Your videos are very helpful to me because learning Ingress is so much harder than PokemonGo. I love this particular video because you gave us the whole story, which is fantastic in its entirety. So creative! It really helped me to grasp the complex world of Ingress. My husband and I write about our travels as a hobby, sharing our passion for history and travel. We are going a long trip in August where I plan to play Ingress and Pokemon Go along the way. My goal is to find small historical museums and places off the beaten path that I can learn about and gather information about what made America great and try to figure out how we can we build on that success in the future. My aim is to connect with people across the country and hopefully open new portals where we connect with other Ingress and PokemonGo players and learn about their culture and communities both inside the games and out. The idea that we are senior citizens, who are going on an Ingress Pokemon adventure, driving from Florida to Chicago to Nova Scotia and back to Florida, is novel at the least. I hope to make gains for the enlightenment team, enrich my game skills, and learn about history at the granular level. We will share the tale of our adventure as we Travel Through Time on our blog, Here and There With Pat and Bob. Playing Ingress and PokemonGo along the way will bring a whole new dynamic to this quest. I'm a big fan of innovative technology that supports and makes use of augmented reality, which can really enhance life and learning. AR technology and games of this kind offer people of all ages the opportunity to reunite with our past, learn in the present and explore the future - today. That is what has drawn me to these games. Now my next big hurdle is to really get a grip on Ingress and learn to hack and deploy. I can't even get my arrow to move at the moment. So lame! I will be looking for Ingress players and events along the way that will offer advice and help me to learn, play and gain confidence in the game. Any suggestions on how to connect with Ingress players and events in August would be greatly appreciated. In a way, playing these games have taken me into another dimension, way beyond my comfort zone and into a new world of interactivity with people, places and things enabling me to see the world and humanity in a fresh way, all the while searching for new portals of discovery. Thanks for making these videos, which serve as encouragement to this geriatric inexperienced gamer as I endeavor to play Ingress and PokemonGo like a pro. All the best, Pat Patten (Ingress and Pokemon name is PattensPoint) HereandThereWithPatandBob
I'm not speaking for everyone, but we basically grow with Pokemon, the story, the lore, the object is already familiar with everyone who had watched Pokemon. Not to mention the market base for original Pokemon series was young teenagers, so it has to be easy to understand. Ingress need to build its own story and character, and for just short four years, it's pretty incredible that it had covered such large user base.
I've been playing for just over a year and more addicted now that I was when I first started playing this weird nerdy thing. Your video has answered a lot of my questions in a neat concise way -- excellent stuff!! Thank you!
... He could make an series each about the key concepts of the history and how they changed across the anomalies, for complement for this main summary (just doing an update on this vid would be great)
I just started playing a few days ago. And I'm still SO confused. haha. I've watched so many videos. I'm SLOWLY learning, but damn -- this game is complex as hell. hahaha. :P
great video man ! PRISM is an actual intelligence operation based in australia aka the octopus ! game reflects on real life scenarios with a a sci fi twist
That was really good actually, I've been playing for a little over 3 yrs and didn't really keep up with the storyline after my first year. It was a nice history lesson of Ingress and overview. Thanks for sharing!
I love that a game that, when you boil it down, is essentially about making triangles, has a deeper and more complex lore than most Final Fantasy games 😂😂😂

I just found this video ... it is awesome :) Could you please share with me subtitles in EN and then we could prepare PL version for our colleagues in Poland who unfortunately do not speak english ?
I've been playing Pokemon go for about 4 months now, even play two accounts simultaneously... Since Niantic made Pogo, I decided to look at Ingress... From what I've seen so far it looks very good... However, before I choose my team I've been trying to find out about the communities near me and which team is more prevalent... Because I would prefer to be on a team or there's at least some players near me compared to be on a team where there's no one near me... Main reason I wanted to try out Ingress, was because I was tired of playing Pokemon go solo all the time! Sure I have two accounts, so I'm able to defeat tier 3 raids by myself... But still I want to do higher rates than that, and I need more people to play with however I cannot do it because I'm always so low! S*** is real lonely and it gets boring when you're lonely! So now I sit here with High Hopes awaiting my confirmation of my request to join the two local communities near me one for resistance and one for enlightened... I'm hoping I can find out about them both before I choose which team I'm going to play... I'm not sure how the people in the community are going to feel if they find out I have not chosen the team yet, but I hope they understand what I'm trying to do... Wish me luck!
Nice history lesson for all agents. ThX for this educational video. BTW: you really think this is just a game? Well, the world around you is not the one you think you know. There is more. A lot more! And if NIA won't tell you when the time comes, someone else will. Be ready. It will blow your mind. All I can say is ... There is no such thing as exotic. That's just a nickname for something not fully understood but trust me, there are a few who understand.
Jahan was a Resistance agent and an Anti-Magnus member, ADA was one of the thing 13 Magnus want to prevent from manifesting in this world, Jarvis' resurrection used the same method used by 13 Magnus to transcend death. I think it's the opposite, Enlightened's objective would be more in line with 13 Magnus, even if they disagree in many things.
Ingress require a new game genre to define it: Augmented Reality RPG, but it's basically still a role-playing game. Or maybe that's just what NIA want us to believe.

I know I'm four years late but a lore summary of Ingress prime would be quite lovely.

That's a pretty sweet summary. it would be great to get an updated version which we can share with our new community members.
No kidding! I just started playing, and this is all overwhelming!
+Alexis McCormick I started playing after half a year of absence, and I have no idea what the hell is going on.
... He could make an series each about the key concepts of the history and how they changed across the anomalies, for complement for this main summary (just doing an update on this vid would be great)
Glad to see something that puts it in simple terms I don't have to decode all day.
Just starting out and this video explains so much
I just started playing a few days ago. And I'm still SO confused. haha. I've watched so many videos. I'm SLOWLY learning, but damn -- this game is complex as hell. hahaha. :P
yeah..
I've been playing for years, I don't even pay attention to the story, I just destroy, deploy and build.
How do you get videos? I got 1, watched it and haven't gotten any more since.
pulsehead i think He meant He watched Videos on TH-cam, in which the game is explained..
Sask Pareki I understand the game, but Not this specific Story..
Great video, but a subtitle will be great, especially for agents which English is not their first language.
+YTS Chan the Chinese subtitles are now live. I am working on German, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
+Andrew Krug I see Portuguese is not enabled yet. Can I help you moving on from where you've stopped?

Thank you so much. It's absolutely fantastic summary and it clarifies tons of things I missed. Thank you!
Finally got a chance to watch this. Well done.
What a great video!
Wow, very good video. I didn't know what's going on in Ingress strory line until I see this video.
This needs to be turned into a tv show
+Luke Farmer (KiraAzun) Well the Ingress report is basically that just not on TV.
+BenZeGamer no, I think they mean like an x files type tv show
Well its being turned into an anime now
AznRice LOL I SAW ON REDDIT
It's an anime now.
So you all think this is a game???
Of course it is. For the Shapers anyway.
This is a quote from a video. From Klue.
I know. I watched that video too. "heh, to *play* Ingress. As if it's a game."
Muhammad Dimas Ariyanto thats what they want you to believe.😛
Thank you! That makes sense of so much info! Fantastic!
.. nice information and clever way to pass some codes yet all were already redeemed...
good job !!!
I love that a game that, when you boil it down, is essentially about making triangles, has a deeper and more complex lore than most Final Fantasy games 😂😂😂
i would love a part 2
great job! thank you so so much for uploading!
Great iniciative, I would like to recomend you to provide an subtitle version, so We can translate to all languages.
Great video! I shared with my ingress friends.
Not all are direct passcodes. Some may have to be converted/decrypted.
I have managed to discover the last code, but how long does a code have to expire?
1:45.... darn, I thought that was a passcode.
So cool...but so confused!!

Following this when the game launched was so fun

its not a game
its something more than that
what happened between persepolis abaddon obsidian and aegis nova?
And since then obsidian, via lux, via noir happens. From Abaddon I was attended at all :)))
What about the second part?
Has the story been finished yet?
Nice work!
Nice history lesson for all agents. ThX for this educational video.

If you don't want to watch all of that the summary is: You need to go out and make triangles :)
Smart
All this chaos of the past explain why we haven't gotten a reasonable update in over 8 years.
It’s not a game, they just revised an old history time line in to something fun
*coughcoughAgamecoughcough*
your on it
EXCELENTE VÍDEO !!!! DESDE HACE 1 AÑO QUE JUEGO Y SIEMPRE QUISE ENTENDER LA HISTORIA! :D :D
I wish this would become a movie/feature series
there's an anime about them now...
NIA = National Intelligence Agency or just NIL typo
Nice summary.
Someone make a updated lore video. Like cute animation ingress lore in one minute. xD
amazing job!
Just found this channel and I am so lost.
wow this was very informative
Im watching this because of Ingress the animation.
I would like sources
You guys conveniently excluded Nigel Moyer, who worked with Hank Johnson. You have created a new timeline like Marvel comics.
FR!
someone made a videogame about my life... and i thought i knew it all....
so, let me get this straight. Jarvis wanted to warn people of the rise of machines, but isnt the enlightened basically the anti magnus?
Jahan was a Resistance agent and an Anti-Magnus member, ADA was one of the thing 13 Magnus want to prevent from manifesting in this world, Jarvis' resurrection used the same method used by 13 Magnus to transcend death. I think it's the opposite, Enlightened's objective would be more in line with 13 Magnus, even if they disagree in many things.
they are here
we use xm to stop dumb people like u
This guy kinda looks like Dave Asprey
its a great video bit its still conficius
Wait... Is this real or made up? I'm now concerned about the whole thing being real 🙀
It's real.
+Syafiq Ibrahim lol
+Syafiq Ibrahim lol

Or maybe that's just what NIA want us to believe.
Its fake but to have fun we all believe its real
