Yep, beautiful country mate. You gave good advice along the way too & doing well carrying the weight. I know everything hurts by now, you should be proud of what you have covered already, tough old bugger. Respect.
I'll take my hat off to you Leigh for doing 21 miles in a day being the mature man you are not poking fun at you and the old injures that takes doing without a bergen. And Funky dropping out i think he suffers with cramps like myself and a shot knee. So have deserved rest good going Sir.
Well done buddy. Beautiful area to hike, very difficult terrain , and lots of hills, Shame funky dropped out early but I am sure you will all go back and finish the walk, you guys got 12 miles left to go, how many has funky got left to do ?.
fair play mate you did well with the filming while rucking its not easy tried it myself , shame about funky dropping out , its a huge amount of distance to cover with a heavyweight pack if your not doing regular training , did well to get as far as he got, tbh im around the same age as you fellas , and what you did considering you've not training for it was nothing short of epic
That's a mission failed then, should of given yourselves an extra 24hrs bud, I don't think you tic'd age and fitness into your equation, 72hrs is a more realistic target, carrying on at a later date doesn't make mission accomplished, your target was 48hrs, you can't just jack in a real case scenario you got to crack on, but yes 21 miles on day 1 was definitely a good effort.
The fact is, this was a bit of fun and not a real life scenario (whatever that is) The reality is we all have jobs to go to and need to be fit for and risking further injury and possible time off work was not an option. Its fine critiquing our efforts but in reality all options have to be weight up in any situation and the best option should be chosen no matter if it offends. Yes we would of liked to finish as planned but no egos here just family men with good intensions.
@@TheBugOutShop It's not about ego it's about doing what you say, this was a charity gig and your target was not realistic for unfit middle aged people and you failed, simple, and that's all I said, the truth without buttering it up with false niceties, most people can't take the truth on the chin nowadays. Real case scenario, your a Prepper with a Bugout store !! Are you saying you don't take it seriously and are only in it for the money, each to their own but I'm just being honest not fake, I'm not on a friend hunting mission I'm being honest with my word's and true to myself and I plainly stated the 21 miles you done in a day was a good effort.

Well done Chaps 👍🏻
