock PC engine.
We have 1 of 3 SNES Holy Grails. What do you think? 😍
Been living in Scotland my whole life and I never knew about this store until now and I will definitely be paying a visit thank you so much ❤️
You’re welcome. Enjoy 😉
Brilliant shop and Allan is 100% genuine. It's hard not to come away anytime without buying something. The best retro games store anywhere.
@@nysavant This place is heaven honestly
Absolute levels this video!
Nicely done Gem! ❤❤
@@reece3891 Thank you Reecey. Always try to push the limits of content delivery. Thankfully, Allan was super accommodating which was amazing
Fantastic video Gem! Definitely worth visiting, I would totally recommend anyone going there. Allan is an absolute legend!
